I agree the idea of eternal torture for a finite life does not make sense.
Eternal destruction is different though.

What purpose is there to create being who given the chance want to not exist
and to punish them by torturing them for eternity about something they did not

In a true moral case, someone is good as good can be, but fails in one area.
They are under judgement as if they failed in all. So they need to be punished
for eternity.

This is why some religious people said the issue is balance the good with the bad.

We are called to walk with the King, to know His ways, and dwell with Him as His

Hell and what is experienced there is a manifestation of the love of God. The wrath of God is the love of God being manifested on those that reject Christ's sacrifice for sin.

Hell is how the love of God feels to those that reject Christ. God is love - not that He has it - love is His very essence and thus anything that flows from Him will be love in manifestation.

It's kind of like "doing good to people and it heaps coals of fire on their heads".

It's interesting the Greek word for "wrath" means "to be under the influence of intense passion."

The wrath of God is the intense passion of His love for them. It will be a fearful thing to fall into the hands of God and feel that intense passion of His love that has been rejected by not believing in Christ for their freedom from sin and instead have true life with the Father and our Lord.

It's all in context context, if your speaking of this verse Mark13:27 than heaven is properly translated as sky when use in the proper context of a statement four winds ends of earth and ends of heaven aka sky..

I did look at the scripture, compared all the other scriptures that included the same greek word for prepared. I think we just assume that God created hell. It doesn't actually say He did. We could also read it as that place that the devil designed for himself after he was kicked out of Gods presence.

Then look at the facts...God is love...all encompassing love of a nature that we have much trouble understanding. Forgiving all just because we recognize we are wrong in every way, repent of it and receive His answer of deliverance from this place that we all are headed for if we don't receive an alternative.

That to me sounds more like God. He gave His all for all of His creation that we can be with Him. Heaven, the true place He has designed. Sorry guys but I think Jonteel is correct and we all were hoodwinked by a misunderstanding of scripture.

Look into the Aramaic as well as Hebrew for other uses of the word prepared. for these language are important as well not only Greek. Greek translations comes a little later than the rest. Mark was one of the first to translate the orginal language into Greek.
