All those issues have been previously addressed on this and other threads. Nice try but you have added nothing new.

As for Utah's stated desire to see liberals die, he has mentioned this TWICE. Therefore, he is not kidding nor making light of the subject. I do hope God forgives him but it will not happen unless and until he repents of his hate. As stated previously by another poster, haters gonna hate ...

We still await the fulfillment of Trump's stated pledge that ''every American will be covered by health care insurance". If he has any integrity at all, he will present some proof of this.
First of all even if these issues were talked about in other threads, that does not mean that I cannot add my two cents in as well. Do not use an ellipsis when what I was talking about the travel ban (which is more of a pause then a ban actually) was important. So he mentioned it twice, I never said he was kidding or making light of the subject. He is passionate not necessarily hateful. Again, Trump is trying to keep his promises but he knows that some might not come to pass the way he wants them to. Stop hating Utah and take down the quote you are using as your signature, that is not right! Since you have become a member of Christian Chat you have been very antagonistic of Republicans and those who support them, instead of trying to understand why they think the way they do. Instead use a Bible verse or something else. Thanks. God bless and God bless America! :)

Speaking of antagonistic, you sidestep the matter of Utah openly calling for the death of liberals. You think that is not antagonistic, huh? Or does it reflect your views as well?

Double standards, much?

Utah openly calling for the death of liberals
liberals are voted most likely to walk after the flesh in opposition to the Lord...you know, with their baby killin, pot smokin, globalist ways and all.

They cause their own death with nobody helping them.

''baby killin'' - Roe v Wade was decided by a REPUBLICAN majority {op cit}

"globalist" - your hero Bush called for a "coalition of the willing" - now Trump also called for world action in Syria & North Korea

"pot smokin" - Bush's and Palin's children are Republican

There you go again... worshiping politics and politicians

It's obvious what your first love is... and concerning war, out of necessity the Lord has whipped out entire nations of people and He ain't done yet as Jesus is the Man of war as He will utterly destroy God's enemies and will rule His 1000 year reign with a hand of iron.

Ain't gonna be no bleeding heart liberals during the 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ... liberals will either do things His way or get on the highway to hell.

Going by what you say... looks like you are on the wrong side of eternity!

For a "conservative" (cough cough) you sure do coddle liberals.

Especially when liberals call for the death of unborn children. 55 million and growing.

You're such a hero. Applause, applause.

this coming from the guy who quotes salon.com articles who by the way thinks Maxine waters should be president. How's your church bake sale/fundraiser going to support all of your refugees you can't house cuz you live in a small apt? I think you fell out of a stupid tree and hit every branch on your trip to the stupid ground. Lol

LOL. Forum Pharisees claim to be worshipers of the Prince of Peace but ignore the Bible's lessons on disarming and in trusting God to defeat enemies {biblical quotes previously shown on this forum}. The same pro death endorsers of the Republican party which voted as it did in Roe v Wade and in Casey v Planned Parenthood.

So hilarious that they believe the Gates of Heavenly Paradise will be open to them, despite all their hate, their constant badgering of others, prejudices, and delusional self righteousness.

Tom Cotton changes his tune on Medicaid expansion when faced by angry voters back home

What a difference a month—and having to face your constituents in person—has made for Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), who faced angry town hall crowds back home this week. Cotton was absolutely slammed at a Monday town hall, "on topics ranging from Donald Trump’s tax returns and possible ties to Russia to the GOP push to repeal Obamacare" Politico reports.
It was the latest in a string of confrontations between GOP lawmakers and voters during Congress’ two-week spring recess, coming on the heels of the party’s failed bid to overturn the Democratic health care law. Cotton, a rising star in the Republican Party seen as a potential White House aspirant in time, withstood 90 minutes of boos and occasional cheers from an oft-agitated crowd in Little Rock, Arkansas.
One exchange, however, liveblogged by the Arkansas Times made actual political news.
Cotton was asked whether he supported repealing the Affordable Care Act, which would take away health insurance from 300,000 Arkansans (that's the approximate number of citizens in the state covered by the Medicaid expansion). Cotton said that he still supported repealing the ACA. But he disagreed that repealing the ACA required taking health insurance away from those 300,000 Arkansans. In fact, he said he opposed the recent House repeal-and-replace bill in part because it would do just that (via eliminating the Medicaid expansion). Lot of spin in his answer, but the key takeaway: Cotton says he still wants to replace Obamacare but he seems to be committing, in practice, to protecting some version of the coverage expansion achieved in Arkansas via the private option (also known as Medicaid expansion). That's an important political story.

That's the same Cotton who just a month ago told Jake Tapper on CNN's State of the Union program that "Medicaid is a welfare program," designed for "the indigent, elderly, the disabled, the blind and children." He implied that anyone not in those categories was a moocher. "It’s not designed for able-bodied adults," he said. "We want to get those people off of Medicaid, into a job and into market-based insurance."
Maybe since then Cotton has discovered that the majority of Arkansans on the state's "private option" Medicaid expansion are actually working. In jobs. Having to talk to people in person probably has helped him figure that stuff out.
He's made his commitment now—he'll protect his state's Medicaid expansion. Good job, Arkansas. Keep him on it.

In one of USA political history's greatest ironies, Trump and his cohorts who condemned Obamacare have now actually made it more popular than ever!

Thank you, Trump!

Nothing, I repeat nothing this peacenik character has posted has proven to have any basis in truth at all. It is safe to ignore everything this person posts and consider it to be nothing but nonsense. He likes Maxine waters as president anyway. That alone is enough to prove that he is kookoo for Cocoa Puffs.

LOL. Ultra right wing trolls Sirk & Rockrz hating again. But that's to be expected as they have again lost another debate and engage in their usual deflections, projections, and Pharisaism.

No truths in what I post? LOL. It is your own right wing hero Cotton who openly takes back his own expressed views when he sees that his constituency is against him. Now tell me that isn't the truth.

Oh by the way, I'm still waiting for you to prove certain claims you made about me previously. It's only been a few months but you have had plenty of time to find your "proof" of these lies. Remember, it is a sin to tell a lie, oh great "Christian".

Back on topic (too bad the deluded forum right wingers can't deal with these truths - m'heh, m'heh):

The USA can learn from these foreign health care systems

The U.S. has lots to learn when it comes to health care coverage.
And studying what other countries have done is even more useful now that President Trump and the Republican-controlled Congress have failed to produce a health care plan to replace the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare.
USA TODAY picked five countries ranked in the top 10 for health care, according to a 2016 prosperity index by the Legatum Institute, a think tank based here. The index measured performance in basic physical and mental health, health infrastructure and preventative care.
There are a number of similarities — and differences — in the way the top-rated countries provide health care:
• All are dealing with aging populations. The World Health Organization said the average life expectancy at birth worldwide was 71.4 years in 2015. In the U.S. it was 78.74.

• Most of the systems have universal health care, meaning all citizens have access to health services without finding themselves in financial hardship.
• Spending as a share of the economy does not equate with quality of care. Some of the top-rated countries spend less than the world average of 10% of GDP. The U.S. spends the most — 17%, according to the World Bank.
• Alcohol and tobacco use are key risk factors to health.
• Most patients are satisfied with their treatment.
Here is a closer look at five of those top-rated systems:
Singapore

William Haseltine, the co-founder of the think tank ACCESS Health International, believes the city-state's promotion of “social harmony” is a key factor in its health care achievements. “They believe that nobody in their country, even a foreigner, will go without health care," he said at a talk at Harvard University in 2014. The government regulates both public and private health insurance.
TYPE OF SYSTEM: Government-funded
LEGATUM HEALTH RANKING: 2
POPULATION: 5.6 million
LIFE EXPECTANCY AT BIRTH: Male 80; female 86
TOTAL HEALTH EXPENDITURE AS PERCENTAGE OF GDP (2014): 4.9
RISK FACTORS; Alcohol, tobacco
Switzerland

People living in Switzerland pay for health care themselves through insurance contributions. Health care for people with low incomes is subsidized by the government. Undocumented immigrants are in a difficult position, however, because people can only take out insurance if they have papers proving valid residence for more than three months.
TYPE OF SYSTEM: Paid for by residents
LEGATUM HEALTH RANKING: 3
POPULATION: 8 million
LIFE EXPECTANCY AT BIRTH: Male 81; female 85
TOTAL HEALTH EXPENDITURE AS PERCENTAGE OF GDP (2014): 11.7
RISK FACTORS: Alcohol, tobacco
Japan

A trend of patients attending hospitals for minor complaints like colds has led some hospitals to charge about $30 to people without referrals from doctors, according to The Japan Times. Residents, who are required to have public health insurance, pay up to 30% of the cost of treatment and prescriptions. People with low incomes get government support.

TYPE OF SYSTEM: Hybrid, funded by taxes and public health insurance
LEGATUM HEALTH RANKING: 4
POPULATION: 127 million
LIFE EXPECTANCY AT BIRTH: Male 80; female 87
TOTAL HEALTH EXPENDITURE AS PERCENTAGE OF GDP (2014): 10.2
RISK FACTORS: Alcohol, tobacco
Australia

Although the population’s overall health is generally good, some groups have poor health status —notably Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders, the Australian government says. The private health sector is complemented by Medicare, the universal public health system. The government gives a subsidy of about 30% to people who buy private health insurance.
TYPE OF SYSTEM: Mainly government-funded
LEGATUM HEALTH RANKING: 8
POPULATION: 24 million
LIFE EXPECTANCY AT BIRTH: Male 81, female 85
TOTAL HEALTH EXPENDITURE AS PERCENTAGE OF GDP (2014): 9.4
RISK FACTORS: Alcohol, road traffic accidents, tobacco
Israel

Israel began providing health care insurance to all of its citizens in 1995. Foreign workers must be enrolled in private insurance plans by their employers. Israel has the longest life span in the Middle East and Africa.
TYPE OF SYSTEM: Government-funded
LEGATUM HEALTH RANKING: 9
POPULATION (2015): 8 million
LIFE EXPECTANCY AT BIRTH (2015): Male 81, female 84
TOTAL HEALTH EXPENDITURE AS PERCENTAGE OF GDP (2014): 7.8
RISK FACTORS: Alcohol, tobacco

Note that Israel is included - its SOCIALIST health care system was praised by Republican Mitt Romney:

https://ivn.us/2012/07/30/mitt-romney-praises-israels-socialized-health-care-system/

And this SOCIALIST system is aid for by USA taxpayers.

LOL. Still waiting for that "proof".

Why don't you back it up or be a good Christian by just taking it back. It is time for you to repent, desist in your projections, and in your Pharisaism.

Must admit though that I laugh at your objection to my quoting Salon or Maxine Waters as you find those words objectionable but you appear to applaud Utah's wish to see liberals die. That sure is a bizarre form of "Christianity" you two and the rest of your defenders believe in.
