There no more than 2000 years old and only the apocrypha and the old testament. None of the new testament is apart of the dead sea scrolls.
They still speak to the manner and accuracy in which the Israelis were trained in their copying and recording of the revealed written Word of God. For instance:

The texts from Qumran proved to be word-for-word identical to our standard Hebrew Bible in more than 95 percent of the text. The 5 percent of variation consisted primarily of obvious slips of the pen and spelling alterations (Archer, 1974, p. 25). Further, there were no major doctrinal differences between the accepted and Qumran texts (see Table 1 below). This forcibly demonstrated the accuracy with which scribes copied sacred texts, and bolstered our confidence in the Bible’s textual integrity (see Yamauchi, 1972, p. 130). The Dead Sea Scrolls have increased our confidence that faithful scribal transcription substantially has preserved the original content of Isaiah. So it's a fact that the Christian God who is Jesus, kills people (Or lets say for the sake of the argument) has killed people.

God has killed millions, and not just evil people (Animals, children & infants both male and female)

How is this acceptable?
Your God kills people.
Who were they?
Flood victims in Noah age, Sodom and Gomorrah , Yos 6:21, etc.
Were they actually God’s people? , where were sent to this perishable world by God? ( from the eternal realm being sent to the earth for wandering/ their names were listed in the book of life before the foundation of the world?) No.
Then who are they in the eyes of God ?,
Rom9:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
9:8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed

John1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Rev17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Now we see there are two kind of humans in this world : belong to this world (at the beginning with no spiritually being inside /born of flesh), belong to God /God’s people/ the chosen/spiritually being who are sent to this world from the eternal realm by God to wander/ names were listed in the book of life before the foundation of the world.

No one knows who really are born of flesh, either born of God ( with spiritually ears , and without ) only God knows.
The scriptures told us about them , in order us understand about the premise of salvation : saved = only by God’s Grace / not by work.
So born of flesh men will not have any spiritually value either they live 0 year, 50 years or 100 years---> for God’s people sake then God permits some killing event to be happened , note: no one knows who really are God’s people , only God Himself knows.

Knowing that, how do you simultaneously love God if you fear him.
Or better yet,how do you justify being an expert on what you sit there and guess at as if you are some super smart better than God know it all with some little guy condescending attitude?

It is and you are being thrown things from all over the field.

This is probably the most war like forum on this site. Folks would rather talk than listen. Attack than pray.

Saddens me.
I like you.

That it certainty not true, the bible just raises more questions. It's why there is apologetics and Christians arguing about a million diffrent doctrines.
People like talking about the things they are interested in. I used to love talking about God things and hearing people's God stories, long before I became a born again Christian :)

I'd like to get a bunch of you in a room and ask you to ask God the same question and see if you all come to the same answer by this spirit.
We are not to put God to the test. Do you know what that means? He does not play parlour games.

It is clear that this thread has grown to big to manage, and my OP has been lost in translation. I won't try to recover the base argument, as I have more than enough answers to read and think over.

I say thank you to all who joined in this discussion, but I regretfully leave this thread.

It is a big endeavor, to create a thread as you have and attempt to answer to all who respond to you. Kudos to you for your effort, and thank you for graciously thanking us. I say in return you are welcome, it has been a pleasure, please remember to get down on your knees and humbly ask God to reveal Himself to you :)

Think you may be wrong on that one

Jesus-
Mat 5 43
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’

DSS 1QS -
I [The Master shall teach the sai]nts to live(?) {according to the Book}
(4Q255, 257) of the Community [Rul]e, that they may seek God with a
whole heart and soul, and do what is good and right before Him as He
commanded by the hand of Moses and all His servants the Prophets;
that they may love all that He has chosen and hate all that He has rejected;

and
(war scroll) Blessed be all those who serve Him in righteousness and cursed be all the sons of darkness. this was a yearly ritual they did.

nowhere in the Hebrew bible are we commanded to hate anyone.

Jesus-
Mt 12 11-12
11 He said to them, “Which one of you who has a sheep, if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not take hold of it and lift it out? 12 Of how much more value is a man than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”

DSS-
(Damascus document) No one shall help an animal give birth on the Sabbath and if it falls into a pit or a well on the Sabbath he may not lift it out.

Again, nowhere in the Hebrew bible does it talk about pulling an animal out of a pit on the Sabbath.

Thats just a few and there are many more

Duh lol why would God teach his children all their is to know in one sit down with reading his Word. This is why his Word is active and alive. Scripture is God breathed and giver of life. Our current intellect, discipline, wisdom, and age has a lot to do with the differing of opinions. Ask a Christian child did David cut off Goliath's head and then paraded it up to Saul. They will have no idea because God has intended them to learn the children's story of David and Goliath. Same as adults, me at age 25 May has better insight that age 14. But a person age 60 May tell me truthful things from God's Word my mind never even caught on to. One things true apologetics is giving a defense for our faith but arguing over a million different doctrines, not really true. The denominations may debate over little things but most all will agree Jesus is the answer to all questions. Questions are good my brother but only if you know what to do with the questions God laid in your heart. How do you seek for the answers? If I ever was to run out of questions that's how I will know when I have reached Heaven. Question, seek, learn, and question again. This is how wisdom grows. Always learn with one hand and have the Bible in the other. We must test all knowledge with the word of God.

The bible is like an onion or the earths crust it has many many layers and only one who has a deep and personal bond connection and love with God can dive into the more deeper layers of his word. However no matter how close one is to him we can read the bible for a thousand years and continue to learn more from him and become closer to him.

The bible in my view is not a book or a guide it is the very heart of God himself

Your God doesn't speak anymore, now does he.

All of Gods dictation for today is writ from a 2000 year old book.
I think you have this the wrong way round---

It's not that God does not speak but rather that people refuse to listen ! which started way back in the OT when God personally gave HIS Commandments to people Ex 20v1, v19; Deut 5v22-25.

God can do anything, but for some reason it has to be this anything.
See? This is what I mean by you seem like a third grader coming in to an advance class and thinking you're the one teaching it. The Old Testament shows how every other choice panned out. Haven't you even read the Bible?

What makes Christians think that the creator of the universe is the character Jesus? That would have to established first of all, before I can make any determinations.
Actually, it really has been established. You really don't know the subject matter you're boasting you will teach us all, do you?

I can go to a physics forum and tell them all that Einstein was a crackpot, but the only thing that proves is how stupid I am. Admittedly, I am stupid on most subjects, but, unlike you, I don't go out of my way to prove that to people with understanding of the subject matter.

I can honestly say i do not follow God because of fear of hell.. And if there are people out there who think they are following God and there reason is because of fear of hell then they are not following God.. Because coming to understand the full revelation of Gods will removes all fear because once a person understand the extent of the Love of God for us ( He suffered death to save us from the lake of fire).. That Love removes fear .. This is revealed in the scriptures..

1 John 4 KJV
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19 We love him, because he first loved us.

So i Love God because i read the entire message of the Bible.. I realize that God loves me.. It's the knowledge of Hius love for me that keeps me glued to Him willingly with Great Hope and peace of mind.. Yes there are Hell fire and brimstone preachers who do ranting sermons to people and have little kids terrified in their congregations but we have thousands of these kids that grow up to become unbelievers.. So fear has a bad record at keeping people believing God.. fear is not an emotion that can be maintained for a life time it destroys peoples minds.. But the Love and wisdom of God.. Now that creates real Love for God in ones heart and great admiration for God so that one has no problem believing God and holding on to God with a loving embrace for ones entire life time.. When one discovers the Love of God then ones fear is totally removed...

Indeed they are impossible for us humans to follow without failure,, in trying to follow them one will be failing in their attempts each and every day because the rules of God are there to show us that we Cannot successfully follow the rules of God . You may then say then why have rules if we cannot follow them without failure?? Because the LAW's job is to show us our problem that we are imperfect beings needing God to save us ..

So while it is hard to obey the rules of God it is not hard to Believe That rules of God are truth and Good... Bible reveals to us that we are saved through BELIEF and TRUST Believing God's message and trusting (having Faith) in the way God has made for us to be saved.. That being through the Atonement that Jesus secured for us on the cross... NO one is saved by succeeding to obey Gods Laws without failure..

Then discover the Love of God which casts out all fear.. Understand what God did by demonstration (Jesus death and Resurrection ) that won me and most of the Heavenly Host over to joyful recognition of how absolutely justified God is to being the One and Only God of all existence and how absolutely wrong it is for people and satan and his fallen angels to reject His perfect will.

Fear of God is the beginning of Wisdom.. It is not the end of Wisdom.. The end of the journey of Wisdom is the discovery of the love of God which casts out all fear within us..
I love your answers man. Thank you.

When I first met future-hubby we became friends. The kind of friendship where, if he decided to move clear across the country, I would have followed him for fear of losing that friendship.

And then he asked me out on a date.

And then we were married.

I haven't followed him clear across the country, but we certainly have moved often enough that I know I will always follow him no matter what. (I'm a small town girl who was afraid to cross a river and land in a big city just for a moment. I've now lived in this city I used to fear that much. He got me to do that, because I followed him.)

Same deal with God.

A kid told a boy's dad that he smashed a sandcastle. The boy's father replied, "It's ok, he built it, he has the right to destroy it." The kid came back again and said he destroyed a castle a little girl built. The Father disciplined his son because he had no right to destroy what someone else created.

God created us. He has a right to take our lives. And if He does, it is not sin. Aside from this, God does do what is best- even if our feeble earthly minds cannot understand how.

Lets say the child He destroyed would grow up to be Hitler. Let's say a child He did not destroy grew up to be Moses.

God does not 'play god' like humans do- bent on power and lacking humility. God has a reason for everything He does- it's called "God's Will." A Will which included the death of His own Son Who is precious to Him. He sacrificed Him for us. He is not like evil men who torture others for the thrill of it because it does not hurt them personally. God hurt. God wept. He sacrificed so very unselfishly.

I do not understand how some things. The Bible says most souls will not go to heaven. Maybe every soul that was killed as a child was not a soul bound for heaven. I dont know. But what I do know is that God is good and has never sinned. But we have. Therefore, we are not to question God, God is to question us.

The He struggle is not to understand God's decisions- His thoughts are not like our thoughts. His ways are not like our ways. Our struggle is to mind our own business, and to "work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. One who questions God probably does not fear Him.

Ah but you see we are not all of the same Spirit. We have the Holy Spirit and we have the spirits of the world.

The spirits of the world and human pride causes the disagreements and arguments,

I know you probably left this thread.

So I will just say your questions reminded me of some I asked and I remember my own response.

Heaven didn't appeal to me since those same people told me all my family and friends were going to hell anyway.

How God finally reached me was a heartfelt conversation with another college student at 1 am in the parking lot for hours. I don't remember everything we talked about but he said that accepting Jesus was like having a best friend for life that would get rid of any spiritual darkness and help you understand the true meaning of the Bible.

It's been a journey since then and I have learned a lot. Most of all how much more there is to learn and how to be at peace with not knowing ALL the answers to the universe. Faith is trusting that God loves you and has good plans for your life and that he forgave you your sins because of what Jesus did upon the cross.

Humanity moves from the simple message to complex theology out of pride and seeking power and control.
