This has kinda been bothering me, this talk about the last days.
Because I don't know where I'll be... as in preparedness. And I'm still wondering if I'll have time to get married before anything starts getting really out of hand... :p

When Dwight L Moody was asked what he would do if he knew Jesus was coming tomorrow, he said he'd "plant a tree." Good advice. Live your life ready to go be with the Lord but live life.

Two days ago I talked with an old classmate who never married and is now almost fifty years old because she was "waiting for Jesus to come back."

Wow! That's not the Jesus I know. The Jesus I know wants us to live our lives just live them in the right way while waiting for Him to come back.

Live your life. Get married, make babies, live out the Christian life God gave you.

Believe it or not, I worried about that when I was your age, also. "Will I ever get married?" "Should I even bother to go to college?" "What will things be like in 5 years? or 10?" But God doesn't want us to worry, and no man knows the day or the hour of Jesus' return. I eventually learned that it's best to take it all day-by-day. Ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit, and learn to recognize His still, small, voice. Give no thought to tomorrow, just deal with today. Stay in His will, and you will be ready when the time comes (IF it even comes in your lifetime ;)) Go to college if you are so led. Get married if God brings the right man into your life. But don't worry about it. Focus instead on staying right with Jesus, and learning to share Him with others. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God........" ;) Love, Nicole

I agree! No one knows! The day is def getting closer.. the bible does say that a thousand years to us is a day in bible times, and Jesus said he'd be back in two days(something along those lines) and were at the end of those two days (or 2,000 years) but why worry? Just be prepared, and once you know your right with god, you have nothing to worry about :)

Like others have said, just live a normal life. Don't worry about when the end comes, because no only God knows that hour.

I agree with the above posters, dont spend your time in worry and fear overwhen jesus might come back. It may not ever be in your lifetime.

This is a great example of why I have some hatred for many religions. I too was scared out of my mind as a child because of fear of the apocolapse. That fear is used to control you. I find this very sad.

Don't worry about these things...the end won't be for a very very long time, lest there is a nucular holocaust.

Sounds like you're a casualty of modern-day-organized-religion-without-any-spirituality, Michelle. My heart goes out to you, I might feel the same way if I had been raised in the average spiritually-dead church :(. But, please, although you understandably reject religion, please stay open-minded about the fact that Jesus loves you, that He died for you, and that He wants to have a relationship with you. I do not expect you to take my word for this, but I would appreciate it (when you feel ready), if you would just ask Jesus with an open heart if it is true, and He will show you Himself. Because then you will know for certain, no mind-control involved ;). You seem like a very intelligent young lady, and it is good to have you on this site. But please realize that not everyone who says they're a christian is a mindless, spiritually dead dried-out shell ;). I follow Jesus because He loves me, and because I realize that when you take away all the vanity of this life, He's really all there is. At some point, please, give Him the opportunity to wrap you in His love. Praying for you- Nicole <3
