Also, grief makes you think and feel crazy things. Like...wow. Yikes. Eek. I'm going to try and do stuff this week and be with people.
The good thing is I'll be seeing a movie on Thursday (the anniversary) and we'll be going out to eat afterward. So that's a thing. But for those who have my number, feel free to bug me this week and ask me how I'm doing. I give you permission. If I don't answer, try not to be too concerned, I'm not the greatest at answering. But I will try to be good at answering back this week. I don't want anyone to freak out over me.

My parents never gave me the talk, all my mum said was, "If you come home pregnant one day, we're kicking you out".
Unfortunately, I learnt about the birds and the bees from what teenage boys said, and these teenage boys got their information from hours of porn. I started off with a very messed up view of the birds and the bees, and about my identity as a girl becoming a woman.
If only my parents told me.

Birds and the bees, huh? I don't think I ever got it either, but I was the one to give it to my younger sisters because I knew my parents wouldn't. Soooo wish they had. In the culture I grew up in, sex is a very taboo subject, but I don't think it should be. Obviously God created it and it's a wonderful thing within the right context. Without that context or the proper knowledge though, one's role in sexual intimacy can be vastly misunderstood.

This thread is catching up to us awfully fast in terms of post count─2.5 months and already over 1,000 pages!
I never had The Talk either , but I must have learned of it somehow, maybe there were many minor talks? I don't remember really
To make things really easy, work on a farm for a few months as a family =D!
... You can explain the differences to them as needed ...
