I do wish sometimes I was a better artist. (MY sisters an amazing artist) I also wish I could sing like most people in the thread. I also wish I didn't have heart surgery so I could eat all the salt I want. I also wish I could speak japanese so I can buy jrpgs and be able to play them.
That sux that you can't have salt. I'm not supposed to have much salt either. :p I hope your heart is much better now.

I wish I could write as well as you. Your stories are written so effortlessly and dynamically, I'm amazed at all the fine details and your many-faceted characters. :D

Speaking as someone with a previous brown thumb, you can keep one plant alive. (One is doable. A whole garden is...meh. I now have a yellow thumb. lol)
1. List plants you wish you could grow. A dream wish list.
2. Read up on how to take care of them -- what they need (sun/shade, lots of water/little water/very very little water, what acid/base soil, clay/loam/sand, how much fertilizer/what kind/how to give it) and, if it's a house plant, where to put it. (South window is perfect for dessert plants, west is best for sun loving succulents and leafy plants, east is okay if it gets plenty of sun, and north is going to kill the plant, and one plant prefers a darker space then any window will give it (Iron plant) -- info only good for Northern Hemisphere.) If it's not a sun lover, then you need to learn how far from a window it has to go. (My Lucky Bamboo is fine on a table right next to a west-facing window. It would die on the windowsill. My shade-loving succulent would die next to the Lucky Bamboo, so gets a table lamp that's on 24/7 for the winter, and under my butterfly bush all summer.) And learn about the pest and diseases that plant can get.
3. Judge which one you can do with where you live and how much effort you want to put in, and then pick the one that's left.

Green thumb isn't a natural talent. It's learning about each plant BEFORE buying them. (My problem is I like to buy and then learn. Ooops. lol)
Okay cool :) ^-^

right.... i wish i could be able to compose music or be able to draw/paint pictures I have in mind. Also I wish I could be able to fly airplane and to be able to have enough money to buy a house so I don't have to spend 60% of my income only to rent of my current home.

This is interesting. I can compose a little bit and make up some fun lyrics, but I can't get my fingers to work to play anything :)

It is never too late to learn how to swim Gareth! The more frequently you do it, the more comfortable you are in the water, and the easier it feels. The human body is naturally very buoyant, and virtually everyone is physically capable of swimming, but what prevents many people is fear.

Do you have access to any swimming pools?
I would start off slow by floating on your back and relaxing, and forcing yourself to flip from laying to standing until it's a controlled motion...then work on kicks and arm strokes, making sure you are exhaling anytime your face is underwater (do NOT hold your breath). It's harder to learn from reading about it, of course, but sign up for 2-3 lessons and commit to swimming once a week or so, you'll be doing laps in no time.

Just a general tip, if you can learn AT minimum to float without panicking, (and even better, how to tread water) you can reduce your chances of drowning.

About a year or so ago we had a car go over a bridge after being bumped from behind and it always just stuck in my mind how if the driver could have just let himself float for a few minutes someone could have rescued him. He panicked once he escaped from his car, shouted his goodbyes, and drowned.

I wish I was better at being spontaneous. I need to have itemized lists for almost everything I do, and it's bothersome to me sometimes. Especially at the grocery store. I can't make decisions about what to buy, and if it isn't on my list, it's not going in my basket. I think my diet would be more varied if I could make decisions off the cuff and just pick something up.

I wish I could play an instrument that would be useful to me as a vocalist or marry a guy who can play an instrument that is useful to me as a vocalist. Haha...either would do. ;)
