I like this mentality, pragmatism beats party pandering.

If you want someone that gets stuff done then do some research on Kasich. He has a long record of getting stuff done, and for the positive at that in both the House and as Governor. Quickly too! In his first term as Governor he pulled Ohio out of debt and into surplus, got the jobs coming back in, and got the infrastructure projects that languished under the Democrats back up and running. He also knows his place as servant of the people, not as a pseudo-dictator like how Bush and Obama ran things.

Let's just be blunt, Trump don't have a record, you don't what he'll do. Fiorina don't have a record, you don't know what she'll do. Carson don't have a record, don't know what he'll do. The other candidates, except Bush, got records, but they ain't got results. They been playing gridlock games with Obama the past few years. Kasich has a record and I know Kasich will get results because he all ready has and I didn't even vote for him the first time.
Kasich is a good man with good values and is of good discipline.

TRUMP's popularity stems from "WE are going plot a new course to be make America Great Again."
TRUMP's downfall is that he hasn't a frickin' clue how to do that.

The GOP old ways are KILLING the goose that laid the golden egg.
You're wrong. The "old ways" haven't killed anything. What is killing the goose is the effort to adopt the "new ideas" of their "big tent" philosophy that is nothing more than trying to win Everyman. We don't need Everyman. We just need the majority of Americans of the type who twice elected Ronald Reagan.

Oh it is NOT a rant out of anger, too old for that. It is frustration with the GOP talking a good game and DOING NOTHING, because they are more interested in maintaining the old Part line, so they get re-elected, while accomplishing NOTHING.
Well, Trump ain't the answer. And don't look now, but over the weekend, Dr. Carson tied him -- they're dead even in the polls at 23% each.

Did you know that Dr. Carson addressed Al Sharpton's National Action Network a few weeks ago? The crowd was initially restive and cool. By the end of his speech, he got a standing ovation. That's big tent thinking -- talking plain ol' common sense to people in a calm, cool, non-bombastic presentation. When people are presented with rationality and reason, even the ones who tend toward wild-eyed reactionary politics listen and accept what they hear, because it is rational and reasoned.

Dr. Carson had more answers in his 27-minute 2013 National Prayer Breakfast speech than The Donald has ever had in his entire life.

Kasich has NO Military Enlistment Experience, and that bothers me. I really have a hard time accepting anyone seeking to be Commander and Chief, who has NEVER BEEN IN THE MILITARY. I thought Mike Huckabee did, but when I looked it up, it was only ROTC in College. There are ONLY two Republican Candidates that actually were enlisted in the Military and those are Rick Perry and Lindsey Graham.

Graham — a South Carolina senator who has been in the military for 33 years and is in the Air Force Reserve — said he doesn’t think every president necessarily needs military experience, but argued it is an asset. "You get to walk in the shoes of the people who you’re going to be in charge of,” Graham told The DC by phone. “So that’s all good. It doesn’t mean you have to be in the military to be a good commander-in-chief. But I think having that experience is a positive.”

Perry, the former governor of Texas, flew planes in the Air Force.

“The governor has spoken quite a bit about how his time in the military has helped shape his world view,” Perry spokesperson Lucy Nashed said. “He has seen first hand the good done by America’s military around the world, and the importance of protecting freedom and American values through his time in the Air Force.”

So ...

You say your main issue is GOP "same ol' same ol' " ...

... then you say you'll have to give two of the longest-entrenched GOP politicians in the U.S. "... a SERIOUS look ... "?

Good grief, try to get your story straight, willya?

If you are trying to push me into an argument, by mis-quoting me, you will FAIL. I do not believe in arguing, and I will agree to disagree long before I get to the point of arguing.

NEVER HAVE I SAID I WANT TRUMP TO BE PRESIDENT, I said I understand why HE is so popular, while you do not even have a clue. I have been cheering for Mike Huckabee to run for President for YEARS. I just wish he had at least 4 years in the MILITARY, instead of ONLY ROTC in College.

Do I think Trump wants to be President? NOT REALLY, I think he really got involved to PUSH the Republican Politicians into paying attention to what US VOTERS WANT DONE. Republican Politicians in recent years have fallen into a rut, ignoring what we VOTERS consider IMPORTANT.

My personal opinion, is for some reason you have been willfully blind to the frustration of Republican VOTERS; and as such you would have fit right in with Politics as Usual bunch.

No matter all the hand wringing that goes on...Donald Trump is going to be our next president. I have not endorsed him.....I'm just saying it like it is. It won't matter if they have a bimbo parade or anything they try to do. He is outsmarting everyone and I believe he will continue to beat them at their own game.

. . .
Sure he knows, the same way he runs his businesses. Hire others to do the job, tell them to "Get'er done!"; and if they fail, FIRE THEM, and hire someone else.

He's clueless. And the fact you think his so-called "business acumen" -- the ability that was so great, he ran nine companies into four separate bankruptcies -- qualifies him to be president reveals that you are not just rightly attacking the GOP's "big tent" policies that have stagnated Congress, but actively a Trump supporter.

In other words, you're part of his reality-show mentality, and have the same level of reasoning and discernment as people who refuse to miss the newest episode of "Survivor." You're angry, and I get that. But just joining in a ranting, raving orgy of noise isn't solving problems, and that's all Trump is good at.

Trump can't even name the terrorist leaders whose names we hear and read every day:

Hewitt trips up Trump on foreign policy

With the second GOP debate only two weeks away, Donald Trump may need to do some cramming on foreign policy to catch up to his peers.

Trump admitted in a Thursday interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt that he does not know some of the nuts and bolts issues on the world stage, particularly the names of terror leaders and other players in the Middle East. He also didn't know the difference between Hamas and Hezbollah.

From the outset, Hewitt, who is set to ask questions at the debate on Sept. 16, quizzed the GOP front-runner on a series of issues pertaining to the Middle East.
For instance, he asked Trump about Gen. Qasem Soleimani, leader of Iranian Quds forces notriously leading his army in neighboring Iraq. Trump initially said he knew about him, but then was obviously clueless, and had just lied. So you go ahead and support this moron if you must.

Just know that the newest polls in Iowa put him in a dead heat with Ben Carson, who also, head-to-head, is the only GOP candidate who beats Trump, and does so by a decisive margin, 55% to 36%. Carson knows the names Trump only pretends to know, and his policy statements are over nine pages long. Trump's doesn't even fill up one webpage.

Newsflash: Your guy will not be the GOP nominee.

This be a fair point. Indeed go to and look into those two men some more. I thought these two won the FOX JV team debate personally, but unfortunately it seems the three candidates whom have no experience or record at all have crowded them out.

You are the one that gets angry, and hateful, not me.
Really? Then I guess that explains why you didn't see what I said, because I'm "angry" and you're not?

I said head-to-head.

Carson Is Only GOP Candidate Who Beats Trump in Head-to-Head Matchup

Donald Trump may have reached a new national high point of 30% in the Monmouth University poll released Thursday. But the big news to come out of the new survey is all about Ben Carson.

After tying Trump in Monmouth’s Iowa poll earlier this week, Carson rocketed to second place in the national survey. He is still 22 points behind Trump at 18%, but he is 10 points ahead of his nearest competitors, Jeb Bush and Ted Cruz, who are tied for third at 8%.

[Uh ... don't look now, but that's the poll you repeatedly cited -- really?? -- in multiple posts -- because you're not angry, right?]

Even more intriguing is what happened when Monmouth put Trump in head-to-head contests with the rest of the Republican field. Trump dominated every other candidate besides Carson, who would beat the frontrunner by a whopping 19 points, 55-36% if they were the only two names on the hypothetical ballot.

By contrast, Trump’s lead over Bush was also 19 points, beating him 56-37%. The only other candidate who could come close to beating Trump was Cruz, who still trailed him 48-41%. Trump’s biggest lead of 33 points is over both Chris Christie and John Kasich.[/FONT]
That's just yesterday. That also the exact same poll you referred to as "the latest polling" -- showing it to contain facts you very carefully ignored.

Your prejudice shows, despite the several times on this thread you tried to beg off being a Trump supporter. Again, the result of your reality-show mentality, the inability to think beyond triviality, or past the facade.

The REALITY, that you and most Politicians REFUSE to SEE,
is that MOST VOTERS are sick and tired of Politics as USUAL.
Define what WE THE VOTERS WANT DONE, and then
trash can your waste of TIME and MONEY Partisan Politics games,
AND "GET'ER DONE!"

Which is why Carson beats Trumps hands down 1-on-1. People don't want a reality-show/circus candidate. They want a solid candidate who has answers. Your clown-candidate has nothing but one-liners and soundbites. No substance. No plan. No clue.

Define what WE THE VOTERS WANT DONE, and then
trash can your waste of TIME and MONEY Partisan Politics games,
AND "GET'ER DONE!"
And if you think that adds up to Trump, you haven't listened to anything from him but his "You're fired!" B/S that means absolutely nothing in the greater scheme of things.

People who have heard both Trump and Carson and given them equal consideration prefer Carson. Get used to it.
