OH, your post was just your unasked opinion. Now we understand...Everyone has an opinion...but it is a waste to share it here for it only divides. What we need to share here is testimony, words of encouragement and spiritual growth. Shared experiences can help others, etc. Nobody needs a busybody sharing uncalled for OPINIONS as if it really mattered. We should have enough common ground in CHRIST that we don't have to sit and post negativity..unless you are putting SATAN in his place! lol

That sounds kinda "new age" rc4l. Particularly because you profess you're not a Christian. Perhaps you should re-read the Christian Chat rules. Number 1 rule states:

1. Nothing anti-Christian, or inappropriate for a Christian chat room or forum.

Please do not try to register any blasphemous or offensive nicknames. Also please do not engage in any blasphemous, profane, or improper talk, or any talk that is offensive to our Christian community.

Also, please don't post any inappropriate links in your chat profile or in the forums, or in the chat rooms (e.g., links to anti-Christian sites, sites with inappropriate content, sites promoting other religions, cults, or doctrines contrary to the Bible).
Until I'm in mortal danger of not following the rules ill just continue on my journey.

I have heard the saying you can't judge a book by its cover. Sometimes people look more at whats on the outside than the inside. Gods looks at the inside of our heart and that is all that really matters.

Why does every Christian say that?

True that! Also keep in mind, "Out of the heart, the mouth speaks." Most times we are advertising what we are on the inside. Jesus said it's not what goes into a man that defiles him, but what comes from within him.

I doubt that Tintin, in the end they all know how and when to say it for some reason.
You seem to believe Christendom is one huge cult or something, where we practice secret handshakes and where we're told what to say to non-Christians. You'd be wrong.

Condemn and freely say that they shouldnt judge others is different

Im not judging anyone though...i have said that "u dont hear alot" not that I haven't heard anyone or seen people help others

It was simply my opinion on the subject if you want to be a grumpy grouch and take it offensively or negativly then okay

And good that you read the bible never said you didnt or that nobody has read the verse...what crawled up your arse today?
Boy, I'm so glad you're teaching us how not to judge. Will there be "your mama" insults next?

Back when I was young there was a bumper sticker that said, "Honk if you love Jesus." I know how I drive, so I was never foolish enough to stick one on my car, knowing full well, if someone did honk, I'd do sign language unbecoming a believer. It is wise to avoid our shortcomings. It's certainly wiser that preaching about them right before proving you have them.

Just a suggestion from someone who took a while to control my middle finger. lol

Shhh, he shouldn't know our secret handshake yet. Next thing you know, you'll be telling him the new secret password and about the lapel flower. You know the one that squirts people if they look too close. lol

(Kidding. Just kidding.)

It has it's own language which us non believers call christianese, but unless you step outside your club you'll never see how you sound.

I'm familiar with the term Christianese. And yes, I know how it sounds. Christians should avoid Christianese where possible, but the reality is that the Christian faith won't be understood by non-believers, unless Holy Spirit opens their eyes to the truth. Besides, I don't just hang out with Christians.

A lot of us have already been there and know exactly what Christians sound like from a non-believer's perspective. Not everyone has been a believer their whole life.

Justifiedgirl, I appreciated your post, it causes introspection and prayer to be more considerate of others.

I write like you, reflecting my thoughts as projection. I imagine you get passionate to help others in your community. As you adopt CC as another place to share your passion, I hope others will learn and be inspired, because you (and others) have good insight.

God gets the credit.

You do know the vast majority have been a member of your club, right? PCism. Worldly. Humanism. New Age. Politico-speak. We recognize that too. It's kind of like being on a merry-go-round. Lots of sound. Lots of movement. Lots of nothing said in the end. Just a shared experience. But the thrill dies quickly, and by the time the rides over nothing happened.

What about those of us that stepped out of your club into truth? Truth is truth even when you don't like it. You act like none of us came from "your world", I wasn't born to a Christian family, as a matter of fact guilt was the only reason I wasn't the 2nd abortion. I am sure I have thought things and done things that would make you look "christianese" in comparison. I don't fit the mold you make for us all. What do you say to one like me that was saved from your view, and that even after thinking I was a Christian for about 5 years as well. I have quite a bit of life experience in my 35 years and see your view as plain silly. You're not nearly as smart and "all knowing" as you think you are, and I can only say that knowing I've felt the same way. I've held your views and "fake Christian" views, and truth, so who has more experience to base these conclusions on.

Hang in there, Kid. In most ANY "Christian" forum you have to read, and reread, and change, then read again before posting.... then just HOPE. Nine times out of ten you are still going to be ripped a new one by SOMEBODY.

It also helps to actually know whereof you speak

I don't think it helps to pounce, but it seems the main purpose of some folks coming on a Christian forum is to TEACH rather then discuss

I'm not sure the op meant it that way, but for almost the first post, it's really not the way to go IMO

A better approach would be to ask questions

just my 2.5 cents

You have a point there. You really do.The Salvation Army is the best for that.Always in the heart of the city. Years ago I sang at a SA downtown Toronto. A place for addicts, prostitutes, homeless to come and get warm, have some food. It was a totally different experience for someone who had grown up in a Christian home.I believe a lot of times people dont feel comfortable in a church setting. The church use to be downtown. Its when they moved uptown that things began to fall apart.
