I realized today that my philosophy on life when it comes to conversations about hot-button topics is "Let's have a relationship first, then a conversation." This is why I don't hardly ever get into Facebook (or forum) debates anymore.

I didn't know you did ballet, that's cool! I did ballet and jazz dance in high school and a little after that too. It was a lot of fun! Hopefully I'll get back in it soon.

Have you done pointe work or are you going to? I never have, but it would be awesome to learn.
Oh, do it!! :) Dance is so awesome!

Pointe work? no. I like my feet far too much for that. I have really cute feet. ;) It's true, but though I think En pointe is beautiful to watch, I don't think my feet could stand the pressure. I do have a really lovely curve though... sigh.

How do you do that - have a relationship first and a conversation later?

*perks up at the mention of "hot-button topics"*

relationship first, then a conversation?

so... how does a person come to that agreement w/o a conversation?

wat?

hehe jk. i'm think you're referring to the "middle schoolers" relationships? "you're cute. i like you w/o knowing a single thing about you. let's date."

1 week later.

break up.

This kid at work sits about 10 feet from my desk during lunch and chews with his mouth open.

*nomnomnom*
*schmackschmackshcmack*

Another spoonful.

*sluuuurp*
*chompchompchomp*
*schmackschmackschmack*

Oh wait, he's going to the kitchen...

*shuffle shuffle shuffle - shuffles back to chair*
*sits...farts*
*sluuuurp*

I want to liquefy his meals and give him a straw.

Just got home from the movies..

Watched Le Petit Prince... what a beautiful movie!! So much love, and beauty, and tenderness in every little piece of it...

I cried so much I almost dehydrated... It's so touching... It's a poetry made visual... Absolutely beautiful!! *.*

I'm thinking more like "Don't try to argue with me about this controversial topic when you don't really even know me".

ChandlerFan, I feel that way about evangelism. It should be highly relational. I think it's often more damaging to go into a place without having loved or gotten to know it's people, and tell them what they need to be doing.

Reminds me of a Steve Camp song. "Don't tell them Jesus loves them (till you're ready to love them too)"

This Sunday, I'm making lunch for eight people. All because my brother's wife bought him a gun for his birthday.

So now, my brother and his wife, and my husband's boss and HIS wife are going to come out here, with their guns, and my husband is going to take them all out to a place near here where they can shoot their guns for fun. For practice, I mean. Both. Whatever.

The point is, I always get all anxious about being around that many people, more so since they're coming here. Like a personal space invasion. They'll even be armed. But I'm thinking, if I make this a potluck and not something I have to try and pick something for, and if I can refrain from making fun of them all for being hillbillies...it'll be good.

The bird had been flying around in the entry way, scared, and that's why it flew into my head. I pulled it out of my hair, and set it outside.

...wasn't that anticlimactic, after the autocorrect fiasco? :p
Yes, it was a little anticlimatic, but at least you finished the story. Unlike some people. :) I still think you should've given someone the bird though. Haha! Bless you, dear sister.
