Shouldn't Christians soften their hearts to receive salvation and love? We are rescued by empathy and encouraged to be kind and respectful to our brothers and sisters. "Too soft" is how God has created some of us to be.

Youre too soft. Your feelings get hurt too ez. Bold defense is not hatred.
You are the problem with Christians today.
The turn and burn approach doesn't work. Christ defended God's Word boldly but he did it with love. That's one thing you're lacking.

Thats all sweet sounding, but the fact remains, you are are a sinner, we are all sinners while we in this flesh. Why do you think Paul couldnt wait to die and be with the Lord?

It is very sweet- and that is why I believe it. Why would Christ sacrifice himself if we would still be sinners? After we let him into our hearts, we become separated from evil so we can chase after him.

I thought she meant to say, "the coma" is killing me.....:)
If I were in a coma and could only communicate through CC forums, I'd probably post more cat pictures :)

You can quote all the scripture you want. To believe our God of love. Our Father, would close the doors on those who havent had our opportunity of information is ridiculous. Hyprocrisy. Arrogant and foolish. To believe that is to say a lowly, sinful man as myself, has more love for Gods creation than God himself. Thats simply nonsense.
Its time we know God through our actions of faith rather than whats written.
However, whatever we believe we learn about God or from God cannot contradict scriptures. Those are Jesus' words. That's the test of the spirits. If they contradict? Those spirits are not from God.

Were Pauls writings written when He said that?..... No, they were not. I filter Pauls writings. Alot of his writings were his own thoughts and feelings. Not Godly inspired.

By the way, I think God has a way to handle people who don't get to hear the message. After all, he's a pretty smart guy.

Judgemental? Lol....wow. The hypocrisy spews from your mouth.
I cant reason with hypocrisy.
You cant stand being wrong. Get over it, it wont be the first time.

That's what I'm talking about. Accusing people of hypocrisy, of being arrogant. Let me give you a hint. Throwing insults around like that may be an indication that someone has a problem with arrogance. Slander is also a sin. It's pretty foolish to start up a conversation with a bunch of strangers and assume they are arrogant or have other major character flaws just because they disagree with you. People can hold to all kinds of opinions without being arrogant. Slander is also a sin. You may not put much weight on the scriptures that talk about the severe nature of God, but slander is a sin, and you should be careful throwing your accusations around toward the posters on this forum.

I believe in Plenary-verbal Inspiration; what position do you take on the validity of God's Word (e.g., The Bible)? Do you believe in Limited-inspiration, Dictation theory, etc.? How do you know objectively what is truly God's Word and what isn't? I would be really curious to know how you differentiate between what is true in the Bible and what isn't, and what is your evidence for believing such a thing?

Note: I have yet to see anyone offer evidence that limited inspiration theory is valid, and to say otherwise is conjecture, as we could then not trust any part of God's Word.

Gypsy, God's Word as a whole is God-breathed/inspired by God. Paul's writings included. Stop being arrogant and stop calling people fools and learn to accept God's love, so you can show that same love to others.

I'd love to think that people who did not get to hear the Gospel are saved, however it appears to be proven wrong. Why would we bother to spread it if we were already free? And wouldn't spreading it cause some people to lose out on being saved due to rejection?
[h=3]John 14:6[/h]King James Version (KJV)

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
