What topic? I agreed with your point. We are the ones cast out as we continue to die.

Christians die because they do not believe for full salvation of illumination Spirit, Soul, and Body.

The "Body of Christ" ? Christ is the Resurrection!! They are dying like mere men because they are not "transformed by the renewing of their minds" - they continue to live in the mortal mind and do not move into the Immortal Mind of Chirst. (I Cor 2:16). The Carnel mind is death, the Spiritual Mind is Life and Peace (Rom 8:6).

Another thread taking the saving power out of God's hands and putting into man's. I wonder if any of these trolls really believe this stuff? What part of the "NOT BY GOOD WORKS" do they not understand.

If you look at these people's doctrine you will start to see a pattern. It is ALL them. Sure, God got their foot into the door of Heaven, but from there on out after asking to be saved it was THEM who KEPT their salvation, Jesus' work on the cross stops after they believe and they took over the steering wheel.

I trust God to save me AND keep me. If being saved was left up to any of us after we first believed we wouldn't make it. And how do these people KNOW deep down in their souls they lived a good enough life? Their faith is works based and we know they are not putting ALL of their trust in the Lord.

Can such works based faith save a man? I don't want to judge, but it doesn't look good.

When God looks at these individuals one day when they are standing at his throne, what are they going to say?

It was I who continued to live right.

It was I who stayed away from sin.

It was I who lived blamelessly.

It was I who resisted temptation.

IT WAS I THAT KEPT MYSELF SAVED!

It all then starts to sound eerily similar to another certain 5 "I's" depicted in Isaiah.

I couldn't imagine saying that to a Holy God. Ever. Me? KEEPING myself saved? Never. Did I try to avoid sin? Yes. Did I stumble sometimes? Yes. Did I backslide sometimes in my youth or even as an adult? Yes. Did I stay in that state and never try to get up and out of the mire? NO! We Christians never feel comfortable living in sin. It will nag at our conscience until we do turn back to God. That there is the very evidence that you are saved!

OP you are taking credit when Jesus deserves it ALL.

Let's KEEP our focus on Him and all that HE DID for us. The things we never were able to do.

Notice the lack of scripture above (none), and not addressing the scriptures given in this thread.

It's called Working out your own salvation - Phil 2:12

Laboring to enter His Rest - Heb 4:11

Jesus said, this is the WORK OF GOD - to believe INTO Me (John 6:27-29).

Even if I gave you 15-20 different scriptures supporting what I said you wouldn't believe it. You would just twist it.

I do not get on my knees. My mind is such that I have access directly.
So dearly beloved believer of CHRIST, then actually how do you pray, sitting or standing? If you do not mind, i would like to know how the Spirit, the anointing in you have directed you in this matter?

Thank you and GOD in CHRIST bless you.

Start with just one. And in the process, you can try to address at least one that has been provided.
When I hear "twisted", I say, Yeah, I twist it so tight, you won't be able to breathe

OP do you think King Solomon, King David, Lot, Noah went to heaven? They all did some questionable and some downright detestable things but God still saved them and even used them in great ways.

Stop with this nonsense of works based salvation.

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

And yes, please, go ahead and twist it so tight that I can't breathe.

It's a simple misunderstanding that salvation is a process - Spirit, Soul, and Body. I Thess 5:23 - a scripture those in this thread are not addressing.

Start with Phil 2:12 WORKING OUT YOUR OWN SALVATION.

The consternation is you think you are being saved from a "cunningly devised fable" called Eternal Damnation.

How many good works do you have to do in order to be saved? What is the cut off line where if you didn't quite measure off you go to hell?

I pray with my thoughts. No show us needed as I keep it to myself from the closet in my mind.

1. Please address the scriptures provided in this thread.

2. When you use the name "Hell" (which comes from Norse Mythology - Hel, the goddess of the underworld), do you mean hades, gehenna, or tarturus? the greek words that have had the name Hell placed on them?

What of non-Christians? We all die because we still sin. We live in a world who rejects the unity of mankind for whatever reason; that rejects a one world government for whatever reason, but look for Christ to do the same? Hypocracy at its best!

Yes. If you do not obey Jesus to "Be Perfect as your Heavenly Father is Perfect" (Matthew 5:48) - "Going onto Perfection" (Hebrews 6:1).

Carnal Christians still like their Bumper Sticker Theology - "Christians arn't Perfect, Just Forgiven".

How demonic and Anti-Christ - truly, "there are many Anti-Christs" - I John 2:18

Yes, we must be perfect. I only ask what does that mean to God?

If you want me to take you seriously you have to have supporting evidence that salvation is indeed works based (you must work to keep your salvation) and you have to give me a cut off line where you know you made it to Heaven...or else every scripture about knowing you are saved (1john 5:3, Rom 8:1 etc., etc.) is wrong. that is important.
Now can you share with me the cut off line where I know I can be saved if I keep myself from sin enough?

"perfect"? Perfect as in every thought and deed must be as Christ did when He lived on earth?

No thought sin, no anger sin etc?

Give me a break.

Salvation of your Spirit is free - Salvation of your Soul and Body, you must work for by Sowing to the Spirit.

Until you acknowledge I Thessalonians 5:23 and quit hiding behind behind your tradition, you wont get it.

Is that what "perfect" means to you? That's NOT what it means to God. "Be ye perfect, as I am" says the Lord.

I think you are misinterpreting Phil 2:12 as works based salvation.
A Sermon: “Grace Works” Philippians 2:12-13
What does it mean to work out salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12)?
