I think dating in the more romantic sense is what I was asking about. I used to have people I got to spend time with I adored and enjoyed that were not my children lol... for a season..now my season is work and very little play...God has removed all of my male friends... I have only female friends unless you count the husbands of my girlfriends who utterly love me and treat me like a sister which is awesome...but of course, I do not hang out with them! .. :) I am enjoying my time with my sons or grandkids when we get to hang out together.. I play computer games sometimes.. but it's funny .. I always had men to chat with or talk to in the past.... some became really good friends and yet.. this past year.. truly truly no close male friends..or even ones I hang out with..it's odd..our seasons:) ...mine have been like texas weather. always changing but never perfect:)

there is a girl at my church that's gone 15 years waiting... she still desires marriage...and I think has had a few crushes on our church guys that were single but nothing panned out.. I am sorry you haven't had a date.. but I know God has perfect timing! :) hang in there ..!

I think they have them in the "deep discount" bin.

I plan on waiting to shop for a husband until I have a coupon.

Don't know about Wal-Mart but you don't think men actually go grocery shopping to buy groceries do ya?

Churches, Grocery Stores, Malls, and, yes, Laundry Mats..............chick gathering places...........hunters paradise! :)

I saw a man once at wal mart lift up his shirt and scratch his belly OVER the fresh lettuce in the produce department. Um....I think I ordered pizza after that! Lol

I don't think Walmart would be a place to do that. I mean, I hear about it. But normally I go there to goof off with friends or grab something in particular? I mean unless you can attract a strong, Christ based relationship by playing with batman lights, rummaging the 5 dollar bin. Ruefully shaking my head at the video games spending entirely too much time in the Lego/nerf/star wars/ tiny masks section.then if there is time walking across the parking lot to the mocha pets to play with all the little puppies. But at that point I've already conceded that there are no girls who want to do those things or so it would seem.


And to answer the very beginning of the thread, I haven't dated in a couple years now, and the only thing going that Jesus showed me was to be satisfied in Him first. Every attempt has concluded in me trying to lower my standards instead of trying to cut people out based on luggage.... This has only brought me to a place where I admit feelings and am told the big nty. So, as far as I can tell. Jesus is saying love Him first, all other things will come later. And if it's really meant to be, I won't have to try to convince her that I'm what she wants, but rather will be seen as the wonderful child of God that I am. =) so in the meantime I will dance with Jesus, and all the people around me will call me weird because to their eyes I'm dancing alone.

Yeah, some guys at Walmart.........I will pass. However a couple years ago, a good looking police officer just came up and started talking to me. Let's just say I enjoyed it.:eek:

That only happened once. I think the neatest part of it was that I wasn't wearing any makeup so it made me feel more special. Most of the guys that do approach me are old guys and they like to give me a hard time so I give it right back.

I seen the cutest little awkward thing at the grocery store today. She was bumbling nervous kinda stuttering awkward but she was a trooper and stayed committed to the conversation. Lol, awkwardness isnt a deal breaker at all.
