The problem with you teenagers is that you just have no idea how vain life on earth really is. There is nothing in this world worth pursuing, and if you continue your pursuit you are going to regret it one day. You'll either regret it because you tossed your soul away, or because you wasted years you could have spent serving God.

I completely agreed with your comments other then your generalization on teenagers. There are many teenagers that are following God and have a much bigger desire to love God then a lot of ChristianAdults do, please don't generalize us all into one catagory.

Many of the great names in Earth's history have significantly improved on the lives of many because they pursued their dreams, such as Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin in their pursuit to reach the moon, Eddy Mabo in his pursuit to win back the land for the Aboriginal Australians, and need I mention the founders of the very land on which you live and breathe? If they never pursued their aspirations to build a nation, where do you think you would be?

Seriously fella, no disrepect, but you can't wear a picture of a renowned historic figure as your default photo and say that nothing is worth pursuing. Bless ya.

We must have our mind on eternal things, and not worldly things. This is why I made my comment earlier in this thread, that many teenagers still believe there is good to be found in this world.

Former American President Abraham Lincoln was a Christian. As one of America's neighbours I'm sure you would have heard of him along the grapevine. I'd like to do a Caleb and use a quote for your reference, from his Gettysburg Address:

"It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us—that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they here gave the last full measure of devotion—that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain—that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."

I think you should add William Wilberforce to your Lincoln argument as well.

I don't understand your point however. These men didn't live for this world and that was why they were able to do their jobs without fear of reprisal from men. They said like Paul: "To live is Christ and to die is gain." Neither of these men stored up treasures on earth, their hearts were always on their treasure in heaven. They loved God with the whole heart, soul, strength and mind, and their neighbor as themselves.

I'd advice against letting another human be your armour, not a very wise choice. How about that armour of God? I'd much rather of God fighting for me.

Mate, Abraham Lincoln did what he thought it right to do because he was a leader. Is it not enough to you that he was an ambitious man that was also a God-fearing man? We as humans do what we can on Earth while we're mortal humans. Just leave it.
