The title of the thread is incorrect, money is not the root of all evil...
1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
The LOVE of money...
Luk 16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

The LOVE of money...

Why? God sanctions the proper use of money...
Deu 14:22 Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
Deu 14:23 And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
Deu 14:24 And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
Deu 14:25 Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:
Deu 14:26 And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
Here God says to turn tithe into money to keep the Feasts.

The end of 3 years signifying Christ's death and resurrection.

This represents the true Sabbath and rest. Now FOREIGNERS are the only ones still using money and credit.

It doesn't say money is the root of all evil, it says the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. It's okay to be rich, but where is your heart? Do you put your heart on your riches instead of God? Do you trust your money more than God? Do you use your money to help others in need, or are you greedy and selfish and want more and more? Do you use your money for the necessities of daily life, or do you buy things you don't really need, but just want to keep up with the neighbours? Are you proud? Are you greedy? Are you selfish? Do you help others? Do you waste money when others are hungry and in need? These are the questions to answer and these are the sins, not the money. IF you love money so much that your heart falls into the category of any of these, or you put your trust in your money more than God, then that is the sin. If all your money were taken away from you tomorrow, would you still be able to trust God for your daily bread, and would you STILL BE CONTENT with what you have? These are the keys.
Isaiah 55:1-3
55 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
Do you find satisfaction in working for a living? Do you find enjoyment in paying money for that which isn't bread?
We can end this, and the God however you may see Him will come! All we have to do is let go of a dead past and conquer your minds, and the fear that controls it!

Yes, I saw that the "LOVE" part was already established, but my point was if all your money was taken away, could you still trust God for your daily bread, and would you BE CONTENT with whatever you have? I know Christians who could never survive in a life of poverty or if everything was taken away from them. So therefore, that tells me that their heart is set on the money, thus the love of money. I was not correcting about the word LOVE, rather dwelling on the meaning of loving money. Hope this clears things up for you.
