I'm surprised no one has said it yet, so I guess I'll go ahead and be the bad guy.:p

While Jesus' resurrection is certainly vital, monumental and pivotal......

It's not Biblical.
It's not commanded anywhere in Scripture to anyone.
If it wasn't for pagan/"christian" syncretism, no one would be celebrating it today.

I know of plenty of awesome, spirit-filled Believers who celebrate it with good intentions, so that's between them and God.
Just know that it's not a Biblical holiday.

The resurrection is not biblical? I don't think you mean that from reading your other posts.

The Easter celebration of this truth is a Christianized pagan holiday started to make all things considered Jewish wrong to do, the Passover celebration of this was suggested by scripture. Almost everyone agrees about that, even those who defend Easter as a preferable celebration of the resurrection than Passover. And Jews celebrate Passover without understanding that Christ came the first time for our salvation. The second time will be to judge and establish His absolute rule. We celebrate it to rejoice in the Savior's first coming.

The resurrection IS biblical. Verse after verse after verse tells of it. It is the theme of the entire bible.

No, and they won't until Christians will read their bible and relate it to what actually has happened in our world. The world does not want the truth to be told at all, but God wants it told.

The resurrection itself is definitely Biblical. Absolutely.

I was referring to the celebration of Easter not being Biblical.

Sorry for the confusion.

Mothers Day isn't biblical, neither is Black History Month, neither is the 4th of July or Cinco Dey Mayo, neither is Appreciate a Dragon Day or Thesaurus Day, neither is National Cashew Day or Buy Nothing Day the day that comes after Black Friday. Don't forget Applesauce Cake Day and Name Your Poison Day.

The easter rabbit wasn't nailed to a cross, Jesus Christ the Son of God was. I can still eat chocolate eggs and believe the Son of God died for my sins and rose again to sit at the right hand of God.

There I said it.

I guess now I am the bad guy too.

That is a wonderful idea!! You go off in another corner and color your eggs in honor of the fertility Goddess and let us alone with our Savior.

Jesus Christ created fertility and the egg. So what are you gonna do with that?

Ahhh, but the difference is that none of those days pretend to be about God.

And God loves fun and holidays. Only don't use these secular holidays to masquerade as worship ones if you belong to the Lord, that is for outsiders to do. Things to honor a fertility goddess have no place in honoring our Lord's resurrection.

I highly doubt any one is honoring a fertility goddess here.

I believe I saw this topic 40 years ago when CC was communicated by telegram. Before CC they used pigeon mail but there were so much hostility the pigeons never returned home.

Exactly.
What are you gonna do with that?
He created tree which gives us wood and He created ore which gives us metal and from metal man makes chisel.
What are we gonna do with that?
