Without getting overly involved in this conversation, I'd like to say that this doesn't sound right to me either. But neither does the fact that my King died to save me. I didn't deserve that at all. I was completely unworthy, completely worthless and yet... he saved me.
It seems to me that God hands us things we don't deserve on a regular basis.
Jesus died for us to save us from eternal damnation and eternal separation from God. This standard of finding a "perfect mate" (a.k.a. super christian) or no mate at all is what's unsettling to me.

God blesses us everyday with far more than we ever expected. At least He has in my life: love, friends, opportunities, a piano, a dog, and even a Dr Pepper, straight from the hand of a loving God to Whom ALL of His children matter. We haven't been PROMISED someone special (not perfect), but I don't think we should be surprised if they show up. :)

The thing is that I don't think anyone here is looking for "super christian" because outside of Christ himself there is no such thing. I would say that MOST of us are looking for a christian that is well grounded in their faith, actively walking the walk, and striving to become more like Christ. I would say that anyone who is looking for "super christian" is going to be quite disappointed when they finally discover that we're all human.

Also, just for the record, I don't particularly think that God only has "One" person in mind that would be a good match for each of us. However, I do know that He will guide us on our life's path if we let Him. I have seen Him work through the little things, so I have no reason to believe that He won't do the same for the "big" things. It's not like it's difficult for Him.....He is God, after all ;)

I don't expect a "perfect" guy, because I'm not a perfect girl. I don't "expect" anything.......I just don't want to get ahead of God, and go my own way. His ways are perfect. Mine? Not so much.
