If God had an email address, what would you write to Him about? :)

I would write to Him about trials. Why we have to go through them and why He doesn't make them obvious (so we know that it's a trial from Him).

I'd send him an e-card saying thank you.

I saw a postcard once in a Christian bookstore that said, "God always has time for Knee-Mail" (prayer), which really made me smile. I talk to God about everything. There are probably times when He's up there saying, "Oh boy. Here we go, AGAIN." :) And there have been times (even recent, I admit) that if I am talking to Him about something rather personal or embarrassing, I actually pray with a blanket over my head because I'm too embarrassed to "look at Him" while I'm talking. As if He really couldn't see me, right???!!!

I have to wonder though. If God had an email address, what would happen to the Spammers???!!!

He'd not fwd me garbage, and he'd have the ultimate in spam filters!
His inbox would have a gagillion messages, because he'd only delete the stuff we asked Him to forgive us from sending to Him, and He'd be saving all those pictures we sent and the cute things we said, the promises we made, and such...
...but the number of unread messages would be Zero.

His address is engraved in "Capitol Letters" in my heart, soul, and mind..
Three in one place

I would write about all the things He's done for me .. Honoring Him, loving Him..
There just aren't enough words good enough or any pen that can hold it's measure ..

Well, it'd really just be the same thing I talk to Him about, so anything and everything. Pages long worth of emails, or sometimes just a couple of words/sentences.

I'd probably send Him a lot of questions, since I know He doesn't get tired of them (probably the only one who doesn't, ha) and lots of pictures of His creation, since I know He'd appreciate them as much as I do.

He'd probably send me back gentle, sweet responses with words so beautiful that I'd have to read it 5 times over and still not be able to soak it in. Then there are times when He would send a firm rebuke or correction, and I'd make myself read it even if I didn't want to.

He'd also have an uncanny knack for sending me just the right words at just the right time.

And He'd never, EVER send me those silly "If you don't send this to 42,003 people in .60 seconds then Maggie the Murderer will come in the night to kill you!!1!!" emails.

You don't have to write to Him for that. He's already answered that question in His Word. ^_^

As others have stated, we have email. More like pmail, though. ^_^

God's Email.
I can see it now - a dozen computer scientists try to hack through his email account, but can't get through...
so they decide he doesn't exist.

: )

It would be really cool if God had an email address. My reasoning for that is because I tend to express myself better through the written word. It just feels more organic to me than a straight up person to person or person to God discussion.

So, if God had an email address I would explain how sorry I was about all the stupid stuff I've done and express how thankful I am for all that he is and has done for me. I'd then go into all the questions I have about this little life of mine, about existence, and about all those unanswered questions we all have. Then, to lighten up the email a bit, I'd add some pictures of cute things and just tell him that I'm thankful he created cute things so that we can look at them and bring a little happiness into our day. Like a cute picture of a little puppy or something.

The cool thing is, that if we sent an email to him and added a read receipt so that we make sure he got it, we'd always get a response back saying he read it. :)

YES!! :) That is exactly why I think an email is different from prayer and that's why I made this thread. :)

Plus, for me, praying is intense and it comes straight from the heart, whereas email is more like a casual exchange. I was expecting answers like asking God if there really is life on other planets or what would He like for me to change about my life in order to better serve him, stuff like that. I mean prayer is like dialing the hotline to God, but email is like well... email. :D
