I started not to comment at all on this thread. Why, because it seems a menial discussion to me. We are still talking about the Sabbath and the kingdoms mentioned in the OP. First of all, for those with understanding, Christ and His work on the cross is our Sabbath. Without Him, we have no rest and are slaves to sin. Secondly, the kingdoms mentioned in the OP were given us by Daniel. But, take special note to Grecia, it was split into four kingdoms by four generals and Syria being the most prominent. If you don't think so, look closely at the last two or three chapters of Daniel as they go into detail of the wars between Syria and Egypt, many years before they took place. Why would the Holy Spirit record this? Number 1, Gabriel told Daniel what would happen to "his'' people. And they would be caught in the middle of these wars. There is a second reason that many will scoff and laugh me to scorn, but I will post anyway. The antichrist will be a Syrian Jew and rise to fame by solving the crisis in the middle east. But, in fact this is menial, Because faith in Christ and Him crucified annuls us from all of these events.

Yes Jesus is the truth so is the word of God and so is the Law of God as the text says. So if a person is sealed with the Holy Spirit then he will be led to obey God's Law.
Acts 5:32
Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
so you are led to obey God's law...great...when are you going to start the animal sacrifices?

Grace is truth. Do you know what GRACE means in the New Testament?

The "shadow" clearly was about sacrificing animals as Jesus Christ became our perfect lamb from heaven. Obviously those laws were fulfilled. The sabbath law was about showing that our God is the creator who created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th. Isn't our God still the creator? Are we now His people?
If the sacrificial laws were fulfilled by Jesus, then all the Mosaic Law was, including the 10 Commandments. All 613 laws, including the 10 commandments, are one unit and not to be divided. I got this information from a Jewish Rabbi, who is well studied in the Hebrew Scriptures. I cannot say all Jewish scholars agree to this but the majority do. The point is, if Jesus fulfilled one point of the law, he fulfilled it all. My rest is in Christ, everyday.

The point about the mark of the beast being Sunday laws is nothing more than a paper tiger.

Okay here I go again. Why could not the law save anyone? Why did OT saints yearn for a redeemer when they had the law? Why did God have to become a man a give His life in order for man to have a chance? why couldn't the law do this for us? Because the law was given to expose sin and not relieve it. It was to show the high standard of the nature of God and every man failed. Thank God for His Son Jesus Christ who willingly gave His life for you and me. He didn't have to and was not forced to, no man killed Him. He gave His life willingly. The love of God for humanity is the most amazing thing I have ever seen. Amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. What law, name one, can do that?

I totally agree. My guess is the Seventh Day Adventist false teacher/prophet (the one with the 3rd grade education and brain damage) said the mark of the beast is on those who do not obey the sabbath or perhaps she just plagiarized that from a comic strip. So they all parrot the same dribble.

people do impossible gymnastics with the scriptures to make them feel ok about not obeying Christ's words.
John 5:39
"You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me!

John 3:18
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

Mark 16:16
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

1 John 5:10
Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son.

Actually, I think there is a distinction to be made between the Levitical Priesthood and the Priesthood after the Order of Melchizedek. That's pretty deep bible study though. Would probably need it's own thread to get into that

like i have said elsewhere in this thread...it is a spirit of confusion that God sent to the adventists through ellen white as his judgment for their unrepented sin of false prophecy when they followed miller in 1844...

My wifes aunt is a 7 dayer and they are tied to legalism and law rules them. They are not taught grace through faith. They are taught righteousness by works. Which negates the work of the cross and faith in the cross is the only thing God will accept and nothing else. Good as we may be, without the cross, well lets say its very hot there.

Shows how much you know about Ellen White and the 7th day adventists. Miller was before them. Even then, Miller and those people that followed him all repented of misunderstanding scriptures (which is what it was) and fasted and prayed for quite awhile. Again, they repented. The 7th day adventist church came along later. God does not strike people that misinterpret scriptures. Otherwise we'd all be in trouble. But again, Ellen White was not part of the Millerites anyway.

Plus the fact that the 7th day adventists are only one denomination that keeps the sabbath on Saturday. I'm not a 7th day adventist. That's such garbage to say God struck people with the spirit of confusion just because you disagree with a doctrine. I could easily say the same thing about you just because you disagree with me.

That is an absolute lie. Seventh day Adventists believe all are saved by grace. They do NOT teach that salvation comes through works. I don't know why I'm wasting my time in here. You people all just lie and slander so you can feel good about yourselves and your bogus beliefs. I'm going to stop this. This is definitely not good for my mind to keep exchanging with people willing to lie like this to make themselves feel good. Goodbye.

actually the seventh day adventist church began with unrepentant millerites...

after miller's prediction that jesus would return in 1844 failed...those who would later become the adventists refused to give up on miller's 1844 date...they reinterpreted it to mean something else other than the return of christ...

the adventists were not given a spirit of confusion for misinterpreting scripture...misinterpretation of scripture has been the -result- of their spirit of confusion...

the sin the adventist churches are being judged for is the very serious sin of false prophecy...specifically the false prophecy of miller and those who followed him...which they have yet to repent from...

Why isn't this thread closed. It's just another Seventh Day Adventist cult member starting a deceitful thread to push a lie while deliberately failing to identify themselves as a cult SDA member. All the cults work this way. Obviously, Sunday is not the mark of the beast. Neither is Monday through Saturday... lol. Close this ridiculous thread moderators and ban the one who started it for spreading gross misinformation.

if seventh day adventists teach that we are saved by grace then how can they -also- teach that a sinful -work- can result in a person forfeiting salvation? namely the sinful work of taking the 'mark of the beast' which they believe to be sunday worship?

inconsistency happens...

This has gone on far enough someone anwser my question please is this the commandment we must keep? 20 And God spake all these words, saying,
2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
13 Thou shalt not kill.
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15 Thou shalt not steal.
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
Exodus 20:1-17
