What Obama does or does not do will make no difference.
Jerusalem will not be divided because Israel will not allow it.
It they try, the IDF will destroy them.
I agree and will step further. God will not allow the division of Jerusalem, but they'll try and are trying.

They can not enforce it WITH the US and Canada.
Neither country will enforce that worthless UN resolution.

I dont know.

UN granted Jerusalem to both Israel and Palestina in 1948. No side should usurp the city as "their own".
How could the UN grant Jerusalem to Israel when it has always been a part of Israel?

What do you mean by "always"? Israel did not exist for 2000 years till 1948. UN resolution made Israel to exist.

Jerusalem has been a part of many empires before this, many times a muslim ones.

Re: At a vote in The UN yesterday NZ & 148 other nations voted to divide Jerusalem

Just a question - do you really believe that sacrifices and offerings were not ended in the 1st century AD?

Jesus was the last and perfect sacrifice. The old sacrifices were put to the end.
The word, "sacrifices" does not appear in the original text in Dan 11:31. There was nothing holy about the fortress of the sanctuary before 70 AD and there were no prayers at the wall protecting the sanctuary.

Agreed!!

Prime Minister John Keys of New Zealand just announced his resignation.

Good bye John, and the next time maybe you will be wise enough to not mess with the Apple of Gods Eye.

Worst thing is --- it was an iniative of the NZ prime minister who met with Obama behind "closed doors"and made agreement- next day NZ hit with 7.8 earthquake!!

How I understand it, Obama would need to veto (or vote against) it before his term is up to stop the initiative to divide Jerusalem. What'd you think he'll do, or not do?
my guess Obama [ will not veto it] , he has no love for the Jewish state.

Re: At a vote in The UN yesterday NZ & 148 other nations voted to divide Jerusalem

I am supportive of truth and I dont care if it comes from the USA, Russia, China, EU, Israel or Palestine.

I am not "for" anybody. When Israel does things right, I am for him. When Israel does things wrong, I am against him.

I am actually very often on the side of Israel. Because Israel is mostly right.

This thread is full of wrong information, thats why I got involved.
. The land was uninhabited wasteland. The powers that be, at the time (yeah, like anything has changed) were intensely anti-semitic. They wanted the "jew problem" solved so they gathered those people up and shoved them on what amounts to a reservation.

Through hard work, determination and not a little help from the United States, the jews turned that wasteland into prime real estate. It was only after the jews worked the land that arabs showed any interest at all in living there. Many arabs immigrated to Israel and were welcomed and given full citizenship.

As it became plain that Israel was to become a major power in the middle east, their Islamic neighbors decided to exterminate them. In an incredible betrayel, the arab citizens of Israel fled, hoping to take jewish land and possessions after they were all murdered. The jews kicked the a**es of the combine muslim armies and pushed into the surrounding area as a DMZ. They offered to return those lands in exchange for a peace treaty and were refused. That refusal continues to this day and technically, Israel is in a state of war with its neighbors. An interesting side note is that Egypt finally DID make peace with Israel. It's leader at the time, Sadot, was murdered for it. That tells you something about where the muslims are coming from.

There are only a handful (like a couple hundred) of the old Israeli arabs left outside Israel. Most have died of old age. So, how come there are millions of arabs in Gaza and the West Bank? Because they have steadily been filtering down there from Jordan and other countries, for no other reason than to make war on Israel. In an incredible act of gall, they claim right of return.

TEL AVIV, Israel -- Cultural differences and leaving family behind can make immigrating to Israel difficult. But more and more Jewish Americans are making Israel their permanent home.

Seeing Jewish people return to Israel is like watching Bible prophecy unfold before your eyes. Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel all speak of the Jewish return to the land.

Re: At a vote in The UN yesterday NZ & 148 other nations voted to divide Jerusalem

27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.

I dont really see how this shows there will be no temple? I read this as the abomination will cause desolation, and not that the mount itself is desolate. I dont understand what youre saying here.
Dan 9:27 is one of the most commonly misunderstood prophetic passages in the Bible. The passage is saying that because of the many abominations (sins) of the religious leaders of the day that the Temple will become desolate. This was fulfilled literally in 70 AD when Titus' Roman troops sacked the temple. But it was fulfilled spiritually the last time Jesus was there.

Jesus gives a long and brutal recitation of the "overspreading of abominations" of the Scribes and Pharisees of His day in Mat 23:13-38. He basically judges and condemns them to Hell. He ends His rebuke of them with this: [SUP]38[/SUP]See! Your house is left to you desolate; [SUP]39 [/SUP]for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ” Jesus is telling them that He (GOD) will never again set foot in their temple or honor their temple and some 40 years later, the temple itself is destroyed (desolate of all people).

The next line in Dan 9:27 tells us that the temple will remain desolate until a specific event, "the consummation of the desolate." The "CONSUMMATION" is the consuming fire of God's wrath. Look to Isa 54 and Gal 4 to find who the "desolate" are. They are the ones without a husband.

Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.”

There is nothing abominable being set up in the temple in Dan 9:27. The Abomination of Desolation is found in Dan 11:31 and 12:11.

Re: At a vote in The UN yesterday NZ & 148 other nations voted to divide Jerusalem

Merry Christmas:

Zachariah 2:6 KJV

1I lifted up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand. 2Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof. 3And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him, 4And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein: 5For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.
6Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD. 7Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon. 8For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. 9For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me. 10Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD. 11And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee. 12And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.

Good for those who voted against it and I love Stralia for sure, but to abstain is a vote....there is no proverbial fence to straddle....the land will be divided temporarily for gain, but it will not stand, because it belong to Yeshua and as the Lion of Judah...He will not allow it to stand!

Re: At a vote in The UN yesterday NZ & 148 other nations voted to divide Jerusalem

Mark Rittenhouse

Recap of everything that's happened since the UN decision and Obama betraying Israel..Israel is moving forward with building their settlements in which will probably start the psalms 83 war and Jerusalem will for sure be encamped round about it by armies...the UN officially gave east Jerusalem to the Palestines including the wailing wall which will most likely start violence within the city...and then today Obama called 70 countries to the table in Paris on Jan 15, 2017 for the division of God's land Israel (covenant with many?), Israel and Palestine will not attend this meeting like earlier this year...time for everyone to wake up to the hour we live in.....if they follow through with this, judgement will come for sure...it is all prophecies of the BIBLE....and its happening right before our eyes...see scriptures below...war will come from all this and nations will be destroyed...the Bible does not lie! God does not lie!
And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. In that day, saith the Lord , I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness. And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the Lord of hosts their God. In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem. The Lord also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah. In that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the Lord before them. And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Re: At a vote in The UN yesterday NZ & 148 other nations voted to divide Jerusalem

Why worry?

The UN has done mostly..... nothing. They are united words but not actions.

Remember what the LORD did for Israel back in '67.

The last time I looked, God is still God, unchangable, unstoppable, & unbeatable.:)
