What may well happen is that if the indefensible borders that the UN wishes to enforce are enforced, then war will begin. The nation of Judah may begin to seek God in the only way they know, sacrifices.

When those sacrifices are stopped, we need to have our seat belts buckled...

Dan 8:23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
Dan 8:24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
Dan 8:25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
Dan 8:26 And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.

What vision for the latter times?

Dan 8:11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.
Dan 8:12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.
Why would someone who repented and turned to God blaspheme God by sacrificing animals? The Old Covenant is DONE. Hopefully you realize that a person who truly turns to God will come to him through Jesus Christ and not the blood of bulls and goats.

Kayla, you can add one more to your list. :) Although I haven't been in ministry for 20 years, but I've been a believer for a while and I've read the bible a few times.

God loves His chosen nation, Israel. No one can change that fact! And God has made promises to her that have not come to pass yet, but He shows in His word that in the last days, they will come to pass.

It's an exciting truth and I rejoice in it. As we see the stage being set for
Israel, I get more and more excited for them.

It also effects all believers because if God made promises to Israel and then brakes them, how could we ever trust Him. And we join into their Covenant. God made a new Covenant with Israel and Judah and we as Gentiles join into their olive tree.

They are the apple of God's eye, always have been.

Kayla, I don't know if you've studied Zechariah or not, but I'm studying it right now. It's a Kay Arthur study and it's done inductively. I'm so excited, because last year we studied Ezekiel and this will help put some more pieces of the puzzle together for me.

I want to study Isaiah, Daniel and Jeremiah as well. I have read them all, but I pick so much more up when I study it.

I love Messianic music as well. :)

Don't let these guys get you going and get you upset. We know the truth of God's word and so lets rejoice in it and not allow them to ruffle our wool. :)

Amen to that.....Salvation is of the JEWS...Jesus was pretty clear....and they will have their KING in their LAND on HIS THRONE. The Lion of JUDAH will rise to defend his people (the JEWS) and HIS/their LAND (ISRAEL) those who reject this, deny this are missing the mark, ignorant of truth or willfully in sin denying the facts.....end of story!

Amen, Israel is at present being punished for her sin, But that does not mean God does not love her, Just as he loved us BEFORE we were adopted as his children.

While I think people take this peace thing too far (even people in my country, there will not be peace in the middle east, saying there will be is a laugh) We know from scripture God still has a plan for the world. and Isreal. It is is a great plan for Jew and Gentile alike..

Why people look at it with fear and horror and unbelief just amazes me..

I was in ministry 20yrs, but apparently Im in sin and getting left behind. Well, the three of us sinners need to make plans and a place to meet once these "righteous" ones go on ahead and leave us.
I can tell you, I will stand with Israel to the end of the age....the national promises are woven through the whole bible. Israel, in their own land, will have their KING (the LION of JUDAH) and he will rule the world from Jerusalem on the throne of David for 1000 years with Israel being the preeminent world power...end of story!

My pastor is giving me books on this subject to read all the time.Apparently he's getting left behind too and he's been in ministry a lot longer than I was !! lol It really is fascinating to study and to see as history is lining up with what the OT said. It amazes me that there are people who dont see it! The dry bones will live again, just as He promised! Thank you for your post. Blessings!

one book that changed my mind was things to come by Dwight Pentecost. I do not agree with everything he says But he makes some great points. well worth the read (even though it is an old book)

there are many books I would suggest reading books from all beliefs, and then comapr each to the word of God. and then chose from there..

But we must do it with an open mind.

I read the book of mormon for a friend of mine I was tryign to witness to.. I read wiht an open mind, it did not change me, if nothign else. made my faith stronger..

Galatians 3:16 KJV
Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

I don't get it... this verse seems very clear THE PROMISES. Where are these "grace" and "physical blessings" separated?
Sorry, missed this post and I am late replying...

Gen 12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

Abraham was promised to be a great nation and to be a blessing. Two parts here.

Gen 13:14 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
Gen 13:15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
Gen 13:16 And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.
Gen 13:17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.

National greatness. Physical blessings.

Gen 22:15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,
Gen 22:16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
Gen 22:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
Gen 22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

All nations are blessed by the line from Abraham to Christ.

Gen 28:14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

Again, as the promises are reiterated, they are two-part promises.

We could cite more but let's skip to the salient scripture...

Gen 49:1 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.

When, then? No, in the last days.

Gen 49:8 Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee.
Gen 49:9 Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
Gen 49:10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
Gen 49:11 Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass's colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:
Gen 49:12 His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.

In verses 10 - 12 we see a prophecy of Christ. Notice this is the tribe of Judah, the people we incorrectly call Israel today. If you will simply do a study of what occurred when Rehoboam ascended to the throne after Solomon died, you will see that there was a split and Israel split into two nations. Israel to the North...

1Ki 11:31 And he said to Jeroboam, Take thee ten pieces: for thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to thee:

Also, Judah and Benjamin to the South.

1Ki 12:23 Speak unto Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and unto all the house of Judah and Benjamin, and to the remnant of the people, saying,

Now notice that Rehoboam was the king of what nation? The nation of JUDAH, not Israel. In fact, the first time the word Jew is used in scripture is II Kings 16:6...

2Ki 16:6 At that time Rezin king of Syria recovered Elath to Syria, and drave the Jews from Elath: and the Syrians came to Elath, and dwelt there unto this day.

Notice the context...

2Ki 16:5 Then Rezin king of Syria and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel came up to Jerusalem to war: and they besieged Ahaz, but could not overcome him.

Israel is at war with Judah (the Jews).

Back to the issue...

Gen 49:22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:
Gen 49:23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:
Gen 49:24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)
Gen 49:25 Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
Gen 49:26 The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.

Joseph was to carry Israel's name forward...

Gen 48:16 The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.

Israel's name was to be named on Ephraim and Manasseh, Joseph's sons. Not on Judah.

The nation we call Israel today is really Judah, not Israel.

I agree there were Jews from ALL tribes scattered abroad but during that time there was no kingdom of Judah and kingdom of Israel, there was only Israel occupied by Rome. I see that as the divided kingdom had ended.

Please explain to me when the Jews have accepted Jesus Christ. They only recognize the OT as God's word. The Jews today who still do not recognize Jesus Christ for the LORD and God will turn to God in the only way they know how. The way that they read about in the OLD TESTAMENT.

Do you not understand that? If so, please investigate the belief that most Jews have in Judaism.

I agree there was more than one promise to Abraham but the PROMISES plural were made to Abraham and his SEED Christ.
And Christ received these physical blessings of land, the gate of their enemies...

Gen 22:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

Gibraltar, the Panama Canal, the Cape of Good Hope, the Hawaiian Islands, Puerto Rico, the Suez Canal, Dover, Hong Kong, Guam, the Strait of Malacca, the Khyber Pass, etc.?

National wealth...

Gen 49:22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:
Gen 49:23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:
Gen 49:24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)

and land and nations...

Gen 17:8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
Gen 17:9 And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.
Gen 17:10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
Gen 17:11 And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.
Gen 17:12 And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.
Gen 17:13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
Gen 17:14 And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.
Gen 17:15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.
Gen 17:16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.

Galatians 3:16 KJV
Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
No, the promises were to the descendants of Abraham. You are pulling one verse out of context here.

Wasn't Israel and Judah joined back together at the time of Christ?
Then why did James write this?

Jas 1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

Show me scripture that says the twelve tribes were reunited before the Millennium. After you do that, reconcile this passage...

Eze 37:15 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
Eze 37:16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:
Eze 37:17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.
Eze 37:18 And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these?
Eze 37:19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.
Eze 37:20 And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.
Eze 37:21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
Eze 37:22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:
Eze 37:23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.
Eze 37:24 And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

David cannot be king over them until he is resurrected...

Act 2:29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

A true child of Abraham will not turn back to animal sacrifices because they will have the Holy Spirit in them and the Holy Spirit wouldn't lead them to that.

What you don't seem to understand is that all Jews are Israelites but all Israelites are not Jews. The Jews were but one tribe of twelve. All Pennsylvanians are Americans but not all Americans are Pennsylvanians. Same with Judah, one tribe of twelve.

The national name of Israel was not applied to Judah, but rather to Ephraim and Manasseh, the sons of Joseph...

Gen 48:16 The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.

Them who?

Gen 48:1 And it came to pass after these things, that one told Joseph, Behold, thy father is sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.
Gen 48:2 And one told Jacob, and said, Behold, thy son Joseph cometh unto thee: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed.
Gen 48:3 And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,
Gen 48:4 And said unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, and I will make of thee a multitude of people; and will give this land to thy seed after thee for an everlasting possession.
Gen 48:5 And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.

Gen 48:8 And Israel beheld Joseph's sons, and said, Who are these?
Gen 48:9 And Joseph said unto his father, They are my sons, whom God hath given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them.
Gen 48:10 Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he could not see. And he brought them near unto him; and he kissed them, and embraced them.
Gen 48:11 And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see thy face: and, lo, God hath shewed me also thy seed.
Gen 48:12 And Joseph brought them out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth.
Gen 48:13 And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel's left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel's right hand, and brought them near unto him.
Gen 48:14 And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim's head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh's head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn.
Gen 48:15 And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day,
Gen 48:16 The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.

All scripture...

2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Not just selected scripture from the NT only.

A true child of Abraham will not turn back to animal sacrifices because they will have the Holy Spirit in them and the Holy Spirit wouldn't lead them to that.
And the nation we call Israel today are all Christians? The religion of that nation is Judaism.

And Christ received these physical blessings of land, the gate of their enemies...

Gen 22:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

Gen 49:25 Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
Gen 49:26 The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.

and land and nations...

No, the promises were to the descendants of Abraham. You are pulling one verse out of context here.

Act 2:29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

john832....Thought you might want to know that this group you are trying to help has three months worth of help in numerous other threads. they will not listen and simply want to argue with others. Much to my disgust I had to place several of them on a ignore list.

I do agree but if I do not attempt to warn them...

Eze 33:6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.

John 4 is an amazing encounter. The Israelite woman from Samaria encounters Jesus at a well. The Samaritans had a syncretic religion, a mixture of pagan idol worship and Torah legacy from the days of Israel. The Jews had become the guardians of the Law, 2 Chronicles 11:

13 And the priests and the Levites that were in all Israel resorted to him out of all their coasts.
14 For the Levites left their suburbs and their possession, and came to Judah and Jerusalem: for Jeroboam and his sons had cast them off from executing the priest's office unto the Lord:
15 And he ordained him priests for the high places, and for the devils, and for the calves which he had made.
16 And after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts to seek the Lord God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto the Lord God of their fathers.

Hence "salvation is of the Jews". At the time Jesus spoke, salvation (the Torah) was indeed in the hands of the Jews

John 4
19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.(lit: of the Jewish Nation)
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

But read verses 21&23. The Old Covenant age is over. Trying to say "salvation is of the Jews" under the New Covenant is an anchronism, and a fallacy. If you really believed it, you would put your money where your mouth is, and go to Jerusalem, and adopt Jewish practices. Good luck with that.

By invoking 'salvation is of the Jews' today, you are putting yourself back under the Old Covenant and the Law....
