my personal thoughts on the matter is do you have "believe" in God because of what He can give you or because you have FAITH?

Is your trust conditional upon getting what you want or because in your heart you KNOW God?

I think people should read the book of Job again and remember what the FALSE friends told Job when he was suffering physical illness, lose of his children, etc.

You will find many false teachers will quote the FALSE friends out of context and those who have not read the whole book won't realize that those guys were WRONG and gave BAD counsel to Job and God was MAD at them for they did not represent HIM justly.

again I say it is not individuals that heal but GOD. GOD has a plan and a purpose, we are to learn it and follow His will. Miracles do not save souls, they are just a temporary bandaid and unless the root problem of sin is healed by bringing people to godly sorrow, repentance and faith in JEsus for the forgivenness of sin, it is nothing more then casting out a demon to make room for seven more because the house is found empty.
Whether or not I see results, I believe in God because He is. It matters not what He can give me, but it matters whether or not He is my Lord. I don't seek the God to be healthy, prosperous, or happy. I seek Him because there is no other purpose in life but to have a relationship with Him. I'm happy to say this, AnandaHya - I'm a broken man :)

And I agree completely that it is not individuals who heal but God.

If signs and wonders aren't following those who believe - they best check what they believe.

I absolutely love how people deny divine healings, especially "christians"

you have no clue if you think either Beth or I don't believe or have not seen signs or wonders. for you do not know either of us very well.

No one denies "divine healing" what we question is those who claim THEY heal and not that GOD heals.

what we state is that many pipe and demand signs and wonders, however JESUS warns the Elect of THIS:

Matthew 24:24
For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Mark 13:22
For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Matthew 7:21-23
New King James Version (NKJV)
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

have you read the book of Job and compared it to what your church teaches?

I never claimed I heal. I know it's God. We've been given the power.

I still don't get why everyone attacked this thread.... I didn't write anything offensive, or out there in the OP. I know what God's called me to, and I'm not ignoring it.

People are probably getting upset because many know people who have faith in God's healing power who haven't been healed, no matter what they do, and you seemed to imply that everyone who needs it will be healed (at least was my understanding from your posts) and it's simply not true.

attack this thread?

thought everyone was having a discussion.... are you feeling attacked?

have you found anything offensive in the responses that was directed at you or your OP?

what do you believe God called you to do?

went back and looked... its statements like this

"People don't like it when you put the responsability to go heal the sick on us rather than on God because it takes away all the excuses. We got to realize, he's done his part. He COMMANDED us to go heal the sick.."

that makes people think YOU believe it is YOU not GOD who heals.

Did Jesus not command us? Sorry some took it the wrong way. :)

It's never "leave in the name of Kyle."

It's "leave in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord."

Healing and deliverance are both sensitive topics. And personal faith is even more touchy! There is more for everyone to have in common than disagree on though!

God loves us all. Jesus died for us to be reconciled to God and made whole: spirit, soul and body!

hislastwalk, since you say God heals through you and you posess such a miraculous gift I figured you knew about miracles, and the difference in what one and what isn't one. Also, since you are a Christian and I assume you read the bible often you would know when if someone says they are a prophet, healer and such that we are to keep a watchful eye.

It is good when believers question. It is not disrespect or attacking. Do you have any idea how many false teachers are out there? If it wasn't for believers questioning them and exposing them for who they are then the world would be ALOT more corrupt. If you are not guilty of being a false teacher then there is no reason for you to feel attacked.

Anandaya, and I have been in many discussions like this. We are not saying you are wrong or right. We are not condemnnig you, but we are educated. When know what the bible says about healing. We know God heals, and not man. We also know that some like to take credit for God's work. You aren't doing that, but many many do.

Look. I didn't feel attacked, but everyone took the thread out of proportion.

I could be wrong, but so could you.

This thread was what God told me to write so take it up with Him.

To take it a step farther, in another post, he actually states if you don't believe in his version of healing, you don't worship the God of the bible. And, essentially are 'no better than a mormon'. Thereby, if you don't believe in his version of healing, you are not saved.
