God's grace involves tough love !!!

Not everything we hear in the Word of God is going to be things we want to hear, as take the book of James for instance. If any Christian can read that book without feeling convicted I would ask them if they have actually been born again, because his epistle is about making us look at our actions to see if we are in the faith.
Tough love is called "hate" by some

Tough love is called "hate" by some
That again depends on how it is implemented because there is a proper way to administer tough love, as tough love does not mean belittling and demeaning a person is a part of it.

Paul showed tough love to a number of believers in his epistles without belittling, demeaning, or degrading them.....

I feel belittled and degraded by the implication that I have belittled and degraded you.

We are not talking about Paul..we are talking about the folks that want to call tough love ..hate Like liberals who say its hate to say homosexuality is sin.

Come on now Sirk when did I ever say this about you ???

Unless you are talking about months ago when you as well as 3 to 4 others were attacking me that day? If that is what you are referring to then what was being done then to me by you and others was uncalled for, but if we are speaking here recently then no that has not been said !!!

I am talking about how we are to administer tough love when it is needed, as we are to do it in the same way as Paul did.

When I see some of these video's of preachers speaking to homosexual's I can understand why they take it as hatred, as these guy's in most cases are yelling at and belittling and degrading these people.

This is why I said it all comes down to how it is implemented, because I have preached to a few homosexuals in my life and not once have I been accused of hate speech by the way I approached them to give God's word.

I was just ribbing you Kenneth. I really do like your zeal. It's okay to let others have their say tho....don't forget that man. Everyone has a voice and sometimes the best way to the sacred ground of another persons personhood is thru letting them have their say. That's my perspective.

Well that was the point made to already ...who decides what is hate speech? Liberals who think hate speech is warning people about sin? That's the discussion in context of our political situation ...

The problem with the current definition of hate speech is that..... it is whatever makes another uncomfortable. Now if that aint a slippery slope of nonsense I don't know what is.

Yup...and they want to use any view that puts the God of the bible in the sovereign seat as a pretext to disarm them, us, me and you.

yes I agree, but me, I will in a nonviolet way, and not be triger happy or hate or kill by sword.

but this is just one of hundreds of ways this country is going to explode and crumble from within,
then the real enemy, will have no problem to come in and destroy us, and drag away captives.

then it would be to late to talk about it,
or we can go talk about other news here, like Bill Cosby being charged
The real enemy has always been here and has been dragging people captive for generations.

Still, how does it escape the charge of giving special or preferential treatment to one religious group since it specifically mentions Muslims. Why not drop any group's name and include all law abiding religious faiths?
because it says:

  • Whereas the rise of hateful and anti-Muslim speech, violence, and cultural ignorance plays into the false narrative spread by terrorist groups of Western hatred of Islam, and can encourage certain individuals to react in extreme and violent ways

giving a reason for why they singled out this group - since, presently, this group is being singled out for discrimination

and in points (2), (5) and (7) specifically declares that protections under the constitution extend to all religious groups.

remember -- the thread title is a blatant lie. this is not a law at all and much less is it in any way shape or form implementation of sharia; it is a statement in reaction to current political climate. current secular political climate is very anti-Muslim. they are only being relevant, that's all.

You see I dislike the whole usage of titles though, like liberals this, or conservatives that, democrats this, or republicans that....

These titles and lies both sides spew through our media sources keeps this country divided...........

I have talked to a number of liberals who do not agree with all the things that they try to say all liberals agree with, and the reverse can be said back as well as I have talked to a number of conservatives that don't agree with all that conservatives are suppose to agree with.

Gun control (banning) for instance I have talked to Republicans that actually agree with it, and I know Democrats that are completely against any form of gun control.

This is why I always speak up when I see all people in a group or nationality trying to be put under the same category.

You can't cook two different dishes in the same pot. Mainstream Christianity is not a violent religion nor does it call for violence against people who don't follow it. Mainstream Islam calls for the destruction of those will not bend their knee to it and kiss its ring.

Well Im sure you can understand what I mean by the term? and my point about liberals trying to restrict honest speech is very true.
