I'm kind of fond of the 80's, I kind of wish I would have been able to grow up in the 80's. My older sister is quite a bit older and she got to grow up in the 80's, so I learned all about it from her... and I just think it seems so cool. The music, the hair, the clothes. It was like really crazy but really cool to me.

Oh, I also think the 30's-40's would be cool, the whole big band era and swing dancing. Things seemed a bit classier in that era as well.

What if...I'm in the wrong century? I would have liked living in the 1800's. Except that I wouldn't have been allowed to mouth off the way I get away with now. Hmm.

Let's go with...the 20's, 40's, and 60's.

Hmm, for me in my old partying days I'd have to say the Roaring 20's. For me in my old witchcraft days, being in Salem would have been cool.

But for who I am now, I love technology, so I'm rather fond of the time I'm in. :D

Awesome thread!
I have a few, I'll share them and why:
1920s - Charlie Chaplin, The Charleston dance, and a lot of the music just seems to appeal to me.
1950s - Cars, music, lifestyle (things like hanging out at the ice cream parlor with friends).
1980s - Was in high school. Rubik's cubes, big hair bands, "Skate or Die", Nintendo, roller skating rinks and all-night skates, etc...
That is about it other than certain other time periods before the 1900s that I find interesting.

The 70's was the best. 80's was a close second. I remember in the 70's how nice people were to each other. It was so easy to make friends back then. Families still ate dinner together, moms still cooked every night and stayed home to raise the kids. Kids played outside and got lots of exercise and vitamin D from being in the sun and people interacted with each other face to face or through handwritten letters.

But were not those all constructs of the 70's, merely depicting the 50's through a lens of sorts? <-this smiley has on his lenses, but it's supposed to be one red & one blue ;)

Right up until it was at-the-steak hot. ;)

I'm gonna hafta go with the Next decade... by then there will be a different set of turmoil in my life, if not less.

Loved the 70's because that's when I first saw Star Wars & it changed my life forever. Also I remember having awesome toys, like Shogun Warriors & Micronauts & the most awesome electric race car tracks by Aurora...plus Christmas was so awesome when I was little & making christmas cookies & decorating the tree my Mom was everything.
The 80's were pretty cool for me too,it's when I started drumming, discovered true heavy metal like Loudness,Savatage,Metal Church,Exciter,Destruction & weened myself of of Motley Crue & Quiet Riot....of course having long hair & going to the mall to get my ear pierced for the 1st time was a big deal too.
The end of the 80's things started getting not so cool..I re-dedicated my life to Christ, but living on my own ,full time work,bands...church...the "fun" in life started to slowly go away...now I had to be responsible. lol

Depends! Fashion-wise I LOVE the 50's & 60's and it's a heavy influence in my artwork. Movie-wise it's the 80's & 90's, because I love all the campy nightmares that came out of that decade and when film was creative with its effects and animations weren't all CGI. Music-wise I'd say the 90's. I loved depressing alternative rock. 2000's, although gave rise to the internets and ipods, can bite me.

I didn't know you were a drummer! :D I started drumming in the 80's too. :D Was into heavy metal also, although back then heavy metal was a different sound than what they call heavy metal now. I drummed to motley crue too and van halen, rush, zeppelin, etc..

I would have to go with the 1800's as MissCris did. I just like the clothes they wore
and the way they treated a lady like a lady.

I think the roarin' 20's would have been fun. Feathers in the hair, fun dancing (not that I know how) and snazzy music. :D

At church the other night, I was told that I looked like I could be an "old English lady" (not to be confused with old, English lady :p ) because of my fair skin, rosy cheeks, curly hair, and the necklace I was wearing (it was lace and pearls). That could be fun too, though I don't think I'd be very fond of corsets or those huge neck collar things.

I'm with DuchessAimee though, I like my technology and AC. :p However, I think it'd be awesome to visit/live in each decade for a couple of days, as well as live in different cultures during different time periods.

Yes indeed. See you have to read my "about me" lol I guess guys don't look at other guys profiles on CC,cause yer' only here for the women & it's uncool to look down at yer' page & see the last 8 of the last 10 people to view yer' profile were men. LOL Yes,metal sure evolved...I loved Crue & Quiet Riot,Twisted Sister...but once I discovered heavier stuff there was no looking back.

me personally I liked the 90s. I had money then.

Course I would have survived well I think in the late 1800's 1880s 1890s.
