Most voters can be classified as "low information voters." Very few Americans read scholarly non-fiction and government reports in a consistent manner outside of whatever is still retained in the rapidly declining liberal controlled public education system.
Studies show that these low information voters primarily rely on how a candidate "looks" to them in order to cast their vote. Example: Bases of political judgments: The role of stereotypic and nonstereotypic information - Springer
Understand that the information exists, of course, just not in the minds of low information voters. Why? They never bother to obtain the information and even if they did they don't have the epistemological competency to properly qualify, understand, and act on it. Why? Because they never bothered to obtain that either.
Most of these uninformed incompetent voters (who falsely assert they are informed when polled indicating they live in a state of deep denial also) walk in the voting booth and punch holes in a ballot for people who looked cool to them on television or if they have no visual (such as for local candidates) then they weigh the names of candidates they know nothing about and choose the one that sounds coolest to them. Many poor candidate choices get elected and ballot propositions passed this way all over the nation every voting cycle.
Obama's ascendency to president is a perfect example of how low information voter behavior (fueled by a PC media frenzy) drives poor candidate choices and policies into government office and legislation. From a pool more of than 242 million adult Americans; low information voters chose an immoral, inexperienced, person with an anti-American background and worldview to "lead" them.
No my friend, these books are for the few that actually read them. The vast majority of American voters do not read political books by political analysts, scholarly publications and journals, and government reports in their spare time.
There is more I would like to say but I would be digressing. WORLDSTAR! Lol.

The book will be a boat-rocker if.
1. The information in it is shocking.
2. Its thesis can be delivered in plausible soundbites people connect to.
3. Everyone and his mom spreads the information. Not just conservative.
If these things do happen, people it will be incorporated in Republican messaging. If they do not happen, it will just be another book like Edward Klein's The Amateur-A brilliant indictment of Obama that will be a book long forgotten.
