Does that mean he no longer listens to the LORD, only public opinion????
Yes. You got it. That's exactly right. It all comes down to public opinion ... that's where the money is, eventually that is the issue.

It's also where politicians get their votes from!

true, but a simple Google inquiry would have pre-empted a giggle fest. :)
No worries Cross. We'll all start flooding our posts with local slang or acronyms.
And expect others to race off to Google every time to work out what we're on about.

OnceFallen clarified helpfully, kindly, promptly and with good grace - which I appreciated.

If you dont think thr Pope is ok with homosexual marriage look at his recent appointment:

In Latin America, where Catholic traditions and conservative governments tend to be anti-gay, Brazil, Uruguay, the Pope's native Argentina and the Federal District of Mexico City have passed laws allowing same sex marriages. Last week, the Pope appointed a liberal Dominican priest, Father Timothy Radcliffe, as consultor for the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace. The Englishman is an outspoken proponent of gay rights – another sign, some say, that Pope Francis is showing willingness to take a more inclusive stance on the issue.

Hey you know in the begining "HE" created Adam and Eve , not Adam and Steve! lol I talked to a dude that was a doctor at blood donor place and he said that the AIDES virus was like an epidemic too. And it is predominantly within the gay community as well is what he informed me . He should know he is a doctor I told him.

Where do they get the root for the word "Sodomy? Is it from Sodom where God destroyed the city with fire from heaven?

What people do behind closed doors is between themselves and God and if they choose to live with someone the same sex it is my view that their "partner" should have some kind of legal rights but to rub our noses in it and call it a marriage is an insult to those in traditional marriages and to God. Please don't call it a marriage because it isn't. The main stumbling block as I see it is that homosexual unions cannot produce children and therefore if we were all gay there would be no next generation.

God knows what He is doing, we often fight Him and disobey Him but He always turns out to be 100% correct - why wouldn't He be He - He is THE creator.

"One can but hope" that the best-known leader of any Christian congregation will speak out to endorse that which God condemns? Interesting ...

The most common reason given by the homosexual community for "needing" legalized gay marriage is for the legal rights such as end of life decisions, medical decisions, and property inheritance. The thing is that those rights are already afforded in those states that allow for civil unions, and for those states that don't a couple of legal documents that can readily be sourced online that will take care of all of it. I know of numerous straight couples who have chosen to not get "legally" married that have done just that.

I can only think of two legitimate reasons for the gay community to fight for legalized gay marriage. First and foremost, once gay marriage is legalized it "legitimizes" their choices and within a generation a large percentage of society will just begin to accept it as normal. The other reason is that once gay couples can be married one partner can confer their employer supplied medical insurance to their partner which will end up driving up insurance costs for the rest of us because their lifestyle is inherently unhealthy.

This all leads to the next step, which is churches either being made legally to perform wedding ceremonies or they will have consequences if they do not comply. That will be next, because that is what the gay community wants, its not enough to have their "marriages" legalized, because they want it accepted even in churches. I know it is accepted in some churches, but it is not law to have to perform the wedding ceremonies.... not yet.

I would say all of the former POOPS as well as the current one support some sort of gay lifestyle, since the have been harboring homosexual pedophiles for decades. Just a open question. Can someone tell me how many of these homosexual pedophiles have ever been excommunicated for their sins, or were they just hidden away in a closet somewhere?

Top scholars--like the late John Boswell of Yale,
Daniel Boyarin of Berkeley,
Bernadette Brooten of Brandeis,
L.William Countryman of the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley,
Victor P. Furnish of SMU,
Saul M. Olyan of Brown and
Robin Scruggs of Union Theological Seminary--
show that those who perceive Bible passages as condemning homosexuality are being misled by faulty translation and poor interpretation......
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/188636009X/jesusmetropolita

Jesus refers to "eunuchs who have been so from birth."
This terminology ("born eunuchs") was used in the ancient world to refer to homosexual men.
Jesus indicates that being a "born eunuch" is a gift from God.

" For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. ” (Matthew 19:11-12)

Some Christians confidently assert that God did not create homosexual people "that way."
This is important because they realize if God did create gays "that way," rejecting them would be tantamount to rejecting God’s work in creation.

My original response pertained to Homosexual marriages, not eunuchs
Romans 1:21-28King James Version (KJV)

What some so called Christians confidently assert is of no consequence to me. I believe what is written in the Holy Scriptures.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
[SUP]23 [/SUP]And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
[SUP]25 [/SUP]Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
[SUP]27 [/SUP]And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
[SUP]28 [/SUP]And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Jude 1:6-8King James Version (KJV)
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Leviticus 20:15-16King James Version (KJV)
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

I believe what is written in the Holy Scriptures.
And you are perfectly entitled to that belief, Shadow.
(There are still those who believe the world is flat).

But many (not all) eminent scholars and theologians, from top colleges and seminaries, have made the study of scripture and ancient languages their life's work.
They have accessed the earliest known texts, sought out consistency in translation and interpretation.
Their work has been subjected to the critique of their peers.

I merely suggest that if they have concluded that
(1) The terminology "born eunuchs" was used in the ancient world to refer to homosexual men.
and that
(2) Bible passages condemning homosexuality are .... faulty translation and poor interpretation......

then their conclusions should given at least as much weight as your belief based on .... ?

So I assume by your response that you also believe the Bible is faulty and that Romans 1:27 [SUP] [/SUP]And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet, is a poor interpretation as well.
Therefore
my response to this bit of shocking news that "Bible passages condemning homosexuality are .... faulty translation and poor interpretation" Is that some alleged scholars use statements such as this to advocate there own personal agendas. Lastly, and inclosing, I will leave you with this pearl of wisdom. Opinions such as these are like rectums, everyone has one, some just smell worse than others.

speaking as an Irish woman here and who has lived her all her life. MOST catholics are not practising and dont go to a church unless its for christmas easter or a baptism and live a VERY SECULAR lifestyle. I was brought up roman catholic but got lived a sinful life until JESUS in his love and wisdom saved me and now i walk with Jesus by grace ALONE through faith ALONE. it is not by works lest no man should boast. We have secular protestants here as well who in name are only that. we also have many sects and cults here too. yes indeed when my mother was growing up Ireland was VERY VERY religious BUT they still fornicated got drunk and did other sins too. Homosexuality was against the law. BUT remember the bible says this the last days will become more and more wicked. They will call good evil and evil good and we are now seeing this happening not just in Ireland but all over the world. When i found out that the homosexual law was put through. I FELT SICK to my stomach NOT FOR ME but for the little children who will grow up believing this is somehow normal. Ireland really NOT the land of catholism anymore but more of a secular society that hold to a form of relgion but dont believe in its power. They give god words but their hearts are far from him. Please pray for Irish people. We have a tiny remant of believers here. we covet your love and prayers much love in Christ settled

The Day Jesus Saved My Life
By Scott Laney

My mother had a premonition. The night before my accident, she felt something bad was going to happen to me. She felt it so strongly that she prayed: “Whatever it takes, save him God. And please hold, protect and heal him. Please forgive and help us God. You’re the only way.”

My mother prayed for her son because she wasn’t sure I would go to heaven and she didn’t know the time she might lose me forever. That was her fear so she prayed. “God whatever it takes to save him do it please!!! I am powerless to save him. I have failed at the job of a parent to secure him. This gift you have given me… I give back to your hands. Please take him and save him."

And that is when God’s hand moved.

I worked on Alaska’s NorthSlope as a drilling floorhand. Over one year I once made $100,000. I had worked my way up to this position over 5 years.

My jobs still waiting for me. On the fateful day, I was heading to my grandmother's house on Knik Goose-Bay (KGB) Road at 3:20 a.m. February 7, 2014, I hit and killed a moose. I called the police and stood by until they arrived. Seven hours later I was hit by a car--just as that moose had been hit and killed--but I was saved by Jesus.

The events unfolded on Feb. 7, 2014, when I jumped into my car and noticed it was low on gas. Just in case I might run out, I ran inside for a gas can before heading to the gas station on KGB Road. I did run out of gas in Wasilla, which required calling my buddy, Danny Smith, to help me out. While he was en route, I turned on my car’s safety blinkers, grabbed the gas can, and started walking toward the gas station. Soon I saw some headlights coming toward me, so I started waving my arms. I was at mile 8.4 and hoped this person might stop to help me out.

The driver of the car coming toward me was blind in one eye. As Danny came on the scene, he could see me on the other side of the white line on the side of the road—about seven car lengths in front of where my car was flashing in the night. About that same moment the half-blind driver hit me going 60 mph at approximately 5:20am.

The impact of this collision broke both legs, my left arm, and caused a concussion. My brain began hemorrhaging. I had blood in my mouth and couldn’t breathe. My buddy ran to me, tipped me over to drain the blood, and comforted me until the ambulance arrived 30 minutes later.

My friend had been there to help me. When the ambulance finally arrived, the EMTs told Danny to leave. He said: “No that's my brother!” My mother later told me I had no bruises on my body. Danny was upset--he told me we waited for an ambulance for 30 minutes! He said I died for 30 minutes, and I remember walking on clouds and jogging and seeing Heaven's gates, thinking I was going to go in. I should have died, but when the ambulance came I don't remember anything about what was happening. I remember seeing Jesus Christ, and he carried me into the ambulance. Then I remember feeling something weird on my chest, so I looked down and there was something gold / yellow glowing on my chest and Jesus was healing me and protecting me from death. I still remember what Jesus looked like--I have a picture of him on the wall at home. My mother had prayed for me the night before--prayed that Jesus would be with me and hold me--and he was! My aunt told me that when I got to the hospital I was still awake and I told her and my sister three times that Jesus had saved me!

I have been telling everyone I meet about my story, urging them not to let anyone walk on the side of the road unless they are on a sidewalk. I tell everyone to call me to find out more. My number is: 907-355-7244. Now I'm walking with a cane, or walker. My physical therapist told me recently that I was improving quickly using my cane. I know I'm getting better every day, but I have at least one more year of healing to go before returning to the life I had before the accident.

There are many other tragedies on KGB Road. When I told my neighbor this story he told me that his own nephew was walking down KGB Rd one year previous to my event, was also hit by a car, and died. That driver never stopped and was never apprehended although that person wrote a letter of apology that was read at the victim’s funeral. I can't walk without aides yet, but I have seen that heavens gates! They were made of a really expensive red wood with black lines and white plate gold everywhere. There are yellow trees from left to right as far as the eye can see. My therapist said it will likely take between 2-5 years before I'll walk without assistance. again. After almost one year in physical therapy I walked 60 steps before they made me sit down.

Because I suffered Traumatic Brain Injury, I cannot drink alcohol. My mom told me in the hospital that I could see Jesus. I don't remember that specifically, but I guess I told her I could see him sitting in my room.

God says to forgive or you won't be forgiven so we forgave Sandra, my old care coordinator, because for one year she told us she didn't know why Medicaid hasn't paid anything yet. We found out that she didn't turn in any of my paperwork. My mom was about to stop getting paid her benefits, because of this, so we fired her.

My life has changed dramatically because of what happened to me that night on KGB Road. I will be facing many challenges with the help of Jesus.

Heavens gates looked like this to me. But I was standing on clouds & there were trees that went on as far as the eye could see. And there was red wood with black lines on it & the cross was made out of white gold and up above was a whole lot of twisty bars made out of white gold & it was very bright behind the gates.

And Jesus is on Google if you google pictures of Jesus then go to 200 pictures and the 4th row down all the way on the left that's exactly what he looked like to me.

Someone somewhere and at sometime will want to marry their dog/cat/whatever.
Google search '12 unbelievable people who married animals', 'woman marries own horse, creates legal precedent', and 'man marries guitar', yikes, lol.
