I am not able to get why foot/feet massaged is being considered an issue at all? Personally, I dont see any problem in giving a family member/relatives or friends a feet or back massage IF they are in need of it (like medical condition) and vice versa. I would do it (be it foot or back) to help ease the pain the person might be going through (like in medical condition) otherwise I am too lazy to want to give massage just like that.

Feet stink. Thats what....lol....i GUESS if they scrubbed them like there's no tomorrow, rid themselves of any calluses, plantars warts and the like, purchased rubber gloves for me AND had a medical condition that warranted the foot rub....oh, and don't have hands to do it themselves. THEN i might do it. But i wouldn't like it

Back massages are more normal and easier to do. I wouldn't have anything against massaging my future girlfriend's feet though. Obviously not early on, like the first date. You have to really know the person to do something so intimate.

I might suggest that a back rub on the first date would be a little weird also. Lol

I would do it. I'm a natural at giving massages, so my wife will probably be asking me for them all the time anyways haha. I once put a girlfriend to sleep massaging her neck with one hand.

Another thing i would like to do when married is the foot washing ritual. I did this as a teen at a Chrysalis retreat (a Christian weekend for teens), and it was humbling and as odd as it sounds, it was kind of a powerful action. So to show my wife respect and to honor her and show her humility, even as the 'leader', i would like to do this from time to time.

I love foot massages. I used to date a guy that was absolutely amazing at them and would give me one almost every day. My current bf loves my feet and is pretty decent at them. When he moved back home, he sent me a massager thing so I could still get a foot massge even though he's not here to do it for me. (Isn't he the sweetest ever????)

I've never had my feet massaged, and really don't want them to be. If I were to get married, and my wife enjoyed it, then sure I could give her a massage for the sole reason of making her feel better. Her feet would have to be clean though.

I agree that some people do have feet that stinks but not all people are like that. In any case, I was thinking/speaking more along the line of a clean normal looking feet which are non-smelly (not those lesions/pus filled or unclean feet). The medical condition I mention is more to do with footache/numbness or sprained sort of pain that gets relief after massage with an ointment. That being said, I have no gross feeling towards a clean looking non-smelly feet and I would do it willingly again (as I have done it before) under said medical condition. I just didn't know that feet massage was an issue at all (at least where I come from, it wasn't), so the confusion. But as they say, "each to his/her own"

What I was saying is that after the day is done (when you get home), one can always take a shower (washing their feet), and put a FRESH set of socks on before receiving said message.

And if it STILL freaks you out, then just go for the automated ones...

My main point is...people are people. Life is life. There are smells. There are gross things. There are all sorts of stuff!

...but loving someone means facing everything...and whatever you decided on/compromise on/work through...always caring about one another enough to stay together over every other option.
