Why would God care how we praise him? There are so many ways to praise God! You can praise him through your sports, your works, and through ANY music! its not about how you sing the song, its about what its about. Also, its a gate way to how people can reach God, screamo is a ministry in a sense as well, bands like Red and Devil Wears Prada have led countless souls to Christ, and isnt that our purpose on Earth? Show others the way to God, and praise him in every breathe we take, and those of you bashing screamo music- not cool. This is part of the reason secular despises christians so much, many of us our being so judgmental, were playing the part of God, he will judge everyone someday. We need to bring people to God by befriending those who are against them and showing compassion and love. Screamo can be a gateway to lead people to Christ as well as a way to praise God, screamo is beautiful, listen to the lyrics not the screamo

As far as your favorite 'Christian' band being Deliverance, Jimmy Brown II, the bands only original member, is a self confessed foul mouthed, drinking gambler, & for many years now has been into Kabbalah. A form of jewish Mysticism. Basically they believe the entire Old Testament is not literal & the only way to interupret the meanings in it is to have a special teacher who has learned the special secrets of knowledge about the OT. Or how about the idea that the Jews are the chosen people because God went to all the other races & asked them to follow him & They all said no, so since the jews were the last option he threatened them with dropping a mountain on them if they said no. Yeah, thats what he believes. He tries to combine this with Christianity. Not sure how that works. I've stopped listening to them for a long time.

I said one of my favorites. I hardly even listen to them anymore, but once in a while dude. I guess I gotta start writing books everytime I post to make sure that I specify every detail. A lot of so called "christians" have their vices. As far as his beliefs go, thats his own choice...I'm not involved with them. Thanks for the info...

I first pay attention to what the music makes me feel, then accompany that with the lyrical aspects.
If the message is of love, it need not be screamed, possibly just emphasized by peaceful vocal strength.
Im a singer, I know, I get into the feel of whats being said, envisioning if it might help another in some way, you know how music can do that sometimes.
I think also, would I allow my children to listen to that, or, would my grammy want to even hear it, regardless if the front is that its for "kids". The children are the most important, and this must be realized. The least are the most.

Well I think that screamo goes against the law of music..bands like Demon Hunter, Brian "Head" Welch, The Devil Wears Prada, Oh Sleeper, Underoath, ect. they all make me wana go bang my head against the wall! haha! I mean, let me tell ya....im a HUGE fan of rock music! Skillet is my favorite band of all time! I like Skillet, tobyMac, Red, The Almost, Fireflight, Pillar, Flyleaf, Stellar Kart, P.O.D, Disciple, Kutless, Seventh Day Slumber, The Afters, BarlowGirl, ect. I mainly look at how they act. Does their life show Christ? How about the lyrics? Dont get me wrong, I even listen 2 some secular rock music. I try very hard to be careful what kind of secular music i listen to tho!!!! I try to stay away from music that talks about sex, drugs, or puts down our God. I listen very close to the lyrics!

I think screamo goes against the law of music! I wouldn't listen The Devil Wears Prada, Norma Jean, Blessthefall, Underoath, Demon Hunter, August Burns Red, Brian "Head" Welch. Oh Sleeper, Winter Solstice, Through Fallen Skies, Night After Dark, ect. Don't get me wrong, I am a HUGE fan of Christian rock and rock. For that matter, my favorite band of all time is Skillet!!!! So yeah, i like rock, like, Skillet, Red, tobyMac, House of Heroes, Fireflight, Flyleaf, The Almost, Casting Crowns, The Afters, BarlowGirl, Pillar, Stellar Kart, P.O.D, Disciple, Kutless, Seventh Day Slumber! I think that you should at least be able to hear what the band is trying to say.
