The narrow gate....is Holiness and Separation from Worldly Lusts.
Our flesh is weak, and is always at war with God' s Spirit residing in us to teach us right from wrong. If we let our weak flesh overtake that spirit, we are resisting God himself. Most people do not want to adhere to being Holy and dedicated. They want to have it both ways....that is why that gate is narrow...

Try this view in the Bible.... God says that we come to a unity of the faith... How can people that war, come to a unity, ANY unity. And God says that HE is IN ALL HOLY PEOPLE... If God is in me, what can wart against HIM? My flesh is weak, but NOT WHEN HE IS INSIDE... He WON ALL....
Look at these verses... Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Rom 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Ok two things to consider... NOTHING can seperate us from the LOVE OF GOD! And LOOK the LOVE OF GOD IS IN CHRIST! And God says that for those in Christ, OLD THINGS HAS PASSED.... DEAD! The old FLESH WAR IS DEAD! God says... BEHOLD! Everythingis made NEW.... And the New what is that? It looks like this... But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
This makes all these verses so much more POWERFUL.... When GOD’s love in us is perfected, we are IN CHRIST A COMPLETE NEW PERFECT CREATURE!!! That is what the LOVE OF GOD does to ALL HE LOVES... Praise God for HIS LOVE! AMEN!

I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
No offense intended But! it would seem that some people should get this next part, tattooed on their brain, lol.
And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that (NOT! some group thing) exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Christ/Messiah, IS the straight and narrow gate; TO OUR FATHER AND HIS WORD.
Of course though, this is ONLY IF, IF, IF, one truly and sincerely cares enough about HIS other children; to really want to know what's up with all this____________________ in the world.
And hear for a certainty from HIM! what Christ/Messiah has been doing, since HE, Our Father left.
It IS far from what any religion, Christian or otherwise would have one believe, AT THIS TIME!

You already know what he is going to answer because he has been asked that before and has answered in many of his posts without being asked. So why ask. You be the mature one and go onto perfection and give him grace if you are able. I would say that to anyone, so you are not being followed by me or picked on.
You could obey the law perfectly, spend every minute of the day at it, without God and love it would mean absolutely nothing. Modern man has understood that part. What they are not getting is that if they love, love, love and spend hours on their knees in devotion and purposely break law, don't want anything to do with the law, it is the same dead end.
it's a very narrow gate indeed, not many come to terms of what truly the power of christ is, or experience the new birth in christ that miraculously transforms the mind and heart of someone, anyone doesn't matter who the person is, and not much people realise how real this truly is or can understand the touch of God that reveals to us that we are truly saved and have been redeem through the acceptance of christ in their heart, i encourage everyone to deligently seek God to experience the renewing of your life if you haven't experienced it as yet, whoever seeks and is determine to find will find what they are looking for

Good post! The Bible also tells us from Jesus " Noone can pluck them out of my hand"...... but bow many people since the First Century Church began...plucked themselves out of church??!!. Jesus as always is correct, saying NOONE can seperate them from me. However having a free moral choice, millions have been called to serve, stayed awhile, then left ( back sliders, etc) Paul even had problems with people like this, read his letters.
Rickee, I would say they never were of God's Church. Look at Eph 4 11 to 13. To become part of God's church, you have to go through HIS CHANNELS.... God says, He appointed people for the perfecting of the SAINTS... Now we know Saints are already people without sin, however, they need to be perfected.... FOR THE EDYFYING OF THE BODY OF CHRIST, and TO BE IN UNITY OF THE FAITH.... UNTO A PERFECT MAN!
Here is what God teach about those IN HIS HAND.... I would say salvation is complete when GOD IS FINISHED with the SAVING OPERATION. God says.... Those He predestinate, them he also called: them He also justified, them he also GLORIFIED!
Now here is the problem MANY people do not get the TRUTH from this verse. God glorifie us HERE ON EARTH. This GLORIFICATION of God for us on earth is to be as holy, as HE IS, to be as PERFECT as He is, and to be to the same GLORY Jesus had when HE was made MAN! Jesus says in John 17 the GLORY GOD GAVE HIM AS MAN, HE HAS GIVEN US....
Every SAVD person is as perfect and as holy and as obedient to God as Jesus was. Glorification, means to make SOMETHING OR SOMEONE - GODLY! To glorify is to make GODLY. God makes ALL things HIS: GODLY! A man of GOD is truly OF GOD! God says BORN OF GOD... now how can ANYTHING BORN OF GOD not be perfect or GLORIFIED?
So I would say, that some even got to the narrow GATE, and they walked and followed Jesus right up to the narrow gate. But when they came to the narrow gate, they TRY TO ENTER but they did not succeed.
Now I will share a dream/vision with you and you will see why they CANNOT ENTER.
I dreamed of a HUGE crowd and how Jesus walks through the croud, about 2 ,ile from the narrow gate in a huge mountain. There was like a narrow opening like a cave enterance in the mountain. But that is 2 miles from where my family and I was in the crowd. Boy there was many people, and a huge buzz was going on. People walkd and bumped into eachother. There were NO DIRECTION for any person in the croud.
The next moment Jesus appeared and He said to me... FOLLOW ME! He turned to the mountain and started walking. I knew, I had to stick close to Him, and just make sure NOTHING comes between me and HIM. I said to my wife, You stay right behind me, then to my eldest daughter, you stick to mom and stay right behind her, then to my second daughter, you stay right behind your sister, and then to the baby, you stay right behind your sister, and to my boy I said... you stay behind the baby sister, and make sure you ALL keep up. Not one of you look back! NOT ONE NOT ONCE... Look to the one infront AND KEEP UP.... Do not , I say again DO NOT let any person come between your family member you have to follow. Let no one cut in or break the chain....
The I turned around and started to follow my LORD. We walked and the people seem to get tighter the closer we get to the mountain. But I stayed with my lord, and as I fight to keep people from seperating me from Jesus, so I could hear and feel my wife stick close to me. The whole family kept up to what they were told, and we followed Jesus to the narrow gate.
When we got to the gate Jesus passed through, it was now my turn, and just before I passed through I knew, along the way, Jesus took ALL SIN FROM ME. When He CALLED me to FOLLOW Him, I knew He called me to be IN THE FATHER! And because HE KNEW THE WAY, He is the WAY, he made sure, if I follow I will be CLEANSED. Justified! So He cleaaned me and my family of ALL SIN. And when we got to the gate, we were as pure as HE is pure... 1 John 3. Now because there was NO SIN or EARTHLY LUST that kept us on this side of the narrow opening, we could pass through. ALL OF US JUST PASSED THROUGH. Once through there were no more a crowd. Only peace and pureness and bliss and holiness. Light EVERYWHERE.
I could see the people still FIGHTING to get through, but the ones that could not get through, had even as litlle as ONE SIN, that prevented them. Other's had earthly trust, like a BIG bank account that they trusted for their lives. And som just did not do what God said they must do, they gave up just before God would have saved them. This is the WORST ones to witness. They followed Jesus all this way, and now they stopped. Just before they could go through they stopped following. Oh some were so CLOSE....
Jesus NEVER looked behind Him to see if I followed. He did not look back even ONCE! I never looked back, neither any of my family.... And I remember.... No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
I hope this will give MANY people hope.... Do not LOOK BACK, and STAY RIGHT BEHIND JESUS! FOLLOW HIM!

Most people claiming to be " Christians" do not want to follow the guidelines Jesus laid down in The New Testament. They follow (like sheep) whatever their congregation follows. This is why there are so many Faiths, Religions, and beliefs in Christianity. The Only Church Jesus ever started is found in The Book of Acts Chapter #2., and the entire Book of Acts, and all the Epistles are addressed to that First Century A.D. Church. Any add on, doctrines, after that are works of men, not of God. This is the " Narrow Gate" being referred unto...
