Quest,

Many of us here have both sympathy and empathy for you; and agree you were terribly hurt.

The Lord wants to help you get past this and give you something much better.

It seems that you (intentionally or not) are deciding to live in your pain instead of allowing yourself to heal and move on.

Your former fiance has proved himself to be a despicable jerK! The longer you expect him to be anything else, the more pain you bring on yourself

If you want to get past the pain and discover the good things God has for you:

You need to forgive him (NOT FOR HIS SAKE BUT FOR YOURS), and forget him, and take your attention off of him.

Since his family has connections with yours; you must treat him as if you never had any feelings for him.

Let the Lord show you what HE wants for you. You will be pleased with that.

I continue to pray that all of these feelings are washed away. I hadnt dated much, so i tell myself that this was my crash course. I experienced everything in it. Very painful stuff but what am i not ready for now?

I have a visual of putting this main in a trash bag, tying it and putting the bag into a shredder. That is what he is. A faithful, honest, transparent, diverse, god loving man is on his way to me. I will continue to build a good life for the right man to join, not improve but join
This is very wise. As my pastor once said "There are more good people than wicked one."

Forgiveness is not the same as for someone to be permitted to take back your full trust in them. As a saying goes, forgive but never forget.

Obviously your (ex?) husband has commitment issues and it is not in any way your fault or need to intervene. He has the decision to walk away from such thing and own up to his responsibility to any children that are biologically his through the cheating, as for one. Personally I wouldn't bring him back in as a husband, but that's left up to you as long as you're certain that it's the wise decision to make.

Thank you for the observation. I will take this advice. I am going to try to stop rehashing what happened

You made the right decision, forgiving him. I´m deeply sorry to know this happened to you. Truly! Concentrate your life in Jesus even more and allow Him to take control.

May God bless you, dear sister!

The thing to do now is pray that the Lord will show you what He has next for you; and be open to receive whatever it is!

He has certainly been known to do that. But you need to be careful because it is also true that not all dreams are communication from God.

I didnt know symptoms had to be present before it could be detected.

I have had conversations with the Lord aboutt the premarital thing
Im 14 so i guess i have no right to be posting. All I wanted to do was show my support to you. I know im young but to me your fiance sounded weak and devious. I dont think you have anything to seek forgiveness over, and I just wanted to say i hope u move on n have the BEST life.... hugs

Zoli,

Your empathy and compassion contribute as much to this forum (or any forum) as all the sound doctrine and wisdom any of us can bring. Sound doctrine will come; probably very quickly if you continue on the forum.

1Cor chapter 13 often gets buried under 'sound doctrine' and your empathy and compassion are refreshing.

You have more right to be posting than a great many of us who are much older than you.

Please don't go away!

I ran into his mother while i was out shopping. She stopped me and had small talk, hugged me and spoke on how pretty I am. It was weird but was nice at the same time.

I saw him at a friends house. We greeted. I kept it civil. He appears fine. Why does that bother me

Quest,

If his family isn't letting the breach between you and him effect their relationship with them; they are doing right.

Perhaps they don't approve of his behavior either.
