By raising your children with one religion and telling them they will go to Hell if they do not believe it is WRONG. Children should be able to study religions and make their own decision.

That is actually not correct. We are instructed to raise our children in the House of the Lord, Guiding them and giving them instruction into the word of God. Planting a seed in them that will take root and grow and become salvation. All salvation must start with a seed. THUS we preach the word in season and out of season. The family unit is a field that must bring forth Godly children. Our First ministry is to our own house hold. And that is God word.

I raise my children with the truth. Not religion. The truth is everything that God has given us to know in His Holy Word.
What you state is rather strange? But maybe not, you have not discovered the truth of God's word....that's all.
It's like this, If you knew that your child was going to unknowingly walk into a pool full of Acid, and you knew.....would you allow them to go?
The same goes with Salvation. I will not lead them in the path that leads to death. ..." When they are old, they will not depart from it" (Prov 22:6)

You do not BELEIVE in the Word of God as TRUTH.

It is the same with lifestyles, careers and hobbies. If I had a child, I'd allow them to make their own choices. Including their sexuality. If my child admitted that they were homosexual or bisexual, I'd still love them because of who they are. I wouldn't start forcing them into heterosexuality. If I had a daughter and she was getting married to another woman, I would still give her away at the wedding. If my child wanted to be a politician, I'd do anything I could to help them fulfil their dream. I wouldn't force them to be a musician or sportsman (I am both). If my child liked horticulture, I wouldn't force them to get involved in paintball if they didn't want to. I have in fact done horticulture in the past, so I could help them out as much as I could. Going back to GodlessGirl1's example; if my child chose to follow Islam, I'd be ok with it. I'd help them out if there was something about Islam that they didn't know. I know a bit about the Muslim faith. I also have a friend who is a Muslim. I'd help them out in any way I could.

Parents should be more permissible towards their children. They shouldn't force them to do things they don't want to do.

He admitted to having done horticulture! Stone him! :D Nice to meet you, I have been known to do horticulture as well. :)

I think we shouldn't just let our children explore their own path indiscriminately, that's a good way to get in an accident. Literally and figuratively.

Please explain to me as to why you feel you have the right to tell complete strangers how to raise their children and how to believe.

What authority do you have to force your views on strangers, and expect people to do what you say?

Guess you will never know right from wrong unless you read the Bible. If there is no standard, there is no offense.

President Murgl, Leader of 'The International Association of Angry Atheist Trolls' has granted her said permission. You should know this by now, silly.

Let me ask you this...Who gives atheists the right to raise their children to be atheists?

Ephesians 6:4
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

We expressly see the points stated by Paul and they are one of bringing a child up in the instruction of the Lord, as a mother and father guides their child in the way of understanding that they may gain wisdom and understanding, so it is even more important for that child to be brought ONLY in the instruction of the Lord, to teach other religions and to teach your son or daughter idolatry which we know is in defiance to the word of God.

Proverbs 22:6
Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

What are you training your child in? to expose them to falsities which WILL lead to destruction or to bring in up in the knowledge of the truth, of the only Sovereign and Omnipotent God?

Exodus 20:3
“You shall have no other gods before me.

In Exodus the Lord clearly stated that you shall not have other gods before him, to teach of other religions and their beliefs is not only teaching them corruption but you are serving your children to gods that are not even gods!

As the Lord said, in his truth.

Isaiah 45:5
I am the LORD, and there is no other, besides me there is no God; I equip you, though you do not know me,

Ephesians 4:14
so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.

As we mature in our walk we are meant to become grounded and mature in the faith, not tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine, why would be feed our kids lies and expose them to 'strange' religions, as to cause them to stumble and to toss them to and fro by human cunning and by craftiness in deceitful schemes.

Deuteronomy 4:9
Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.

We are to feed our children the truth of the word, not lies, to bring them up in the knowledge of the Living God not idols.

I also find it rather ironic that in one post you criticise the concept of free will and then here you use employ the concept of "should"/"ought" and assert that people are even capable of making their own decisions free of external influences. Could you explain what appears to be a contradiction?

we are really in an age of tolerance. we are able to accept just about anything . But If you really love your kid you would want that child to have life and have it more abundantly. and you would train your child the right way .why do we think we know better than God? God said train up a child in the ways of the Lord. how can one argue against such explicit statements?
i know that greater harm than good is done by giving a child too much freedom of choice. The heart of a child is bound up with foolishness but the rod of correction will drive it far from him...proverbs 22:15

So... I let my child burn in hell for eternity? That's like letting your child walk into the path of a bus because it's their choice and you shouldn't force them into doing things, except for the fact it's to a much worse degree, that being Hell.

Let's also understand that, I don't regard Hell, Heaven, or Jesus as something that is likely, or something I believe in which may or may not be true, it is the truth. So I could not in good conscience allow my child to run wild without guidance.

Don't expect much logic from this troll. I saw her in chats chiding Christians for their close-mindedness, while boasting of her open mindedness. Then, two minutes later said even if God Himself physically came to her she'd refuse to believe. She's one of the weakest, sorriest excuses for an atheist i've seen on this site. She is the true essence of fail. And fail troll. Shes not capable of making a point without contradicting herself down the line. Zero credibility. Just a joke.

There are a lot of choices I cannot allow my children to make. Playing with gasoline and matches among them.

A parent provides love, guidance, and an example for their children to follow. Everyone walks a different path so your children will follow their own path regardless of what you have planned for them.

I am glad you found this site, and it would be nice if you would allow us to accept you as a Christian, if that is okay with you.
