Here is my logic in voting for Trump and I am sad I have to apply it. Alas, I have a pesky instinct for survival.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most opporessive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. They robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for ou own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

It's not straw unless you can come up with a worse trait (incessant liar) for presidency that you can pin on Trump.
I doubt you can, but I'm all ears.
I done told you they're equally bad. I don't know what else to say.

That was CS Lewis. My apologies for the lack of quote citation. And the omission of the letter "r" in "our"

I don't disagree with you on her, but I'm having serious doubts about him.

I don't want any of them and I'm praying for a miracle.
If you haven't gone back and listened to what trump has been saying since the late eighties you don't have all the info to form and informed decision.

Problem is that I believe that he is a left wing liberal in a GOP outfit.

Many people do. Go listen to some old interviews of him that aren't spliced together by the msm and get back to me.

I view him as a superficial, cultural liberal. Like many superficial, cultural liberals he accepted a patchwork of politically correct views in the 80's and 90's, but balked in the 2000's when political correctness and America-hatred has reached critical mass.

Much of the nation had the same experience (now reliable Republicans, many conservatives) and they like him because he shares their story.

The biggest argument isn't who the lesser evil is, I think almost every single poster I've read on here assumes Trump is the lesser evil. The biggest argument is, "Is voting for the lesser evil the best approach that reflects biblical council?" Some say yes, some say no. This might make a great thread topic, but I suppose it wouldn't be made in the news forum.

I think it fits the general subject matter well-enough. I'd like to see how newsforum goers answer, personally.

I thought so too. Perhaps I'll make the thread after I'm able to stop thinking about the Dallas shootings. :(

It's one or the other.
I understand your point here, but I disagree. It's not one or the other. It's only one or the other if your sole objective is to oppose the other major party. But this is, again, a rather poor reason for giving a positive vote for someone for the simple fact that a positive vote for one person is not a negative vote for someone else, though it may function that way in some quasi manner in a two party dominated system. But in fact, a vote for DT is not a negative vote for HC; it's a positive vote for DT and all the policies he enacts and all the actions he takes or doesn't take. That functions completely different from a negative vote.

Are you saying vote for Hillary because at least we know what a bad Prez she will be?
This isn't the topic at hand, but no, I'm not saying to vote Hillary either. I think they both will be bad, and a vote for the lesser of two evils is still a vote for evil (to use the metaphor).

Both candidates are low on gas and there ain't no filling station anywhere near. Seriously, they might should realize, by now, that folks don't want any of them. Either way, the one getting to become president, will wind up being the scapegoat for everything going wrong, and believe me, there will be plenty.

So some of you say Trump is a liberal but pretending to be a conservative? Lets say Trump was a liberal at one point in his life and later on he was saved. His views could have changed, which they should have, and hence the reason for his conservative views. This seems pretty typical of someone coming to Christ. Why is it so hard to believe he has had a change on some of his older views when he wasn't saved?

Again the only hope the Hillary folks have is to drag Trump down into the mud with Hillary ..make it sound like they are both the same ... WRONG Hillary is a criminal...Trump is a great American

I'm back, thanks for your patience.

Trump has made very clear..he values the unborn and will appoint prolife judges? How do you compare that to bloody Hillary?
Firstly, Trump partially values the unborn in that he allows for the exceptions and I can't comment on what judges he will appoint since I don't know who they are.
Secondly, I was not comparing, I was adding. I figured in order to get Trumpists to understand that not all the people not voting for Trump are for Hillary, that I would add facts on Hillary in the same area.

That said I am impressed with Trumps statement on the Dallas, TX ambush.
