As my point was that it takes more than a willingness to just die, and that the military should have the right to pick and choose the people they think are best to achieve victory.

Yes, but you're not fit if you don't know what military service is really about. And I'm not saying it is all about willingness to die, but if a soldier/sailor isn't at peace with the possibility, that person most likely wont handle the pressure when the going gets tough.

I agree.
But being transgender is considered a disorder, and you are not aloud to join the military with a disorder.

That's like saying a bipolar or depressed person can't be mentally stable in every way but they can still function and be patriotic so hey, why not let them into the military?
They have rules for a reason and those rules aren't there to break for one group of people.

If transgender people don't tell the military they aren't really transgender it won't really matter, and they can serve.

You cannot transgender yourself without degrading your physical strength! Therefore, no boot camp, no training camp, no trust on the battlefield. PC be damned, think about it. No one has ever fought an enemy with moral approval.

I'm kind of on the fence about this one. I appreciate their desire to serve their country but gender dysphoria is a mental illness. I'm not saying this to belittle them or to insult them but it is what it is.

But they want bathroom rights and shower rights and surgery paid for.. they join and swear to serve the country.. the country not complain because a certain restroom no longer suits them.. the military has more important things to do

If they really want to serve then they can not mention that they are transgender and go on their merry way.
