This BrightLight guy sent me an email stating the same stuff as he placed on this forum. I am not sure why as I haven't even been involved in this discussion.
Regardless, here's a paper that I did on this subject that proves Jesus is God. In addition, I would recommend the book Forgotten Trinity by James White. It covers this subject in depth.
A false dichotomy is being presented by him. Either Jesus is the Son of God, or he's God. He's both!
It's like saying either you like butter pecan ice cream or chocolate ice cream. I like both.

God is plural in the Bible.
We are told to worship one God.
Jesus says He and the Father are one and that Holy Spirit is God living in and working through His followers. Conclusion: The Bible describes one God in three persons.
