Wouldn't that fact still be true if you had never seen Romans 1:20 in your whole life..... didn't even know it had ever been written?
.
I am sorry but this is just getting ridiculous.

How is that a lie? I just posted the verse.
What verse? You did not post the verse. You told me which verse it was without posting the actual verse. There is a difference, you know, just like there is a difference between what you said Jesus said, and what Jesus actually said. Perhaps you need to read the verse again to figure it out. Read the verse, and then compare to what you said Jesus said. They do not match up.

Here you go I will hold your hand and help you look up a verse for you.

Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven.
Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God."

Now since I had to do all the work for you and spoon feed you tell me how I did not say that? Because I said they CANT like a camel CANT go through the eye of the needle whether its literal or old hebrew slang for the great palace.

Oh really?
Guess what?
You don't concern me at all.
.
For the hundredth time you should not take it as everybody attacking you. Instead of not being or being concerned with him you should focus on the message and be or not be concerned with that. You and Willie turning everything into a battle isnt helping anything.

So what's your point?
You sound like a Hillary democrat, pointless.

I don't get it.

What is a false teacher?
Biblically it means someone who teaches heresy.
Like, for instance, they teach that Jesus was a nice prophet, but not God.

So, is Joel a false teacher because he doesn't preach the way you would want him to?
I don't know any preacher that's just right.
They're all lacking.

I believe the important thing is not so much that they may not say everything you would like them to,
but that they don't say INCORRECT doctrine.

There's a big difference between JO and Word of Faith pastors.
They tell you to buy oil, they tell you to buy pieces of cloth, sand,
They tell you to plant seeds and that you'll get money for it.
They tell you that if you give, God will give you back threefold (or is it 10?)

JO is very positive. But he does not promise God will answer all your prayers. He
says that we should look to God for everything and try to live positively. Is this wrong?
Does God desire us to have a miserable life?

I believe God wants us to be healthy and prosper. That doesn't mean we'll be healthy or rich.
But I also don't believe He would want us to be sick and poverty stricken. I believe this is the work of satan

JO is saying that we should not give the victory to satan.

.
no. everybody says this because he teaches Jesus is not the only way to heaven and that we dont pray for the Lord but for our own desires and many other twisted things against the bible.

Jesus, and all speakers of that time, would go on a high place or hill and everyone would gather around.
The voice would carry.

When Jesus gave the Sermon on the Mount, he was on a low hill from which one could see the flat plain and the Sea of Galilee in the distance.

LOL
So you think sound travels a long distance in higher altitude and doesnt travel in lower altitude?
LOL

It matches perfectly and instead of posting it too why dont you just provide for yourself.
It does not match perfectly so you misrepresent again. Jesus did not say a rich man could not enter into the kingdom of heaven, which is what you said He said, and now you say it matched perfectly what He said when it does not. Abraham was a rich man. David was a rich man. Do you really think neither enter/ed the kingdom of heaven? Jacob was also rich. Joseph was second in command in Egypt. Jesus was making a point, but it was not what you said.

Hi Fran,

Cute picture by the way. Daughter?

The Lord determines what His servant is to be and what the qualifications are. Not me or you. I'm only reading God's word and Joel doesn't come up to snuff as they use to say. :)

He doesn't reprove, rebuke, exhort or correct. He won't.....he said he won't. It's not his calling. So if it isn't his calling, why is he preaching/teaching if he's not going to teach all of God's word?

In obedience to God and His word, he can't leave out what he doesn't like. When he isn't preaching according to God's rules, he becomes a false teacher.

So it all has nothing to do with me. I'm not telling him how to preach. God is telling him how to and he's not listening. He's saying what he wants to say. So God hasn't sent him.

I'm being obedient to God's word and I'm using His discernment.

I'm trying to warn others that there headed in the wrong direction by following a false teacher. That's all I can do.

If you all still like him, you'll still follow him. But there may be someone that doesn't know and will check out his teachings with God's word and see if he is really teaching the gospel of the kingdom or not.

That happened to me as a young believer. I didn't realize there was so much differing truths out there that all claim they're preaching God's truth. I didn't check anything out for a while until I read in the bible that we are to do so.

As an example, I tell my oldest child to tell his brothers and sister that we're going to the amusement park tomorrow at 4:00, but they must have their rooms cleaned by noon because we will leave the house at that time.

So the oldest tells the siblings about the amusement park and that we'll leave at noon, but he purposely leaves out the fact that they can't go if their rooms aren't cleaned.

Did my oldest tell them the truth? Or is it a falsehood? Of course it's false, the kids weren't able to go and yet they were told they could without being told about their messy rooms.

Withholding part of the truth becomes a lie. Even satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness with truth. But when truth is misused it's false no matter how true the scripture satan used was.

Satan told Adam and Eve truth. They didn't die physically. They did know both good and evil. But the truth was twisted by satan for his evil purpose of deception and the fall of mankind. But Adam and Eve died spiritually. Like Joel leaving out parts of the truth, satan left that part out as well.

That's what Joel is doing. He purposely leaves out anything negative he says because that's not what he's called to do.

2 Timothy 4:1,2
I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.

Acts 20:26,27 Therefore, I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men. For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.

.
If she already saw a load of twisted things he says like Jesus means nothing and still cant see it she never will.

Very interesting.
Since the new testament doesn't touch on tithing, and since some churches do not tithe, does that mean the ones that do tithe are teaching false doctrine and stealing money from
God's people?
Can you possibly defend that with Scripture?
That would put most Christian churches on earth guilty as you charge Osteen.
There would be practically no Christians left on earth, they would all be pagan worshipers.
Can you say that Osteen is going to hell?
While preachers that take your money by using false doctrine are going to heaven?
Strictly using Scripture, I would say just about everyone's going to hell.
So why are you so against one man?

.
The commandments are in the Old Testament too. Does that mean you throw them away? And Osteen doesnt tithe, he takes tithes and keeps them for himself. And tithing in the bible was not a commandment and punishable by hell, tithing was created as an agreement that the Lord walks with you. It was started by Jacob when he promised the Lord to tithe if he walk with him always.

I knew what Jesus said before you posted the verse in question the first time. Posting it over and over again will not change the fact that Jesus did NOT say that a rich man cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. I will leave you to your stubborn refusal to see what is actually written in light of other Scriptures that refute what you say. Certainly there is no perfect match there! Good night :)

Why is it when someone disagrees with something, instead of countering with what's been said, in other words sticking to the discussion, the person goes off on another tangent altogether. Why talk about others. The discussion is about Lakewood Church and Joel Osteen.

So how 'bout if we stick to what I said. Can you prove that what I've said is wrong? If so, please do. I actually do love to be proven wrong in cases like this. The problem is, I've heard him speak these things himself.

I'm not against one man. You brought him up. You were saying how much you love his teaching. I felt compelled of the Lord to give another side of the story that I've heard him say.

.
Lets make a page about what we think about this guy but get mad at opinions.

Ironic this comment. A wolf who spreads dessention yet claims to be concerned about his
group of believers and their deception having a light shone on it.

If the position of faith that is being taken when most christians are no longer believers or
never were, these are just agitators and deceivers and not bringers of peace.

And the guy doesnt even know which side he stands on while hes putting people down on both sides of the opinion.

Oh you were hung up on a word nobody cares about. Still seems like a pride issue and no real statement being made. Ok he didnt say CANT but let me know when you see a camel walk through the eye of a needle. And some versions do say cant and no I am not looking things up anymore since you want to play games.
