Come on! Guys need to be able to have a guy perspective ..and its all in good fun, so don't call down the gods of womens lib on me.
But it's kind of fun... I mean, their thunder bolts are pink and everything ;)

Guys can have a guy perspective, and they do. But it should be kept amongst the guys.

After a couple of the threads that have been posted lately, I just want to make one titled, "Ladies, We Suck and We Are Sorry."

But I suppose the less calling out to the other gender from across the junior high gym floor we do, the better.
Dude...not all of us have this idea that women are a higher life form than men... Please remember this is a thread for men :)

Nope! Because this is a subforum for both men and women. (And secretly, I think the more that people post here, the more you will respond, and the deeper your hole is going to get :p)

Then you should remember that the first rule in the Hidden Book of Man's Wisdom is not to talk about the Hidden Book of Man's Wisdom...

While I agree with what Ugly said, I'll add to it in that there is a common denominator on what all women want, even though all women are different. All women do want the man to be the leader in some way or another. Even though it is Biblical, there are even women that are nonbelievers that want the men to know what they want and how to go about getting/doing it. Everything else, as Ugly has talked on, depends on the individual. I think rather than trying to figure out what women want, I think it's important to figure out what God wants, and how is He going to mold us into what He wants us to be for a woman if He wants us to spend the rest of our lives with one. All woman love confidence, and once we establish our confidence in Christ, that's a home run.

I agree, but I think to be a leader one should have some understanding of those one would lead. And often men just don't understand how women think and whats important to them.

Personally I find that the more you learn, the more you realize how much you really don't know. Experience and time spent with one particular woman learning everything about her that you can is going to be the best way to gain wisdom. You can collect all the tips and advice you want, but it can all change depending on the individual.

My best advice would be to include everyone and "be humble, thinking of others as better than yourself." You know what the ladies want right now? To post in your thread (and probably not nice things either :p).

Well, we might view this from the opposite perspective to eliminate a few things.

One, most women seem to need to know that you view each one of them as unique individuals, and therefore would not necessarily appreciate us trying to decide what the entire gender wants.... as a , "one-size-fits-all answer."

Secondly, I don't think most women want us to decide what they need to do to "fix" things.

Well, what does it mean to be a leader? It's not where one works or drives, because there are plenty of people that are unable to work, and there are plenty of people that can't drive, including me. Do those circumstances make these guys any less of a man? Of course not. I've seen documentaries of men unable to walk or even talk because of diseases like ALS, and yet they have a beautiful family and their wives are so grateful and appreciative and respectful of them. So what does it mean, then, to lead? I think we get caught up in what the world thinks leading is, versus what God says leading is. Which is basically being her sheild. Bringing out the best of her in Christ, as well as yourself, and leading the two of you in your walk together.

To be a leader means to accept the responsibility to do the "crap" work, and to appreciate what others do as important for the whole show to work.

I understand what your saying...but I think its healthy for men to discuss these matters and to be able to learn from other men..from a mans perspective. I cant stop a woman from posting on this thread ....I just thought it might be entertaining to them to hear how guys think...without telling them how they should think :)
