Because I trust God and because of grace, here are some 'Doing Somethings'...
- I walk by faith and not by sight (is not walking a work of the believer)
- I am to mind not high things ((Rom 12:16) Is not this a work of the mind?
Example: 2 Cor 3:10-7
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
7 Do ye look on things after the outward appearance?
- I don't judge or condemn others
- I don't listen to slander or malignity
- I am gracious to others and give them hope through the promises of God
- I think evil of no man (that is a great work that should be practiced more and more)
- I love my neighbor as myself
- When adversity strikes, though is slay me, yet I learn to trust God in all things (this is a great work)
- I lay my life down for my friends and do not count my life dear to myself
- I am lead by the Spirit and learn patience and longsuffering (fruit)
James 1:2-8
2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering.For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
