Jerry Falwell Jr. of Liberty University endorses Trump. Honestly, and get angry if you want, but Evangelicals who are supporting Trump and intend to vote for Trump should spend some time in sincere prayer, and revisit the Gospel of Christ prior to doing so.

That is my opinion. And we all know what opinions are worth right? This kind of thing reveals how some believer are quite willing to "check their Faith at the door" when they enter the voting booth.

Would Jesus do that?
I'm mixed about Jerry Jr. That Liberty University has grown under his watch is without question. It has become a well-respected school in many ways.

But not without some selling out.

I could stomach the endorsement were it not coupled adulation. Trump is certainly like Jerry Sr. in many ways, but Jerry Sr. was a Christian. Barring a recent, miraculous conversion, Mr. Trump is not a Christian or a model of Christian behavior.

.......and that is what troubles me so much when I see professing Christians supporting him........

I honestly believe that as a nation we are at a crossroads in our history. When three (I lean towards four) of the top four candidates (two Dems and two Repubs) would sell their sole to Satan to become President of the United States, we are no longer "one nation under God". IMHO, we have become a nation of "something for nothings" and "It's mine and I don't care what anyone else needs" ?citizens. What I have seen in the MSM, and on CC, only confirms my opinion.

Two scriptures come to mind.

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

I find it impossible to believe that supporting any of these candidates is serving the Lord, and I know that until we, as the children of God, humble ourselves and seek God, we are destined as a nation to fail.

I mean, it would be one thing if he were running against Mitch McConnell, John McCain, and Jeb Bush in the primary. He isn't. We actually have decent alternatives.
