[Ugly]

So i just watched this video on youtube that was rather sad. These guys rented a Lamborghini and approached random women on the street. One was walking with her boyfriend. The guy with the car said he just wanted to 'drive her around the block'. She agreed, even as her boyfriend got mad and walked off. She ditched her boyfriend to get into an expensive car with a stranger.
Next woman walking alone, he offers to drive her where she wants, and she gets in his car.
Next woman he approaches says she doesn't speak english very well and made it clear she wanted away from him, until he pointed out his car. Suddenly she was willing to hop into his car and had no trouble speaking english.

What a sad state this world is in that a woman will abandon her safety and/or boyfriend and self respect because someone says they have an expensive car.

Just goes to show you that when people see something/ someone they want, they sacrifice anything (even their lives) to get it. All their common sense goes out the window. A friend of mine used to get into guys cars (she knew them, but still..) just to go cruisin' around.. I always refused to go with her because I was always taught to never get into the car of someone I don't know.. Sadly, she has been raped more than once doing that..:/

I wonder what my ford windstar minivan says to women... Maybe that's why I'm still single? Maybe that's why I have always had an instinctive aversion to cars like that... maybe it's an automatic self-preservation skill.

Another physical issue...

My right hand has been bothering me a few weeks. Past 2 days its gotten much worse. Very swollen and red. Had a clinic visit today for my usual check up and doc there wouldn't even attempt to do anything so he is sending me to an orthopedic specialist tomorrow afternoon. I already have an appointment with the vascular specialist tomorrow morning to check on the arm phlebitis. So please pray nothing serious with my hand. Its very painful, even to touch. A soft blanket rubbed against it and it hurt. Have almost no use of my right hand because the pain it causes. Typing with one hand now. Thanks.

Dear Father,

we pray that you heal Ugly's hand, and whatever the issue is Lord, please reveal it to him and to not be of serious nature. We trust you Lord and we thank you for your grace in earlier situations as well. Please give him relief from the pain.

You will never leave us nor forsake us so give him peace that You are in control.

In your name i pray Jesus. Amen.

There must be a God who knows more than we do why your hand becomes immovable now. Prayer can help but your trust in the LORD is the most effective one. Sometimes he allows us to be in pain to keep us closer to him and be humble.

May you feel God's presence not from the pain, but from the very HEART!

this is big........it will be a year since the accident....come november......cant believe its been that long......
Well im over it.......so I took my cane and went in to ask if I could come back to work......my
manager said if the company said I can work with my cane....then hes all for it.....
Well......I will find out in the next couple days......I want my life back.....this having nothing to do
and not pulling my weight....It makes me uneasy.....in my whole life...I have worked and taken
care of people.....always self sufficient.....well ....I learned my lesson ...I am able to allow someone
to help me...take care of me.....it took all the pride and has humbled me....thank you Father God...

You do realize that this comes across as implying that wanting to be healed from chronic physical ailments and pain makes Ugly somehow unspiritual, right? I'd like to think your heart is in the right place, but this comes across as more corrective than supportive. It would have been much better just to say, "May God's all sufficient grace be with you during this time so that his power may be displayed through your current difficulties."

And Ugly, still praying that you will be restored to abnormally good health.

I spent most of the morning at work thinking rather negative thoughts about a certain manager, but I think I'm over it now. This manager is one of the ones you know is going to get fired eventually, but I'm finding myself wondering how long, o Lord, how long? Hmm... Maybe I'm not over it after all.

Dear cinder, was Paul the very spiritual person was allowed by God to be given difficulty, not spiritual at that time? Cinder, you would like to think that my heart is right because it was asking for healing and i come across correcting? Ugly was the subject and not me? And about correcting,

Do you realize your statement come across correcting:

Then who is correcting who? Your view of my reply is more corrective than supportive, then you would like to think my heart is right. If you really want to give me the benefit of the doubt then why instead of giving me private message, you rather being supportive by putting your views here in public? And if in case my heart is not right or have offense someone, shouldn't be the approach is like below:

Now, i don't know you personally and I don't even think we even communicate through threads. The one I saw as corrective in my statement was about the purpose. Because I know how ugly repilied bluntly to a post like asking, "what's your purpose?" Shouldn't we be more appreciative than being sarcastic? And not asking the motivation of a person? God weighs the motivation of a person because HE is the only knows our very heart. If there is a question, we rather go to that person alone. Private Messaging is very useful for that matter.

I never thought Paul as a very hero of faith was not spiritual. It simply a matter of reminder. Have you read Jogoldie's letter? We all have weaknesses, whether physical or spiritual, what matters most is how we respond.

I'm sorry if i come across corrective. Yet, I will understand where you are coming from if you PM me. I don't know how close you are with ugly. I just hope no favoritism here.
