I strongly disagree.

1. For the third time, attraction does not equal desire and neither include action.
2. The phrase "gay agenda" is no more "inflammatory" than the phrase "nigger lovers".

My point being, that people were just as disparaging towards advocates of 'equal rights for blacks' as they now are toward people who have views of sexuality which differ from their own.

I have not directed any derogatory phrase towards anyone, nor have I been profane with my speech. If think that using the phrase "gay agenda" is acceptable, but "nigger lover" (in this specific context) is not, then we obviously disagree.

Sort of makes me wonder if have any idea what they're making kids read in high school these days.
Equating the term gay agenda with n-lover is pathetic and fully shows the weakness of your argument. It also shows you're not here to glorify God but for, ready for this, pushing the GAY AGENDA.

Tell you what, go to Camden, Detroit, Watts or any other similar district and tell the people living there the term gay agenda is equally disparaging as the term n-lover. You won't because you know your argument is abysmally and pathetically wrong.

Nope. If someone says their sin is right or ok Im going to tell them the truth according to the Bible. If someone here said "Im a compulsive liar Id give them Scripture on lying. Its your attitude. If you are saying God is ok with you being bisexual and He accepts that Im going to use the Word and tell you its wrong. That is truth. So apparently its God thats not compassionate.
Let us go our separate ways, Kaylagrl. Goodbye. God bless.

I've read through this thread zQueen and I honestly think the question goes back to one of the first. What makes you think you are a Christian? I thought I was a Christian for 5 years simply because I "liked the idea" of Jesus, and repeated what a pastor said. I still watched porn, smoked weed, loved the things of this world the biggest being video games. I just loved every distraction thrown at us the same as before. I knew Him not, now I would tell you that "you can't know my heart" and all that too, but I just thought of it all as a decent set of morals that would result in a decent life if lived by generally (while not living by them I might add) and that was basically it.

Then I knew Him not, now I KNOW Him and I have been made new. My testimony is posted here for the details [h=3]My testimony to Gods glory in my life. It's long but worth a read. That is why I am a Christian, because the very real and living God revealed Himself to me through Jesus Christ His Son. He filled me with His Spirit and made me all new overnight. Porn gone, life long video game habit gone, overnight. For me it was so radical and shocking I was just in awe. It happens for everyone different because it is a very personal relationship, but speaking for myself and what I assume others in Him know, it is unmistakable, and continues to lead us to truth and Himself (being the same thing really anyway).[/h]
So again deep down, what makes you say you're a Christian? Has He changed you in any ways? Truly being in Christ is not "foot in foot out" thing at all, and not by our will at all. ALL glory to God who changes us by His Spirit to bring us into all truth. Where are you on that journey right now? I am not trying to sound condescending or judgmental at all, I hope I don't this is just a very real thing and I know what it's like to have a false understanding of what it truly is. Anyway zQueen I am honestly curious to hear your answers if you feel like sharing, if not I understand and still pray you are in Christ truly regardless if before or later.

Why do you assume?
Actually, yeah, I looked up the word "gay" because I wasn't sure if it was still considered 'derogatory and offensive' or not.

It hurts to hear that you think I'm putting on a "morally superior" show here.
Almost feels as if your condemning critical thinking.

Do you hold yourself to the same standard as you hold others?
I've yet to see you post something which can be understood as the 'glory of Jesus Christ' here.
Go to the BDF and look up the following thread: Can a Gay Person be a True Christian

When I say I love gay people but hate the gay agenda, I mean it.

To God be the glory!

You didn't say that in your first post. You said you were a bisexual Christian.
That's right, Kaylagrl. I'm glad to see you, now understanding.

If you don't act on that desire that is one thing. But the desire/attraction for the same sex is unnatural according to what the Bible says.
Not agreeing or disagreeing at this point. Show me, if you will.

You have no argument! All you have are insults!

Flip your own scenario: Just as blacks were lynched in the past, non-heterosexuals are victims of lynchings (and murder) even TODAY!

My, your tone is HARSH, Utah! Good thing I wore my thick skin today! Thank you Jesus for protecting me!

The gay agenda espouses same sex marriage, which is in direct conflict with the bible. Disparaging other races also conflicts with the bible.

Everyone has desires, you may love alcohol, but the bible refers to a person who indulges in that a drunkard. A man may desire to be with beautiful women, but the bible calls it fornication. You may love to eat everything in sight, but the bible calls that gluttony. And you may desire same gender sex, but that's an abomination.

Everyone has their struggles, we all strive to overcome and flee our weaknesses. But as you say, fighting our natural desires is not a sin, but engaging in them is.

It's painful. Isn't it? (Or wasn't it?)

yeah...was...but for some people, they can't get over it...as if the knowledge I could sin was their cue to hold it against me the rest of my life

Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death. James 1:15

lust does not mean sexual sin only to be sure

many lust after objects, money, position etc

pain is an excellent deterrent against sin

I wanted to go separate ways, but then saw you beginning to understand me.
The ball is in your court.

Lets go back to the first. Im going to ask a simple question which can choose to answer or not. Are you saying that a Christian can be in a physical relationship that is either gay or bisexual and that is not sin? Everyone else here is getting the vibe that you are defending being bisexual. I gave the Scripture in Romans. So if I am misunderstanding you can you tell me what I am missing? If we are using Romans 1 as a guide, where do we have mutual understanding?

Just finished reading your testimony. Curious-did you write this 13 years ago?

Again, thank you for sharing.

After reading your testimony, I realize that I am not a changed person--I am not a Christian.

No, I'm not saying 'that a Christian can be in a physical relationship that is either gay or bisexual and not sin' - I'm saying that a person can find the same sex to be attractive, and be a Christian.

But, now I'm questioning whether I am a Christian because I have not been changed.

Quick to attack, slow to love. Is that the motto here?

seems as if alot you in this forum like to throw stones. I am a sinner. I sin everyday and if you are bisexual or homosexual God loves you just as much as I do. We all sin and if someone here says they don't on a daily basis then you should worry about them. God says who to trust in his word and that we are giving grace by faith and that we are saved by said faith. Don't let the will of man in this forum hinder your faith in god for they are sinning by judging you. We are all fleshy and will fail in our works. God so loved us he gave his son so that whomsoever believes shall not parish but have everlasting life. I dont think the bible is coded. It is very plain and perfect. Love god and knowing we are sinners is the first step to repent for our sins and ask for forgivness. Im so sorry for some of the responses in here. Forgive us lord for we are sinners.
