Then go sacrifice animals... Don't shave... Don't talk in church..lol. Js. Jesus came to fulfill the law. It is finished :) if you read a scripture in the old, you got to see what the new says. The new says its ok to eat any animal. I have graduated Religion classes, and now ordained. But amyway. Follow your convictions regardless.

If i could sacrifice animals now i would..

Much love to you holyness. I have to caution you and everyone who reads this though... this is very wrong and it is the one thing that makes it impossible to be redeemed by Christ... if once you have known the Grace of the LORD, to want to go back to sacrificing animals, which could not forgive sin, but, could only cleanse a man's conscience (there's a big difference)... it is like trying to re-nail Christ to the cross again.

Heb 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
Heb 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
Heb 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Heb 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
Heb 10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
Heb 10:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

Heb 10:26 For if we sin...

[speaking of unbelief and choosing to wait for another savior, going back to sacrificing animals for the remission of sin... which animal blood never did]

...wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Heb 10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Heb 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
Heb 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

To start off, I am on my iPod so please excuse any typos. Anyways is it really a sin to eat shrimp, pork, crab, lobster, and to shave? I looked it up and some people say Jesus said all old testament rules are still in effect but some say differently? Care to clear up the air for me?
Gal 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

Gal 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Colossians 2:16-19 MSG

So don't put up with anyone pressuring you in details of diet, worship services, or holy days. All those things are mere shadows cast before what was to come; the substance is Christ. Don't tolerate people who try to run your life, ordering you to bow and scrape, insisting that you join their obsession with angels and that you seek out visions. They're a lot of hot air, that's all they are. They're completely out of touch with the source of life, Christ, who puts us together in one piece, whose very breath and blood flow through us. He is the Head and we are the body. We can grow up healthy in God only as he nourishes us.

Fulfill the law doesn't mean do away with it man. It means to live it out in his own. He lived the law to show that it wasn't impossible. He said not one jot or title of the law would ever pass away. Isaiah talks about when christ comes back sacrifices will start again. You shouldn't talk in church, but jews talk all the time in church. Theiir church is more like a big spiritual debate. It's awesome.

Being ordained and going to classes only helps so much man. I Went to christian college too. My Brother went to Oral roberts, Wheaton, and hebrew university. I think i can def say we both learned a lot more outside of school then we have in school.

That was because of sacrificial reasons. In the new testament it said not to call any animal unclean. I respect it if it's your conviction, but whats good for you isn't good for everybody.
People so often misinterpret this passage and take it out of context. It had nothing to do with meat, I'll explain, even though this scripture explains itself....

9On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
10And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
11And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
12Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
13And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
14But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
15And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common. 16This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

God showed this vision to Peter so that he would accept the Gentiles into his home because at that time it was unlawful for a Jew to permit a Gentile to enter their home. It was said three times, because there were three men that were to arrive at Peter's door.

Peter even explains this vision later to Cornelius and his men and even tell's them that God has said to call NO MAN unclean, Peter doesn't say anything about meat....

28And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

Study to show yourself approved.

Heb 7:14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
Heb 7:15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
Heb 7:16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
Heb 7:17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Heb 7:18 For there is verily a disannulling [G115]...

G115
ἀθέτησις
athetēsis
ath-et'-ay-sis
From G114; cancellation (literally or figuratively): - disannulling, put away.

...of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
Heb 7:19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

Act 15:5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
Act 15:6 And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
Act 15:7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
Act 15:8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
Act 15:9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
Act 15:10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
Act 15:11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

Gal 2:14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?
Gal 2:15 We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,
Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Gal 2:17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.
Gal 2:18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.
Gal 2:19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Read Romans chapter 7 too. Read the whole new Testament on your knees.

If you haven't had everything you hold dear stripped away from you: wife, kids, health, money, reputation, possessions, friends and more; then you haven't even been close to being in school yet. Those are just the prerequisites.

I challenge everyone who goes up against this word to ask God Himself to put them in school.

Mat 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
Mat 3:9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
Mat 3:10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Take this to the LORD, I'm not your God.

Btw, those scriptures I posted above are from Acts chapter 10 if anybody wants to look it up for themself. I would highly recommend reading the chapter as a whole instead of pulling out one of two scriptures to try to make them mean something that they don't. Yes, those animals that were called unclean in Leviticus are still considered unclean by God.

God is the same yesterday, today, and forever AMEN!

I would also recommend that people post scripture with their interpretations, instead of just posting their interpretations. So, people at least have something to compare it to. I have witnessed many people posting their interpretations of scripture, which are often biased and wrong, instead of posting the Holy, undefiled Word of God.

Rom 14:1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
Rom 14:2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
Rom 14:3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
Rom 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
Rom 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
Rom 14:6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
Rom 14:7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
Rom 14:8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
Rom 14:9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
Rom 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
Rom 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Rom 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
Rom 14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
Rom 14:14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
Rom 14:15 But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.

If you, or any brother, does not want to eat things that were called unclean in the old testament, then out of love, I will not try to get you to eat. But, out of love for others, you can not call things unclean to him that can eat in faith.

Whatever is not done in faith is sin. And we know a tree by it's fruit.

Rom 14:20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
Rom 14:21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
Rom 14:22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
Rom 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Don't misunderstand Avidan I am not judging anybody by what I have said. Forgive me if I have come off in that way. I do not condemn anybody for what they eat. As I responded to the OP earlier, if you are convicted to not eat these things, then don't. If not, then continue to eat what you will.

Corinthians 8
13Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

Yes, those animals that were called unclean in Leviticus are still considered unclean by God.
If what we eat can neither make one clean or unclean, how can any animals be called unclean? Who are they unclean to? They are unclean to the one who can not eat them in faith. Not because the animal is unclean, but, because what is not done in faith, is sin.

Mar 7:18 And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;
Mar 7:19 Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
Mar 7:20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
Mar 7:21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
Mar 7:22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
Mar 7:23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

I don't post this because of my feelings toward any of it, as if it affects my faith. Forgiveness needs to be asked of those who read things that put them into bondage.

I post so others reading won't be seduced into the bondage of sin by what they eat. The Law of Moses is what gives sin it's power unto death.

1Co 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
1Co 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

For anyone reading: Look at your fruit. It will tell you of whom you are abiding in:

When the waves come at you, tell them:

My righteousness is God, in Christ.
He will perfect everything that concerns me.

We are to be dead to the Law and Alive to Christ... thus disarming Satan from conceiving sin in us.

Jas 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
Jas 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Jas 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

You are super right. I would love to post scriptures and stuff. Sometimes i do if someone asks for it specificly, but i am usually at work and don't have time.

I see everyone posting stuff concerning the law of sin and death, and how we are not made pure by JUST upholding the law.

Not really anything concerning alll the law though.
