Hlo least. Yes I agree with you that all these different translations bring division and that is exactly what satan hoped to achieve through them. Ignoring the fact of them will however not get rid of the problem , will it? You see when he (satan) could not stop The Word being published and distribuited to "the world" , he did the next best thing. He corrupted enough of The Word sow discord. When someone who never heard The Word before , get hold of one of these corrupted copies called the bible and start studying it, what would the result be? God bless

Or maybe God allowed different translations, so that people from many different backgrounds, countries and communities could understand his Word in their language (street language/language of the ordinary people).

If we were merely talking about translations into other languages that fact could be true tintin but, let's take the English language as example. How many diffirent "english bibles" are there? In my mother tongue which serves roughly 15 million people all over the world we have more then 100 hundred different "bibles". Some you can hardly recognise as The Word of God. God bless tintin.

Please give me examples of translations that you believe are a problem. I for one can't understand the King James Bible. Should that be the only translation available to English-speaking people?

This is not the case of the majority of people. The Bible is God's written words. Without it. Like the original post states Hosea 4:6. It is not a good outcome .

fredjames made a good point, we should be reaching out to people who are in need. If they can't read , they should be read to; or taught to read.

In the Bible we learn of Christ, who does give Eternal life. Christ is the living word, he walked among us, and he taught the Word. That word is with us to this day. Christ Himself stated, that God's word is a witness to Him. And that man does not live by bread alone, but by every, word that comes out of God's mouth.

I comment because, I see a growing trend, that thinks its okay, to neglect God's written words; and teach people do to do that also...

It's good to say the Holy Spirit Guides us, but its a bad Idea to think the Holy Spirit would approve of neglecting the Word of God which Christ taught.. That's whats I see a lot of people saying.

There are many individuals who may not be able to read the Bible and what does God do for them? They are to “hear” with their ears and then God will open their minds to His truth. He said not only be Hears of the Word, but doers also.
It does not matter who it is all will have the opportunity to be a son and or daughter in Gods Kingdom at some time frame.
The real problem is for those who can read and don’t and just talk a talk not knowing how to walk the walk. That’s the ones in real danger. They say “ I have God now, I do not need the bible.” and they don’t read it any more.

A survey of churchgoing people revealed the following:

  • The most widely known Bible verse among adults and teens is “God helps those who help themselves”—which is not actually in the Bible and even conflicts with the basic message of Scripture.
  • One-third could not put the following in order: Abraham, the Old Testament prophets, the death of Christ, and Pentecost.
  • Half could not sequence the following: Moses in Egypt, Isaac’s birth, Saul’s death, and Judah’s exile.
  • One-third could not identify Matthew as an apostle, from a list of New Testament names.
  • When asked to locate the biblical book supplying a given story, one-third could not find Paul’s travels in Acts, half did not know that Jesus’ birth was in Matthew, half did not know that the Passover story was in Exodus.
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Hosea 4:6
That is why we need the Holy Spirit to teach us the Truth about the word.

You are way off base here friend, my own bible tells me: How did Jesus sum it up? Search the scriptures, for IN THEM ye think ye have ETERNAL LIFE, and they (the scriptures) are they (the ones) which testify of me.

And who is me? Jesus. And who is Jesus? Jesus IS LIFE ETERNAL which is the same as eternal life.
Is Jesus the bible? If not, then eternal life is not found there. It only testifies to where eternal life lies.

What is the exact difference between Jesus and the Bible?

John 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

One's a book; one's a living being.

That's a poor interpretation of John 1:1. I posted it for a reason.
In the beginning the logos was with GOD. The bible is not the logos. It is a book; an inanimate object. The logos is an eternal life-giving being.

And I will put this third into the fire, refine them as one refines silver, and test them as gold is tested. They will call on my name, and I will answer them. I will say, “They are my people”; and they will say, “The Lord is our God.” (Zechariah 13:9). For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried. You brought us into the net; you laid burdens on our backs; you let people ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a spacious place. (Psalm 66:10-12). And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, support, strengthen, and establish you. (1 Peter 5:10). From which translation is that tintin? Look at the New international version for instance . How many verse was left out of it? How many changes was made? Between diffirent kjv versions there is major differinces ect . But let's leave it there. The Holy Spirit will guide each one of us according to His will and wisdom as long as we allow Him to . God bless tintin. Do you watch rugby?

The Lamb’s book of life.is an inanimate object? Seriously?

Rev 21:27 But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

And no, the lamb's book of life is not a living being.
