my 2 dads

heres how I ended up having 2 dads - my mum cheated on her bf, he left her, she had me, then when I was 2 she left with a guy and abandoned me. a gay couple decided to take me on and Ive lived with them ever since. Im not sure how i should feel about them. ppl say that gays go to hell but doesnt all the good theyve done cancel it out or sumet?? I dont want to go to hevean if theyre not allowed in. but i also dont want to spend eternity in hell. pls give me sum advice on this

Actually, God is the one that tells you all about this.

First, it is God who decides if someone is going to hell or not, and what we think is not included in this decision. Every individual is on his own. For any human to decide would be like a human deciding to move a brick wall.

Also, God created you and the world, and it is only up to us to find out how our lives are to fit into how our world is. It was wrong for your mum to not respect marriage and abandon you. God used her to give you life, you can respect her for that. Being abandoned is a hurt that only God can heal, and God will do that for you.

God wants for you what in the old Hebrew language is called shalom. We don't have a word in English for that, but it is all goodness and love and abundance. So God is always working for each of us to offset the injustice done us by people breaking His law. God is using your Dads to give that to you, and you are giving love for them back. That is a very good thing.

I am sorry, but how your Dads are living is as much against God as how your Mom is living. That is just how it is. It is up to God what God will do about that, it is not up to you. Your job is only to follow God with praise and thankfulness. So you can thank the Lord for sending your Dads to you, you can love them and thank them, everything else is out of your hands.


You can trust God to love all of you and to make the very best of everything for everyone that it is possible to make. No one in this life knows just what we face at our death, we can only follow God's ways with trust in Him. God loves what He created, God will do the best that can be done. So don't bother to even think worry thoughts.

You know that Lot lived in Sodom a place full of gays. The word sodomite comes from this word. Right now this is your lot. You are too young to do anything about the situation. The sin is wrong but the Lord loves the sinner. Be a light. Many children have parents that are not saved. You are not exempt from following the Lord' ways because you have parents who are not. Pray for them everyday. Keep yourself by gathering with some saints around you that will be strength for you.

You're not going to go to hell XXbabyboyXX. And the only one who decides if they go to hell is God. I'm sorry what happened with your parents, its inexcusable what they did to you.

I hope these people you're living with are taking good care of you. Please don't worry that you will be going to hell. Do you have an adult that you could speak to about what you've been through?

I dont want to do things the way people do them: youve seen enougg of that to see its not the way.

But aline your life to God's ways and be blessed.

When it comes to hell, God is fair. and let Him be judge, but we gotta do things God's way if we care about God too.

Think of them as the ones who came through for you, and the ones who raised you, so yes, they are your parents.

I wish I could give you a sugar coated answer about homosexuality, but the bible says it's a sin. Sinners get saved all the time though, or none of us would be here and this web site wouldn't exist.

What is important for you is to follow the message of Jesus Christ. Let Him into your life if you haven't already, and walk in faith. I have lots of people I know who are not saved who I hope will someday be saved, but that's not a good reason not to follow Christ for myself.

You be a Christian and still love them.

All things work to the good of God. Perhaps this path fell to you so that you can demonstrate to your 2 dads the love of God. Practicing homosexuality is wrong, but God loves them just the same and is willing to forgive them if they ask. Don't push them, just show them the life and love in God, and the Holy Spirit will do the rest.

They sound like good people, and I think you should love them unconditionally whatever your views on homosexuality are, because they did an amazing and selfless thing for you. Good luck to both you and your Dads, I hope you are happy and have a good life together. :)

Very good advice :).

It definitely is a good thing that you love your 'dads' :). I've heard this comment several times...."I don't want to go to heaven if _____isn't there". The main reason we should desire heaven is simply to be with God. Read His Word and you will get to know Him and the Holy Spirit will lead you in understanding sin, hell, and how we got in the mess that we're in...and also the wonderful 'solution' to that mess :).

Obviously they love you and you love them. God loves all his creations. Don't let this bother you embrace love as God would.

Dosnt matter what a person is like, if they have rejected Jesus then they will go to Hell regardless. It is called Grace.

YOu can still be homosexual and a have Jesus as your saviour and know Jesus has saved you, despite what some people claim, just as someone who is a compulsive liar, someone who is addicted to sex can be a Christian, or someone who takes drugs or is drunk everyday.

Listen, whether your Dads are gay or not, whether they will go to Heaven or not. They obviously helped raise you right, because your asking the right questions. Know this above all, we go to Heaven because God is kind and loving, we go to Hell because we wished to not be with that kind and loving God. In the end, you are loved by God as are your Dads, and at the end of the day, no matter the sin, whether it is or is not, if you and your Dads have Christ as your Lord, we will see you in glory with our Eternal Dad and our Lord and Bridgegroom.

You said, that your dads are good, so I guess they might have done plenty of decent works... They could even take part in huge range of charities or even organise them... They could be the best of the world, but if they do not know Jesus as them saviour they won't be saved. Holly Bible says in Ephesians 2:8-9 that "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:Not of works, lest any man should boast." You said, religion doesn't want your guardians, so they don't want it too... Well actually, we don't have to be religious, personally, I don't like religion... It puts people into the frames and jail them with loong list of requirements. We all have to notice, that there are wide variety of religions and they all are the same. But we have the ONE who was BEFORE all religions and that's our GOD! (Read the Genesis if you are in doubt). If we do everything with God's presence we don't need to ask is it good or not. Therefore the Holy Spirit shows us what to do in each situation.So firstly you have to accept Jesus in your own heart and than pray for your guardians. God loves you and all of us no matter what we've done. But you need to love Him too, if you want always be alive, blessed and loved! :)
