Thank you again everyone for all the prayers and advice. Pilgrim I'm going to look into body building I need a healthy distraction. I'm so glad you're cured now and God helped you through this when you were younger. God is so amazing!! I just have a huge fear of getting fat and get mad at myself when eating bad.

Hi sister! This is something I've struggled with myself, especially in high school. I feel so much better now that I'm older. I recently read a book on this too. I would like to share it with you. It's called Brain Over Binge and it really helped me stop binging and purging. This is such an ugly thing to go through and I know how it feels. If you need to talk to someone, you can PM me. :)

Godgivesmestrength.....name it and claim it! Your screen name says it all. We know that it's not actually the 'food'. It's mental, 'nerves" and psychological...exactly what the Holy spirit has the cure for. The Bible says "Be ye transformed by the renewing of your MIND". It's way past time. Nobody can force you to change. Only the power of the Holy Spirit within you can do that. You have lots of intercessory prayer warriors here that are sending up special prayers on your behalf.

I had two friends with bulimia. One stopped after her daughter was born. By that time she needed $40,000 with of dental work, because the stomach acid had ruined her teeth. The other was a mental mess, the bulimia symptomatic of so many wrong things in her life.

When my daughter started vomiting when she was 13, we got her into to see a child psychiatrist in a few weeks. We had just moved into our new home and the bathroom doors had not been hung, it was so easy to hear her, that is how we found out! I don't know what that doctor said, but after 6 sessions she was better and never happened again. She was very involved in figure skating, wanted to be a pro, and might have thought she needed to be a bit thinner. She became a coach instead.

So it is possible to quit forever, but sooner is better than later, a before the damage has occurred. I'm sure glad the counselling is working! Keep up the great work!

Prayers for you. Anytime you feel the need to throw up. Pray just continue to pray until you no longer feel the need. Dont be so hard on yourself. Ask for forgiveness, and guidance from the Holy Ghost to help you overcome this. God bless you.
