"No results were found for rapture in the version(s):English Standard Version, King James Version, New American Standard Bible or New International Version."

No results were found for rapture in the version(s):Young's Literal Translation, Holman Christian Standard Bible,The Message, J.B. Phillips New Testament or Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition.

No RAPTURE! Or maybe you have some Bible version that has the word "rapture" in it? I think the Latin Vulgate might even the Catholic Bible did not.

Please post the version and the verse where this word appears. Thanks!

This is so "clear-cut" to me -- that I sometimes momentarily forget that some other people believe that the 'Wrath of God' is part of the 'tribulation period'...

Well --- I do not believe that it is.

If anything -- the tribulation period is the 'wrath of Satan'.

The 'tribulation period' is before the return of Christ.

The 'Wrath of God' is after the return of Christ.

:)
Yup. You got that right. Who believes otherwise. Its very clear in the scriptures

Just where do you plan on being during God's wrath?
ISAIAH 26 [19] THY DEAD MEN SHALL LIVE, TOGETHER WITH MYDEAD BODY SHALL THEY ARISE. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dewis as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. [20] COME, MYPEOPLE, ENTER THOU INTO THY CHAMBERS, AND SHUT THY DOORS ABOUT THEE: HIDETHYSELF AS IT WERE FOR A LITTLE MOMENT, UNTIL THE INDIGNATION BE OVERPAST. [21]For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of theearth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall nomore cover her slain.

Above you find what will happen at the 1Cor.15 event. Verse {19} The dead in Christ rise 1st. Then a game of hide and seek until Gods wrath has passed

ZEPH. 2 [1] Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired; [2] Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the Lord come upon you, before the day of the Lord's anger come upon you. [3] SEEK YE THE LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: IT MAY BE YE SHALL BE HID IN THE DAY OF THE LORD'S ANGER.

Like I said....a game of hide and seek

The 'Wrath of God' is after the return of Christ.

There are at least 3.5 years between them.

( the two witnesses )

However - everyone is entitled to believe what they will...

"To each his own..."

:)
The Tribulation is the first 2-1/2 years of the 3-1/2 years and the Day of the Lord is the last year. The first five seals are the Tribulation, the sixth seal is a transition - an anouncment that the Tribulation is over and the Day of the Lord is beginning and the last or seventh seal is the Day of the Lord.

There is no place to hide. They will flee to the mountains and call for the rock to hide them. David said that if he descended into the depths that he could not hide from God.

If we are hidden it is in the presence of the Lord. We are not appointed unto wrath. The prophecy you cite is toward Israel not the church.

No can be Roger. Its for those in Christ. Jew and gentile. In Isaiah 26{19} you find a resurrection of the dead. The Word says theres only 2 general resurrections. One at the 1Cor.15 event and one at the great White throne. So Roger tell me which one of these resurrections is found in Isaiah?

We will see when it happens, if you believe its a lie, then you believe it as a lie. But Just remember who is the father of lies. and who blinds people with lies.
Sounds like great advice. Are you taking your own advice? Who is believing the lie?

You have no passage placing the Lord's return before the Tribulation.
You have no passage discussing two separate returns
You have no passage that states any living person is taken to heaven after they are changed
You have no passage that distinguishes Tribulation Saints from Rapture saints
You have no passage that places the Church in heaven
You have no precedent for any group being taken to heaven to avoid trouble on earth

You have passages where you are warned NOT TO BE DECEIVED concerning when the Lord returns
You have passages where the Lord warns about going out after the false Christ
You have passages where it is stated the WHOLE WORLD will be Tested
You have passages where it says you will suffer tribulation and death
You have passages where it says we are to be the salt and light
You have passages where you are told to Watch.
You have passages showing a Great Magnitude of Christians who died during the Trib in Heaven. This group is crying and ashamed.
You have passages telling us Satan wages war with the Saints and defeats them.

The tribulation is nothing more than a test of who waits for Christ and who goes out after the false Christ. Read Jesus' account of it in Mat 24. You won't see anything about mountains being thrown into the sea, trees getting burned up, etc. He only talks about deception. What's the deception he is discussing? Why is Paul telling you not to be deceived about that day? Were is the strong delusion Paul talks about? Who has received this strong delusion? Certainly not those who believe the Word as written. Perhaps it is those who didn't like the Word the way it was so they changed it?

Hmm, sounds a lot like Satan's tempting of Eve.

Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die.
For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

Doesn't that sound so similar to this "You won't die and suffer tribulation, you are going to be Raptured." Hooray!!

The church goes out for the false christ and are slaughtered. See Rev 7 and the 6th trumpet. See also Isaiah 65. Those who believe in the Rapture think the real Christ comes first and Satan tricks them to bow down and worship him which at this point they are slaughtered. That's why they are crying in heaven and standing before the Throne of God, not beneath it with the other martyrs. Therefore the Church is a non factor in the Tribulation.

Keep in mind what the Tribulation is. It is the temptation of Satan. It is not mountains and fire and blood being thrown to earth.

Nope. The church is taken up in the twinkling of an eye. Happens so fast you would not have time to do anything. It's like getting hit by a lightning bolt.

Tribulation is the wrath of God poured out on the earth. Israel is judged for her unbelief and brought to the point where she looks up to God and seeks her Messiah.

Newsflash. The ideas of the rapture are relatively new compared to older conclusions from the Bible. It's not Biblical. Papias was the one who brought the idea of the rapture to mind...and everyone in his day thought he was crazy.

Great White Throne is the resurrection unto condemnation. The rapture is the first resurrection of those who are resurrected unto eternal life. Those who are not dead are translated their bodies changed and they go into the presence of the Lord.

You say that but it is obvious that you misunderstand what those scriptures say. If you call for the rocks to fall on you to hide you what happens? Not that you command the rocks and they would obey you but buried under rocks does not seem healthy to me.

Those fleeing are desperate to escape but there is no escape even in death.

1 Cor 15 is the resurrection of those who inherit eternal life. The dead first then those who are alive are changed. Sounds just like the caught up in 1 Thess 4:13-18

Isaiah 26 is about Israel being delivered by Christ when He returns to the earth. This is not the rapture nor is it the GWT judgment. What is your point? Where do you fit in?

Roger,

This is a common misconception that almost every pre-rapture believer makes. Let me turn your attention to scripture.

Mat 24:

[SUP]15 [/SUP]When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

[SUP]
16-20 Skipped for this illustration
[/SUP]

[SUP]HERE IS THE START OF THE TRIBULATION[/SUP][SUP]

21 [/SUP]For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

[SUP]22 [/SUP]And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

[SUP]23 [/SUP]Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
[SUP]25 [/SUP]Behold, I have told you before.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
[SUP]27 [/SUP]For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
[SUP]28 [/SUP]For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

HERE IS THE END OF THE TRIBULATION

[SUP]29 [/SUP]Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

[SUP]30 [/SUP]And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
[SUP]31 [/SUP]And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

So, do you see anything in between the start and end that discusses the Wrath of God being poured out on the earth? Do you see any wars discussed here? Do you see mountains being thrown into the sea? Do you see trees and grass being burned up or locusts tormenting man here? What do you see? Let me tell you what I see. I see Jesus warning the heck out of us that at some point after the False Christ or Abomination appears, there will be Great Tribulation. Can you see clearly that the only bad thing happening is the deception of the False One?

The Tribulation is as John calls it, "The hour of temptation that will come upon the whole earth." In other words, the False One will tempt EVERYONE to worship him, declaring that he is Christ when he is really of Satan. That is the tribulation. The whole earth cannot be tempted if 1/3 of it is Raptured. The Rapture IS THE GREAT LIE OF SATAN which he will use to tempt those who ignore scripture and go out when Christ told them clearly, NOT TO GO OUT.

So Roger,

What do you believe concerning the 144,000? Are they unbelievers or weak Christians who didn't make the Rapture? Are you saying they were "Left Behind" as Hal Lindsey describes it? Let me show you what the Bible calls the 144,000.

[SUP]3 [/SUP]Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

[SUP]4 [/SUP]And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

"...a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

[SUP]3 [/SUP]And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

[SUP]
4 [/SUP]These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are (spiritual) virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

[SUP]
5 [/SUP]And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

[SUP]14 [/SUP]These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Are servants of God sealed and protected after they didn't measure up to the Rapture?

Do those who are not worthy to be raptured have their Father's name written on their foreheads?

Do weak Christians not worthy to be rapture get to sing a new song that nobody else knows?

Virgins in this context means, never followed False Christs or False Religions. They are spiritually pure. So why would they not be Raptured and forced to go through Jacob's Trouble?

Do weak Christians unworthy of the Rapture get to follow the Lamb wherever He goes when the Lamb returns (assuming a rapture) instead of that blessed Raptured Church?

Are weak Christians unworthy of the Rapture considered Firstfruits? Firstfruits is a term most often representing the Cream of the Crop. They are the first to be harvested and given to God. Read 1 Cor 15:20-24. Yet according to the Rapture theory, these 144,000 weren't redeemed first from earth. They didn't make the grade.

Are weak Christians unworthy of the Rapture considered having no fault and blameless before God?

Are weak Christians unworthy of the Rapture considered CHOSEN AND FAITHFUL? They couldn't be very faithful if they didn't make the Rapture cut.
