Computer geek is not an occupation.

How you see yourself matters a lot Dothack. Why not say, "Oh hi I work for a medical company as a programmer. We are currently designing a system that helps disabled people walk". What girl would not like that?

I'm an engineer, and I don't just sit there and program video games, I create designs that help people in the real world and am very proud of the company I work for. I guess I could be considered a geek, but I don't really fit any stereotypical profile.

I would answer yes. I've personally been attracted to guys who are technically savvy. :) My last bf was a former Marine who didn't know anything about computers though... It just goes to say that there are all types of women who would like different types of guys. If God leads you to meet a woman, that won't matter anyway. I've known women who are not attracted to a certain type of guy AT FIRST, but then they marry someone who they wouldn't originally have guessed as a match for themselves.

Umm... I was too lazy to read all of the pages but I did see that someone said not to let those "geek" things consume your life. I agree. However, I've clocked MANY hours in various RPG's and feel no remorse whatsoever. ;) Just make sure your priorities are straight. So, yes. Some girls totally dig the geeks of the world.

Now the question is, do guys like gaming girls? Huh? Huh? XP

Not as actively right now. Chasing a one year old leaves little time for gaming but yes, at one point not long ago I would have considered myself a gamer. ^_^

When younger, way younger, I played this TI game called 'Tunnels of Doom,' it was soooo cooll, the coolest!

You went through rooms at differennt levels and killed monsters, got potions, avoided traps....and it was all done with characters with 4-bit graphics (stick figures, pretty much) but there was COLOR at least !

I was a gamer growing up too, played Intellivision, Atari, Colecovision, had TONS of game, which I wish I'd kept cuz hear there collector items now :(
I was a game-maker growing up too, I made dungeons for friends to go through, developed monsters, made traps.
But I am not real computer geeky per say, although I do work with computers in raw form and my business includes daily writing out things on computers.
I think, these days, most guys are, to some extent, computer literate, you almost have to be, because THAT is the world God has us living in now :)

I think guys that are computer geeks, in today's society, whether it's IT specialist or just able to make money using the 'net in some capacity are very coveted by girls, geek or no geek, they got the cash :D

I think the word geek should be abolished, people should be able to enjoy things like computers without the word geek defining them. They (me too) are just people who are techy. No geek necessary lol.

By the worlds admission i am also by that theory a computer geek, jesus geek, sporty geek and the list could go on.

but to answer the question, people who like computers, its not about them liking computers and stuff, as long as they have a good personality and dont define themselves like that.
