I wouldn't be surprised if Trump said "I think I'd get along very well with Hitler."

Lol this comment reminds me of something I quietly laugh about to myself. It's just kinda the irony between you, me, and sir Bushido and our political ideologies. You (Desdichado) are the conservative and you'd think the conservative be the one that's married, yet you're the big ladies man lolz. Bushido is the leftist, which one would think mean he's the big playa, and yet he's the married guy. Then I'm the monarchist, which one would think means I'd be both married and have a massive harem like Xerxes or Solomon, and yet I'm the 27 year old virgin. Lolz oh I love how ironic our Millennial generation is.

Anyways sorry for the digression, you can get back to Hitler stuff now.

Gay like in "gay" or gay like in "gay"?
Hitler was a homosexual and the Nazi Party started by a gay political group in a gay bar. Do some research several books have been written recently that proves what im saying.

This is a sad reflection on the ability not to question the quotes and the source.

This also illustrates no one is quite sure what Trump stands for. Is he just a pragmatist playing games to get elected?
It will be interesting if he ever draws up a list of policies he actually supports and could possibly become law, because that is always the real test.

Obama tried gun control, failed, tried to close Guantanmo, failed, managed to get health care reform, got Osama.

Now the budget problems are so so so so so deep you know you need a strong man to help dig the situation out, before it is too late, though we may already be there. It is why Maggie Thatcher came to power to hit the miners in 1980, because the whole country was a mess and it did turn UK from an almost bankcrupt country into one that worked again.

Is Donald trustworthy? Or is it all a mirage? Who is actually pulling his strings? These are just questions in my mind.
Our household simply does not trust the guy, and that is because of the outflow of his mouth seems to reflect some serious problems in his heart.

What some of you fail to understand is the Republican establishment have through their own backstabbing of the American people ...made Donald Trump. For many of us, if Trump is a complete failure, he would be better than the establishment goons that are without doubt, destroying our country. So compared to the establishment ..Trump always comes out as the more reasonable risk to many if not most Americans

But you couldn't do the same thing with other politicians. Take Ron Paul, Mike Lee, and Ted Cruz. There is no way you could attribute some of those words to any of those men.

Particularly that bit about nature.

I dont know,I saw somewhere that David Duke endorsed another candidate but didn't see who. Anyone know?

Couldn't have said it better. Id rather take my chances with a man who hasn't performed rituals with his underwear on his head to be part of the good Ole boy club.

Oh let's throw in a conspiracy theory shall we? What if Trump being a Democrat decided to switch to Republican to assist Hillary in getting the President slot? Trump did back the Clinton's at one time you know.... So all you Republicans are really backing a Democrat in a backhanded sort of way....lol

Trump does not have the temperament to be President. He will help get this country blown to bits of the atomic variety.... Either he will want to push the button or he will tick off someone else to push the button.... bye, bye world as we know it....

Maybe Blond should have posted this in the conspiracy thread????

I have it on questionable authority that when Hillary and Bill attended his daughters Birthday Party that time, he and they sat down and planned out this whole thing. He was to overpower the Republican Candidates, and get the Nomination, and then, during the General Election, he would fold...........thus assuring Hillary as President.

It appears that this "conspiracy" has legs!!!!

I like how you put it, "reasonable risk". I vote for the person that would do the least amount of damage to myself, and the country. I'm not looking for the government to help me, but rather, not hurt me. Trump is not my first choice for the Republican nominee, but at the moment, seems to be the only choice.

This is the heart (IMO) of classical conservativism. I don't want my government's handouts, I want my government to promote an environment (get out of the way) where I can support myself (even financially excel) via hard work.

When the government removes the rediculous regulatory burden from business that drives our jobs overseas our economy will once again flourish, employment participation rates (which are at their lowest in decades) will improve, and surprisingly with more persons working the situation with our national debt will improve.

To be a pretentious political nerd, I think you are describing a modern manifestation of Classical Liberalism.

Classical Conservatism was more about bolstering monarchy and aristocracy in response to modernism.

How anyone calling themselves "Christian" could support Trump and his principles is an affront to Christ and to everything that Jesus preached and taught us.
Such a sad state of affairs that Trump has won over the evangelical voting base.
What a sad testimony of just how far from Christ-like that so many so-called "Christians" in the U.S. actually are.

Shame on you.

So the principle of a secure border, better trade deals for America, a renegotiating nafta and gatt and so on and so forth is afront to Christ? Should I stop calling myself a Christian since in your mind I am an afront to Christ?

I would like a President that could make all of us proud. We can make that happen on a glad November day in 2020. The 2016 election is done down the drain...but we could be reducing the damage by voting Kasich.

I just want someone to get govt out of the way and we figure out that if we don't govern ourselves we're doomed.

Meanwhile back in Europe the far right is having a revival. The French National front is doing well and in Germany Hitlers ghost is on the move. They are all being fueled by the immigration crises which none of the European governments seem to be able to tackle. Hitler blamed Jews for Germanys problems. This time its the immigrants. Something does need to be done urgently about the situation but voting Nazi is not the answer.
