Thanks. I will do more research to finally come up with the truth. I just feel like christianity isn't as simple as Judaism and islam.
actually your right.

it takes more humility to come to the cross broken, then to work all your life trying to be the best you can be, thinking you will make it.
'
the sad part is, the very law which they both are abaying proves that they would never be good enough to make it.

It it is not doubt all three religions have the same god and follow the same people.
not true., they do not have the same God. not even close. They claim they do. but we have very different Gods. and only one of them is a true God of love.

i am just too curious why our christian brothers and sisters hate our muslim brothers and sisters.
They just live by the book and have been doing so for 1500 years..
I hate no one, I want them all to come to truth. But jews (unsaved) and muslims are not my brother. In fact muslims want me dead. and a jew would call me an unclean gentile who is the filth of the earth.

we use to live by the book then fell apart from it as being our laws...

Theyre basically living how we use too. We'll our ancestors at least

They are living like the people who crucified Christ.

If you think this is what God wants, you have yet to know who and what God is.

althought I don't agree with Muslims for cutting hands for stealing, killing the ones who rape, stoning nonvirgin women, but it just seems they are still living as the REAL law says to

our bible mentions to do all the things they CURRENTLY do.. Maybe we just fell downhill as they continued following god

Our bible says that unless from birth you have obeyed every letter of the law withour screwing up even once (sin) you are worthy of condemnation, and you are dead (separated from God) . And without being made alive (born again) you will not have the ability to relate with God and will be condemned, because you have not lived to the standard God required by the law.

I am only able to comprehend your car allegory partially, I think because I see law so differently from how you see it. I see the car compared to us as something God created and knows all about. God gives an instruction manual on how it should be operated and cared for, that is the law. When Christ came, God gave a special way of understanding this manual, these are the people who are born again. When people only go by this inborn way of understanding without also reading the instruction manual, they still can't drive the car well. If the car breaks down because it isn't driven correctly, we can go to the maker and He repairs the car after we tell Him we won't do that again. We are still going to get in trouble over and over if we won't read the manual and follow it.

one --- the three religions do not have the same God,, islam has a little moon god straight from hell and we do not hate the people but the perversion of islam that wants to kill all the infidels that is wipe the Jews from the face of the earth and the evil Americans with them. your view of islam is thru very rose colored glasses,, also they treat their women like cattle, no respect shown

Well don't believe that Muslims want you dead because my
brother doesn't want you dead. And he is a muslim

My neighbors who are Muslim are the only ones on the block who formally introduced us into neighborhood when first
moved. They don't want me dead.

We can't blame all Muslims for one million. My neighbors don't blame hitler for Christianity

As I said, we see it differently.

The instruction manual is God himself. and all we see him do. His love, His longsuffering, His sacrifice etc etc. It is not about him, but us, That is how he created us, and how he wired us to be.

The law (in your example) would be a troubleshooting guide, to see what is wrong. Not the repair guide.

Again. Thou shalt not covet. Does it tell us HOW to do it? or, as it is written, can it just show us if we have done it or not?

lol. He does not know his quaran then. And he is not a devout muslim.

The quaran says all unbelievers should be killed if they do not repent. And allah is behind it.

So. That means your neighbor is perfect in the eyes of God? And worthy of eternal life?

According to the law of God. if your neighbor has one sin, he is doomed. Nothing he can do to save himself.

He rejects the messiah sent to the world who took his payment. Thus according to God your neighbor is dead to him with no hope.

Differently, but I think we are getting closer. Only God can repair, but we still need an operating manual. And we have the Holy Spirit to lead us when we "Thou shalt not covet". We need the Holy Spirit to teach us, and we need the word also to guide us. Either one without the other is inadequate.

Yes I think we are.

WHere again we differ is you see do not covet, So you think that tells you how not to do it

I see I love my neighbor more than myself. (seek the thinghs of the spirit) So I would not even think of coveting what God has given them, I would praise God for blessing them.

But should I make a mistake and want what they have, I have the law "do not covet" to prove I was in sin, (looking to the flesh) and still in need of a savior. But at the same time, I have the Gospel of Christ, which tells me he loves me, and will not disown me because I have failed.

Thats why paul calls the law flesh,

This I do not have to judge myself, because God will not judge me, and I can move on. and try harder to look outward next time, and not inward (this as I said, the law is to self.)

well my friend, when a muslim is being nice and all that good neighbor stuff just remember this

Qur'an (3:28) - This verse tells Muslims not to take those outside the faith as friends, unless it is to "guard themselves."

from this site

TheReligionofPeace - Islam: Taqiyya and Lying

which boils down to the fact you cannot trust them

Layre333, at the risk of sounding redundant, if you submit to Acts 2:38-39 baptism I believe all your questions will melt away in the glory of God!

Does jesus not say to kill all the unbelievers as well?
Matt. 10:34 "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth, but a sword."
Luke 19:27 "But as for these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slaughter them before me.’”

even if it says that. Not all Muslims do it. Idk what you have against them.

What at about the Christians that shoot up schools, rape, kill, EVERYSINGLE DAMN day here in the states.

Why hey don't we say they are not Christians.

The quran ran also mentions if you take one innocent soul it's as you killed everyone in the world. If you save one soul it's as you've saved everyone.

You do not follow jesus because you don't follow his teachings.
You follow what you are told because your an idiot that is selfish.
God doesn't like people like you

No he does not. He says to love them, and by your love hopefully you will show them him, and they will come to him.

Matt. 10:34 "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth, but a sword."
Luke 19:27 "But as for these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slaughter them before me.’”
This is talking about the end not then.

The jews were his enemy, he did not kill them/ Think for a change

I have nothing against the people. I love them. I have something against their religion, which is sending people to eternal hell.

Not everyone who calls himself christian represents God. I already told you that.

Why hey don't we say they are not Christians.

The quran ran also mentions if you take one innocent soul it's as you killed everyone in the world. If you save one soul it's as you've saved everyone.

The quaran also tells you who that innocent soul is. It is mislim. ANy non muslim is not innocent.

God doesn't like people like you
And you probably just bought your way out of this chatroom. Because of your attitude.

You do not know me ANd you certainly are not looking for truth.

Jesus says not to eat pork. Yet Christians go against it

how could you not say, Muslims probably go against many verses in the Quran as we do

i believe too many Christians. Muslims. And other people in this world are hypocritical liars
they are to dumb to acknowledge other people. Therefore there is so much violence in this world, but this is something that will never change. So it's up to EVERYSINGLE individual to know the truth For themselves. Do hate Muslims because your neighbors do. Don't hate christians because your neighbors do.

If only people understand my point of view of what I am trying to say ://

do you want hitler representing Christianity. Or the highway killer of 1980 who rapes and killed children... Or many of the thousands of murderers here in the states today and across the world who are Christians. Of course not.
we just are to dull to see that even us are not perfect

god mentions if you believe in Abraham as one of the forefathers than you believe in me.

Muslims pray for abraham in every prayer.

They are our brothers. Just because they speak in a different language and you ONLY hear of the bad ones and not the BILLION of good ones, doesn't mean you treat them not equal. Learn for yourself. See the videos of true peaceful Muslims on youtube.

My my choice to convert to islam will be tonight. And unless one good christian can give me a clear point from the bible or quran that shows me not too I will stay.

But these verses must not have other verses that say the complete opposite.

Bless you all

Hitler was an atheist, so no I do not want him representing Christianity.

Come now, you are already a Muslim. Don't try and say you are thinking of praying the prayer you have already prayed. ;)

Please tell me where Jesus says not to eat pork.
Deuteronomy 14:8
The pig is also unclean; although it has a divided hoof, it does not chew the cud. You are not to eat their meat or touch their carcasses.

Also, you see all the women in islam covering their head...
Jesus tells chrisitian women to do also yet they dont

What does Deuteronomy 12:15 mean to you?

regardless, we are under the New Covenant. (Jeremiah 31)

Also, the Bible says women shouldn't PRAY with their heads uncovered. And that her hair is a covering. It doesn't say to walk around with their heads covered all the time.

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. (NIV, Matthew 5:17–18)
Hes specifically saying the old testament laws are still intact.

--------
Old Testament: Exodus 21:24
eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,
Then later in the New Testament: Matthew 5:38-48
38 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ 39 But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. 40 And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. 41 If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. 42 Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
These two obviously conflict each other. So I ask again. Does the New Testament override the oldOr is h?

Or is he just FULFILLING the OLD TESTAMENT, he never did abolish it

If you follow jesus, you will follow this
‘The Scripture cannot be broken’ (John 10:35)

-------------
Corinthians 11:6
"For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head."

A few verses after he mentions about prayer, here he is stating
11:13
"
Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?" He asks, doesnt Command as the first verse

not sure that this is still on topic at this point, haha, but ..

i'm not sure why anyone living would think that America as a nation has ever moved in any direction other than away from the Bible at any point in their lifetime.
