I think it's in the bible somewhere. Arlene won't be of any help, unless she disregards scripture. :D
Oh, is it something of biblical creation import? As in, is it found in the early chapters of Genesis? :p

Isn't it I will have worn? and No I won't have war if the choice is up to me but war is preferable to subjugation.

Forgive because you are commanded to and because carrying all that crap around isn't worth it ( that does not equate to pretend it never happened or say that it was not wrong). I think you are actually making great steps toward forgiveness already.

But what I really wanted to say is remorse does not equal life change. I have a tendency to let hurting people get away with more (like a one sided friendship not like abusing me or stealing from me or anything quite so destructive) because I know they are hurting and just acting out of their hurt and quite possibly doing the best they can, but if his best isn't going to be good enough, you need to be able to recognize it, say so, and stay out of the bad situation you left.

Knowing that our God is in the reconciliation business, it is my prayer and hope that your man will get his life turned around and you will all end up as a happy and godly family who can bring the same freedom to others.
Oh I was just making fun of movies. To be more dramatic it seems like they like to say 'wore' in a scaly voice (kind like if one was trying to clear ones throat), instead of war.

A chapter and verse is never necessary, as long as you say that it's in the bible somewhere. :p

Seriously though, I hope you and Pipp (waves at Pipp) both had awesome birthdays.

Really? I've always pictured you as a dark-hair tall suave musician- lover not fighter type guy. Not marine corps. I have no clue what you look like, but that's how I imagine you.

Awesome day. This morning, I was praying in the shower, and said, "Papa, I'm going to be co-labouring with you today. Today is not going to be about me going in to my workplace, today is about me taking Your hand, and representing you and doing Your will and to do Your work."

Later, in my car (my favourite secret place) I asked the Holy Spirit to go forth and soften the hearts of the women in my work place so I could intentionally step out in boldness and minister to them. I got to work before anyone else was there, and went about getting ready, singing praise and worship songs at the top of my lungs. I just knew, today was going to be special.

Lately, I have been really encouraged by the softness the women have been showing and I just knew that God was working on them, these women were shifting and changing before me. Most of all, they don't know it, but they were responding to God's love and doing things completely out of their character.

Then today, my assistant complained of a bad reaction/swelling taking place on her face. Her face was slightly puffed and red, although she caked on lots of make up to cover it up. As we sat there, I knew this was an open door God placed before me. I asked her if she wanted me to pray for her for healing.

Now I've offered to pray for her before, and that situation got slightly awkward, but this time, she was actually genuinely excited. She quickly exclaimed, "Yes please!" and ushered me to come to her. We began giggling like school girls as I sat in front of her, and she chuckled as she stated she didn't know what to do. I laughed louder, and admitted, I was 100% sure what I was doing either. All I knew was, I wanted her to meet my King and come to know Him.

I laid hands on her and prayed. As this was taking place, my Kindergarten children were watching in complete silence. When I finished, my assistant looked at me with a huge smile. In a perky tone, she said as I prayed, she felt this peace come over her. This is coming from a girl who has never ever been exposed to Christian lingo in her life, nor has any understanding of what she is meant to feel or experience! Another time she used that same word, 'peace' to describe my countenance and my life. She couldn't quite touch her finger on it, but I knew she was trying to make sense of the fact that there is actually One in me, revealing Himself to her through me.

Now, the field has been ploughed, seeds are being sown and the watering is just beginning to take place. I am so, so, so excited for the day I get to see the harvest take place in my very own workplace. Oh, I can't want until these women meet the Prince of Peace for themselves, and encounter Jesus in a way that never leaves them the same!

To blitz thread with 80 stupid posts and steal the 20,000th post or not to do so. That is the question.

I think I need to get a life.

The activity on my profile is so confusing to look at when tinman and arlene reply to threads at the same time. ;)

I second this! I just read Arelene's beautiful testimony in the last page, thinking it was Tintins, and then got confused when the comment below it looked like it was from the same person, but..... it wasn't! Think I need another coffee!

I'm sorry that this widely accepted 'misinterpretation' doesn't suit your lifestyle.
I always have to raise an eyebrow a bit when someone is attempting to defend Scripture (even if you're off base with the interpretation) and yet responds in a sarcastic and unkind way. While you're busy defending one verse, don't forget what the rest of it says.

I wouldn't say that interpreting a person's decision not to have children as an act of disobedience to God and the Cultural Mandate is widely accepted. There's more there than just "multiply." While I am a bit discouraged by the number of people who do not want to have kids these days and can't fathom not wanting to have children myself, I know that there are many circumstances under which the decision not to have kids would be a wise and responsible one.
