I have one per ear but I no longer wear earrings nor will I have anymore down the road. I use to love them. Its just not something I like anymore. I know some people don't wear earrings because they feel it harms the body. But I'm not so sure about all that.

We are all entitled to our personal preferences, and this is what it's entirely about. Does your mom have them, maybe?

The Lord Himself gave earrings to Zion in Ezekiel 16.

Blessings.

Oh yes I know. Everyone has their own opinion.
And yes She has many. 6 in one ear and 7 in the other.

Oh does she? well, I'm sure your mom's 6 - 7 are really nice, anyway. Multiples are a well established custom, anyhow.

Blessings.

Yeah a lot of people now days have many and some are pretty cool.
I use to want many myself but it seems the more I thought about it the less I wanted them. Its funny how my mind works.

Well, maybe you saw your mom's and for a while wanted to do similarly. Blessings.

I have two, since I was 16. I usually wear white gold sleepers, because they are easy to sleep in. But I have a multitude of colours, sizes and shapes. To match or contrast with every outfit. I have been collecting earring for years, but sometimes a really unique pair breaks, which then breaks my heart.

I am not sure if they are Biblical, but I like them. My mom wouldn't let me get them pierced when I was young, and all my friends were doing it. When I went out on my own, the first thing I did was get them pierced. Then my mom not only turned around and pierced her ears, but also my 9 year old sister. Talk about the oldest sibling losing out!

She admitted they are so much nicer and easier to wear than clip ons, and she has worn them ever since. One in each ear, of course. She is in her 80's.

Nice, personal story! :)

When you say 2, do you mean 2 in each ear or 2 altogether?

What you said about your mom's sudden change of mind made me smile. Presumably it was when she saw yours!

(In Ezekiel 16.12 the Lord gives earrings to Zion.)

Blessings.

Yeah a lot of people now days have many ...
PS: Pres19: Teen daughters and their moms were starting to get doubles done together in the late 1970s. For example, a daughter aged 18 in 1979 and her mom aged 45, would now be aged 53 and 80. So clearly multiples are a very thoroughly established custom for all ages: only for those who want them, of course. Blessings.

Yeah that is very true but I wasn't just talking about earrings when I said that. I just meant now days people have many all over. Ears, lips, toung, belly and eyebrow. I know some places did it as a sign of manhood or something like that but now it's all over. I'm not saying I have anything against it though.

Did you know that the Lord is recorded as giving Zion a nose ring in Ezekiel 16?

Blessings.

Does that make you slightly lop(e) sided?
Symmetricality used to be regarded as essential, especially in the days when one only was put each side. But for decades now different customs have prevailed for many people.

Yes I read that not to long ago.
Wasn't it a jewel for his nose, earrings for his ear, and beautiful (I believe that's the word used) crown for his head?

Yes I had at one point wanted 4 in each ear. But I had also wanted my lips done as well.

Well, a ring in each lobe followed by 2 or 3 studs behind, is often a preference followed, isn't it. So you mean like a labret for the lower one and a monroe for the upper? Blessings.

Well two in each lobe and two in the top of each ear.
