I strongly disagree with Sanders on his abortion position. However, the OP is not accurate in expressing Sanders' sentiments of abortion. I understand Sanders' reasoning for being pro-choice (he wants the government to leave the decision to the mother, family, and doctor), but it is still against what I view as ethical.
Having said that, the president doesn't have the authority to change Roe vs Wade. This doesn't excuse him of his stance to me, but it makes it less significant as it would be if he could.
